27/02/2026: For the past three years, we've spent three weeks each year on our Sardinia tour – and every year we've returned to this restaurant in Urzulei, nestled in the mountains. It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, deep in the mountains, and that's precisely what makes it so special. An absolute dream. Here, good, honest cuisine is still paramount. This family-run business, managed by the owner's mother, radiates so much warmth. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with passion and tradition. Everything is fresh, authentic, and prepared with incredible love. In three years of Sardinia, we haven't eaten as well anywhere else. It's always a highlight of our trip and has become a fixed part of our itinerary. If you're looking for genuine Sardinian cuisine, warmth, and quality, this is the place to be. For us, it's one of the best places on the entire island. We'll be back. 🥰❤️

20/10/2025: We had an excellent experience here; none of the criticisms mentioned in the reviews were accurate. Lovely ambiance, plenty of space, very friendly staff, all the food was of very high quality and delicious, the ice cream (especially the olive oil variety) was excellent, and the price/performance ratio was absolutely right. Absolutely well-deserved 5 stars!

11/11/2025: I rarely leave poor reviews but I was disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. I had the calamari and it was overcooked and rubbery. The seafood that the others had was not as fresh as one would expect from a restaurant that specializes in seafood. We were a party of 4 and we had all eaten our meals and the table had been cleared - we were ready for the bill. A waiter then showed up with my husband's main course and when we told them we were ready to leave they refused to take the food back. The servers did not check on us during the meal. Overall a poor dining experience for a fine dining restaurant.

03/11/2025: Beautiful, spacious, and very popular restaurant. Reservations are recommended. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. The strangulausu with goat ragù are truly delicious!

07/10/2025: This restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, and unlike other restaurants, it's open during unusual hours, including in the afternoon. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was very generous and delicious, prepared fresh and quickly. The pizza with fresh tuna and stracciatella is a hidden gem. The restrooms are very nice and clean.

24/10/2025: Superlative dinner in a spectacular setting. The family is incredibly hospitable, helpful, and incredibly kind. You can watch the pig being carved and sit by the fire while it cooks. The more you look at the sheepfold, the more you discover; every corner holds a surprise, from the wooden sculptures to the fossils embedded in the rock, to the ancient tools. A magical place immersed in nature. Reservations are required; follow the directions rather than Google Maps: 3 km of well-maintained dirt road, but still difficult for very low cars. An ABSOLUTELY worthwhile experience if you're in the area.

07/12/2025: We were cycling with our group at a critical point, and this place saved our lives. Everything in town was closed, and Itala literally saved our lives by opening her kitchen just for us! She prepared some absolutely amazing pappardelle with ragu for a fantastic price. Eternally grateful! A perfect ten!

06/10/2025: A well-maintained, very nice little hotel complex with a lovely pool and garden. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge selection, always fresh fruit, tomatoes, cucumbers, and always black bread. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, so we felt very comfortable. The only drawbacks: -The bathroom was very small, the shower so small that you couldn't wash your feet without kicking your feet. -You could feel every spring in the mattresses. Unfortunately, reception couldn't really help us, as putting an extra sheet underneath didn't help. We ended up finding two sun lounger cushions ourselves. Perhaps it's a good idea to have mattress toppers on hand for such cases. -What I also found very disappointing were the pool times. Since we're motorcyclists and were usually out until 2 p.m., we would have liked to cool off in the pool then, but it wasn't allowed until 4 p.m. It would have been nice if there were a bit more flexibility, especially since the hotel only had adults at that time.

06/12/2025: This restaurant serves Sardinian meat-based cuisine (they no longer serve fish, contrary to what some older online reviews suggest), refined yet simple—a very pleasant combination. The service is attentive and unobtrusive. A decent selection of quality wines. The restaurant occupies a small room with limited seating. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, thanks to the tasteful music played at just the right volume. The bill is fair, considering the excellent quality of the food. I highly recommend it.

13/11/2025: I don't know what to say: it was an experience. Absolutely delicious and something completely different. The menu changes every week. In my opinion, it's on the pricier side, but definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean.

14/12/2025: Under the guise of a quick and honest takeout on our way back from Nuoro, we visited Orchidea Blu; a trio of pizzas, "and we're gentlemen." Well, the dough wasn't exactly convincing. It was generous—sure!—but maybe even a slightly thinner one would have been better. It made you feel a bit nauseous halfway through the pizza because of how thick the crust (NEVER THROW AWAY) and the center were, a bit of a shame. The toppings were decent, nothing excessive or reductive, the classic "in-between" that doesn't do any good or harm. Service was just above average, wait times were reasonable, just the right amount; the owner was a bit impatient when you took a little longer to decide what to order... Neutral atmosphere, slightly confusing entrance, passable, let's say. 3/5 overall, nothing special or extravagant, the classic modest restaurant with pros and cons. - Mat. Honest review based on current events. A future response will be accepted at the owner's discretion.

25/11/2025: Excellent restaurant in the town center, with professional and attentive staff. We enjoyed both the meat and seafood, everything fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.
