01/09/2025: We had 10 minutes to our bus departure and everything else was closed. We were really hungry but we had to take something to take out, so we couldn't take cannolo. We took last croissant and a cheesecake and it saved us during our trip back to Catania. Cheesecake was amazing !

31/07/2025: If you find yourself in Agira, a visit to Malucchiffari (at least) is a must! We ate there several times during our vacation, whether it was appetizers, pasta, pinsa, or meat – it was always delicious. You could taste and feel the love and passion with which the restaurant's kitchen and service are run. The restaurant has a modern interior, and in summer, you can enjoy your meal outside on the piazza.

30/07/2025: The restaurant was simply fantastic! The food was a delight every time, and we couldn't get enough of it. That's why we went there almost every day of our vacation. The outdoor seating on the piazza is particularly beautiful and creates a wonderful vacation feeling. The service and owner were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel completely at home.

27/10/2025: I give this place 5 stars. It's well worth it, both for the food and the service. Everything was excellent. I had the BBQ shank, and it was one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend it! Besides, after dinner, you can easily play a game of pool with your friends.

05/10/2025: A bakery that still makes bread according to the traditional recipe. The owner is what you might call a son of a baker. I remember when, many years ago, I would go to buy bread from his parents, strictly black, hand-kneaded and baked in a preheated wood-fired oven, and he, as a little boy, would play around. The black bread is excellent, as are the pizza and biscuits of the most classic Castelvetrano tradition. A taste is highly recommended.

19/08/2025: A real treat! The black bread roll, a specialty of Castelvetrano, is absolutely delicious. A unique and authentic flavor that reminds me of Sicily. I love it, and I will definitely come back!😋

17/09/2025: Delicious pizza on perhaps one of the busiest nights of the year, the Eve of The Feast of Saint Mary Magdelene. This little gem of a town, Alimena, was hopping and three hungry Americans -- we Ladies -- were so happy to sit for awhile with delicious pizza and fine white wine. Yummy! ❤️🍕❤️🍕❤️

14/09/2025: Yes, okay, a nice place with attentive staff. A good effort isn't really a good job. The pizza was okay (but not really more than that). My fish arrived when my husband had finished his pizza (which wasn't prepared in a flash, since most of the guests here seem to only eat pizza): a "local" fish (forgot the name), grilled, for a whopping €31.50 (!!!) for 450g – about 150 meters from the sea or the harbor. But it was prepared with absolutely insignificant flavor and without any refinement (spices, herb/garlic butter, etc.), not a separate plate for the bones! Along with a few thin slices of run-of-the-mill white bread, and for another €7, a small plate with a handful of thin slices of eggplant and zucchini (I'd completely skipped the tomatoes). Salt, pepper, and oil were only available upon request, and toward the end, the staff (several times!) took your plates from the table while you were still holding your cutlery and chewing, regardless of whether you might have wanted to eat the remaining bread with olive oil, for example. Friends of Italian cuisine: I can get a meal like this in the middle of Germany, in Munich, hundreds of kilometers from the nearest sea, much tastier, more lovingly prepared, and even cheaper – that's simply unheard of! Completely overpriced and overrated.

26/09/2025: It's worth coming for the entire range of fish "antipasto" appetizers. Served in small portions, one after another, on multiple plates :) Delicious and fresh, tried many times and always delicious. Spaghetti with seafood... mmmm :) I RECOMMEND P.S. 17/10/2025: The accommodation is beautifully landscaped. The room is clean and spacious. Tanja is very friendly and helpful at breakfast. She also speaks German. As a German, you'll need plenty of time at the restaurant. From appetizer to main course, it takes 1.5 hours. We were told that's normal in Sicily. 🤔 We'll see, we'll try a different restaurant tomorrow.
