La Paranza Ristorante In Taranto

We arrived at 2:20 PM and were greeted with great hospitality, which is certainly not a given: that alone deserves praise. A truly elegant location, with a splendid seafront view that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly throughout the lunch. The food? Without a doubt, high quality, with fresh ingredients and well-executed dishes. If I really had to find a "quote" (more out of honesty than actual criticism): - I missed the peppery mussels... because a peppery mussel should be peppery, not just a "cozzata" 😉; - on the tiramisu, however, the cocoa was a bit too much, slightly overpowering the other flavors. Aside from that, nothing much to say: the quality of the food was truly superb and the overall experience was absolutely positive. I would definitely go back. 👍

€80 for a starter, first course and second course without wine, a normal fish meal. Quite expensive.

The couple's lunch was fine, but not exceptional. Lunch consisted of peeled mussels as an appetizer, a tube of mussels in sauce, and a bigolo with clams. In detail: - Well-kept restaurant, excellent hospitality, and excellent menu presentation. - Fast and precise service. - Bland peppered mussels, mussels clearly not from Taranto, most likely Adriatic or Greek. - Tube of mussels excellent and well-balanced. - Bigolo with clams good but salty. Conclusion: It's a real shame that a place overlooking the sea and the old town, and the winner of a show that certainly gives it good publicity, misses out on the star ingredient of Taranto cuisine. Such an iconic element for Taranto cannot be replaced by anything, let alone in its own city. Sorry

I went to this restaurant for the first time for a business lunch. We ate wonderfully, everything was excellent, and I made a great impression. I don't eat fish, and I was prepared to eat pasta without sauce, but they also had excellent meat options, and I ate wonderfully too. I'll definitely be back.

We return to La Paranza after a few years and find a very elegant, renovated restaurant, but with the same expert management, a place where traditional flavors blend with innovation and modernity. Highly recommended.

Really special seafood risotto and a great variety of wines

A perfect experience in every detail, from the food to the service. A charming place with a sea view, clean and welcoming inside. Impeccable service, well-trained and incredibly kind waiters! Jazz music in the background Abundant and high-quality dishes. I absolutely recommend it.

We were in Taranto for personal reasons and while searching online for a place to eat, we saw that this restaurant was the winner of Borghese's 4 Ristoranti program, and yes, we chose it! And we were right to do so; the owner was very kind and recommended some dishes and an excellent wine. Sometimes, trusting someone is a good thing. The service was professional, unobtrusive, yet pleasant. The waiter, after realizing we weren't local, told us some facts about the swing bridge and other anecdotes—very interesting and enjoyable.

It's small but the food is excellent. Seafood too...
