20/09/2025: We had dinner with some friends. I ordered a chili and found an insect on the plate. I reported it to the waiter, who answered and told me. We ordered a tiramisu and also found a hair there, so we reported it and it was changed. When paying, no apology for what happened and no discount, which would have been the minimum... But whatever, it will probably be a place to forget.

11/09/2025: A welcoming place, excellent food, a variety of craft beers, on-site parking, and friendly and professional staff. Recommended for an intimate dinner or a snack with friends.

11/10/2025: Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but very slow service. It took hours to eat four dishes, including dessert, with small portions and a small dessert. The price was excessive: €200 for two. From experience at the many restaurants we've been to, I'd say €150-170 was perfectly reasonable.

30/09/2025: I had booked a group with Duanima and there was a refund pending from there end. It has been 6 months and despite continuous follow ups, they have not refunded the payment.

07/10/2025: Excellently managed family hotel, it feels like home. Spacious, clean rooms with all the amenities. The room renovations are remarkable. EVERY DAY. 🤙 which doesn't always happen. The simple food is authentic. The breakfast is heart-stopping, there's everything you need, don't miss the homemade apple pie. Spectacular. What more can I say? I've booked for next year. Thank you 🤩

07/09/2025: I can't thank Patrizia and Cristina enough, they are delightful and welcoming people. After a health problem, I chose this hotel to recover, and I must say I couldn't have made a better choice. The place is beautiful, the food excellent, and the pool wonderful. I feel much better than when I arrived. Thank you so much.

08/10/2025: The appetizers were average; the fregola with clams was good, and the main course consisted of frozen calamari rings and frozen grilled Argentine prawns. The problem was that the prawns were full of sand, and when you cut the head, a dark liquid oozed out, leaving it empty. In my opinion, it doesn't deserve its reputation; there are much, much better places.

27/08/2025: We stayed in this wonderful hotel the week after Ferragosto... What can I say? Everything was perfect!! Starting with the owners, who are disarmingly kind, and the same can be said of all the staff, who are efficient and beyond courteous. The rooms are comfortable and super clean, and the restaurant/pizzeria stands out for its excellent value. We highly recommend it!

23/09/2025: A gem in the heart of Quartu, not your average place, with an excellent wine cellar that, under Roberto's guidance, always becomes a new experience, whether it's dinner, an aperitif, or after-dinner. In short, a place where you can spend pleasant evenings without ever getting bored.

23/09/2025: We switched to Locanda Leonildo dal Buongustaio after a very unpleasant experience at another “locanda” in Cagliari. Silvia & Leo turned our vacation around and restored our peace and enjoyment of this beautiful city. The accommodations were superb and a much elevated experience compared to the other “locanda.” If you are looking for a modern and comfortable and complete place to stay, look no further. The accommodations, food, service, warm welcome and experience were excellent and beyond our expectations. We enjoyed some of the most resplendent and unique culinary foods ever. The wine selection was impressive (and delicious and Silvia and Leo selected the best pairings for our meals). Let’s talk desserts. With each bite, you can taste the years of experience and incredible talent that goes into these sweet treats. They are pastry perfection. We owe Silvia our most heartfelt gratitude for turning our Cagliari experience around. What started off as a horrible, unpleasant and uncomfortable stay at another “locanda,” without needing to explain, Silvia made us feel welcomed, safe, happy, and peaceful. We literally do not have one negative thing to say about our time and meals at Locanda Leonildo dal Buongustaio. We highly recommend both the restaurant and accommodations without hesitation and with absolute confidence. We will be definitely returning and will choose no other place when in Cagliari. As frequent world travelers who have stayed in countless hotels, locandas, bed & breakfasts, etc., around the globe, Locanda Leonildo dal Buongustaio is a standout. We give it the highest possible rating and are grateful for our time there. They saved our vacation and restored much needed rest and peace.

02/10/2025: I came across this restaurant with my husband and I'm so glad we picked this place. We had two starters (a Baccalà dish and melanzane dish), both absolutely delicious. Then for main I had a steak (parasangue di manzo alla piastra) and my husband had malloreddus with goat meat. Both dishes amazing. This place is such a finding. I read a negative review here on Google but I suspect that person must have issues with their palate because the food was amazing. And the staff super friendly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting this town.

26/09/2025: Of the restaurants we tried in the area, this was the one that impressed us the most, both for the quality (and quantity) of the food and the fair prices. The restaurant is well-kept and modern in design. A perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Recommended!

04/07/2025: Fast table service. Courteous staff. Well stocked and nice display of pastries. Unfortunately I could not taste them and therefore I cannot add more stars. After a long time I went back to this place. And having learned over time to write reviews I resume what I started some time ago. I reconfirm what I have already said and add further details. The place is tidy and very clean, the same goes for the bathrooms. The staff is always very courteous. The service is fast. Praise to the young waiter who served us illustrating the various desserts available. Having learned of the intolerances of one of us, he immediately went out of his way to provide a vegan croissant with a filling of our choice. He also told us that almost all their desserts are lactose free. This shows great care for intolerant people. For this reason we will return again to have excellent breakfasts.

02/07/2025: We were there on a Tuesday for an aperitif formula and we left with the desire to return. Very kind staff and abundant aperitif despite the cutting board for the occasion including drinks. We will definitely return to try something else😍

04/09/2025: Excellent restaurant serving traditional cuisine. We chose the fish dishes. The hot and cold appetizers were fabulous, and the first courses were delicious. It's a shame we didn't have more room for the second courses (the portions are decidedly generous). Good selection of wines. And you can't leave without having drawn a good spirit.

08/10/2025: The best pizza :) A small restaurant where they really know how to make pizza. Extremely friendly staff. It's not a restaurant, but a takeaway or delivery pizza place. We ate there once, otherwise we took it with us and ate it on the beach across the street. The pizza comes in a box instead of on a plate, which is rustic, but we love rustic and simple. We ate there 6 times out of 8 days because everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and for us, the very best pizza. Thank you, we'll definitely be back :)
