10/03/2026: It's always a wonderful experience dining here. All the dishes bear the distinct signature of the charming and histrionic Carloforte chef Luigi Pomata. The route he offers during the tuna race season is spectacular. Prices are reasonable for the service and food quality.

15/02/2026: Valentine's Day, with my girlfriend: This is the fifth time I've been to Pomata in a few months, but I'm still treated like a complete stranger. The waitress comes to our table after a long wait and sets it rather brusquely. Afterwards, while she jokes with the people at the table next to her, carefully explaining the dishes, as is customary in high-end restaurants, she almost throws our plates on the table, whispering, "tuna..." (it was a tuna fillet, with foie gras and cream, and eggplant mousse) and walks away... On another occasion, she's quite icy and finally gives my girlfriend a dirty look. I decide it's too much, and without saying anything to her, I get up, go to the cashier, and ask if she'd kindly have another waiter attend us for the rest of the dinner. The cashier, without even asking why, immediately takes their employee's side, saying, "Are you kidding? She's been with us for years... She's great!" I ask her if it's normal for a very good waitress to rudely place a dish on the table and leave without a smile or a description of what she's serving... something that happens in upscale restaurants and that I see happening at other tables. I ask her how I should rate their restaurant and repeat that I don't want another waitress to come to our table who, for no apparent reason, gives us dirty looks. While the cashier continues to say it's impossible and doesn't believe it, I return to the table. Pomata arrives and asks us if everything is okay? I say no, and when he asks for an explanation (not wanting to burden my girlfriend's evening), I invite him to have his assistant at the cash register explain it to him, to whom I'd already told everything. For dessert, a very friendly waiter finally arrives to serve us, who not only describes the dish but does so in a very engaging way. At the end of the evening, we go to the cashier, and neither Pomata nor the cashier, despite being present, offer any further information about our evening, much less apologize for their employee's rudeness. We leave, and while I'm thinking I'll hardly ever return, we meet the friendly waiter outside smoking, the only positive note of the evening, besides, of course, my beautiful companion. I think that food aside, in a place where expectations should be much higher, it would be enough to have a different view of customers, so as not to lose them...

09/12/2025: Be careful, because you're not entering a pizzeria in Cagliari... You're entering a temple of cuisine, the place where flavor is created! So don't you dare ask for mushrooms on a "Sarda" pizza because "no, the pizzas here aren't altered." God forbid that four mushrooms be paired with sausage and casizolu, what a gross affront to the chef! And if at the cashier you're asked the classic "everything's fine," limit yourself to a "yes, thank you," because sincere feedback isn't appreciated; in fact, they might even tell you they'll give you a discount and then enter the undiscounted total at the POS. Oh well, maybe he was right, because I won't even say I wouldn't go back, even for free. The second star is for the place, which is truly beautiful.

10/01/2026: The pizza was good, but we booked for 9:30 PM on a rainy day. We had to wait outside for half an hour, and then, after sitting down, we waited another half hour to order. Furthermore, the dining room door was right next to our table, so it was cold if left open. The staff, however, was very friendly despite the high-pressure day.

15/11/2025: A little corner of Sardinia just outside Cagliari, a truly pleasant discovery. The traditional dishes are carefully crafted and delicious, and the staff is always smiling and welcoming. A genuine atmosphere and excellent value: definitely worth a try!

07/02/2026: We came here thanks to a Smartbox lunch, and from the moment we spoke to Alessandra, I noticed a great deal of helpfulness and kindness. I explained to Alessandra that I don't eat meat, and she and her staff prepared a meat-free menu. The dishes were very satisfying: beautiful to look at and very tasty. The place is very clean and well-kept. The staff is super friendly. We will definitely be back.

The croissant was really delicious and full of cream👍🏻👍🏻 I wish there was a cafe like this near my houseㅠㅠ It was a cafe that I fell in love with so much that I was sad to leave. Everyone, you should definitely visit~~!

09/10/2025: In a city center that, in my opinion, is now overrun with pubs, restaurants, and bars with no identity or real perspective, it's truly comforting to know that there are still places that stand out like BrewBay, a truly thoughtful project that, with its beers, food, and music, is capable of offering an experience, not just an anonymous moment of eating and drinking. Their identity, personality, and atmosphere envelop and engage you from the first moment, and the staff complete the picture with kindness, smiles, and expertise. To be clear, if you ask for something on the menu—be it a suggestion, a variation, or the ingredients for a dish—you certainly won't get the now-regular, confused, or even worse, annoyed looks. As for drinks, in addition to the many craft beers on tap that are the main focus of the place (Santa Sant'Helles always!), there are also many other cocktails, long drinks, bitters, and more. The kitchen menu distances itself from the industrial "a little bit of everything, just to sell" mentality, offering a selection of carefully crafted and delicious dishes, also suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and often accompanied by seasonal specials. Unfortunately, I have to say that, after tasting the crostone, when I'm there for dinner, it's almost impossible for me not to choose it, so I still have many dishes to try, but then again, life is about choices and the consequences of those choices :) The music, including live music, completes the atmosphere without ever becoming a nuisance to socializing. Another final bonus, and a big plus for couch potatoes, is that they also show football matches.

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, today we waited over an hour for two sandwiches... they served a table first that arrived about 45 minutes after us. I'm sorry, but even when we asked for an explanation, they ignored us... I should point out that there was also a little girl at our table.

18/03/2026: We arrived 30 minutes before closing time and even then they offered us a table and explained the entire menu without the slightest rush. Without a doubt one of the best barbecues I've ever had. My family and I moved to Puglia recently and where we live there are no Brazilian restaurants, only in the neighboring town. And I definitely had to come and try it. The atmosphere was very good, the people were extremely professional and very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant and when we come back here we'll definitely go there again.

14/03/2026: We visited this Brazilian restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The all-you-can-eat menu with table service using traditional swords is impeccable: the waiters are quick, and the meat always arrives piping hot. The picanha is the real star of the evening, tender and flavorful, but the chicken and pork cuts are also exquisite. The buffet is equally impressive: it offers a wide variety of traditional dishes, including excellent feijoada, farofa, and plenty of fresh salads to accompany the main courses. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is lively, perfect for a dinner with friends. I highly recommend finishing with the grilled pineapple and cinnamon. Excellent value. An ideal place for those who want to discover the authentic flavors of Brazilian cuisine in Cagliari. Recommended! 🇧🇷🥩✨

17/10/2025: A small restaurant in Cagliari's Marina district, chosen by chance for our last Sardinian dinner. A perfect choice! First and foremost, my compliments go to the staff: friendly, never intrusive, and attentive to the needs of both human and animal guests. We ordered two appetizers and two first courses of excellent quality: meticulously presented, without too many frills... and the taste, gentlemen, is a symphony for the taste buds! My calculations are consistent; if I were at "Quattro Ristoranti," I'd give it a 10 in every category without hesitation! Truly well done to the kitchen and the dining room staff for a place that is definitely worth experiencing and visiting during your visit to Cagliari!
