06/07/2025: The owner is really a rude person, not suitable for the arrogant and rude public. I strongly advise against this restaurant. We had to go to the tavern next door, called Osteria da Silvano (two different places), but unfortunately it was all full and we ended up in this other restaurant. If you are looking for a restaurant and by chance you find a place in this restaurant, make yourself a sandwich, you won't go wrong.

29/06/2025: Arrived at 9.30pm first courses served at 11.30pm total confusion tables served without order of arrival place to avoid I usually don't leave reviews but they don't deserve it

25/08/2025: I was truly shocked by this place. The fish served is of embarrassing quality: tasteless, soft, and with a smell that alone would be enough to put you off. The service is sloppy and incredibly slow: you have to wait forever for a dish, and when it finally arrives, it's even presented in a sloppy manner. The owner presents himself in an embarrassing state, to say the least, giving the immediate impression of a place run without any care or professionalism. The most absurd thing, however, was seeing the table staff take out the trash while I and the other customers were at the table and then immediately serve the tables, with no attention to hygiene whatsoever. Speaking of hygiene: the overall standard of the restaurant is appalling, with a pervasive feeling of dirtiness that makes it impossible to enjoy the meal. In short, an experience to absolutely forget, especially considering the €30 a head.

23/08/2025: We wanted to try something different in Vieste after eating at various restaurants, trattorias, and beach clubs on our vacation. MISTAKE! Simply the worst ALL YOU CAN EAT experience we've ever had. Horrendous food. Terrible service. Waiting times between courses were a mere 15 minutes. We asked the waiters for our food, and they all insulted us in poor Italian and told us that we had to wait, because it was so long. Two rubber ravioli with disgusting 3cm meat arrived after a 40-minute wait. A nightmare!!! Save your money or go spend it at a local restaurant, there are thousands!

24/06/2025: A pleasant discovery! Welcoming and well-kept place, perfect also for those with special dietary needs. I really appreciated the variety of gluten-free dishes: the grilled chicken and strips were tasty and well cooked, but the real surprise was the gluten-free piadina: soft, tasty and filled just as I wanted it. The assassina really very good. It is really rare to find such high attention for celiacs without sacrificing taste. Highly recommended!

24/06/2025: I bought a takeaway chicken, without salt it even seemed old, not even a seasoning. I really do not recommend going there.

23/02/2025: Good sushi made with fresh fish. Good choice of wines. Friendly staff, quick and willing to satisfy the requests made to them. Location located in the city center, excellent for getting around the central districts of the city.

27/07/2025: I stumbled upon this pizzeria because of the rain, but perhaps it would have been better to take water. As soon as we arrived, they sat us down and gave us the menu. I chose the €20 seafood menu, which included an appetizer, first course, fried main course, sorbet, and a drink. The appetizer included a ridiculously large amount of octopus salad. The first course was good, but the pasta was sweet, and the fried fish was truly paltry, like I was on a diet. I understand that €20 isn't a great deal, but at least it was filling. Table service was acceptable. Avoid.

20/07/2025: Je ne comprends pas les commentaires négatifs écrits récemment. Ce n’est pas un restaurant étoilé mais on le sait quand on regarde le menu et le prix. Bon rapport qualité prix. Les pâtes aux fruits de mer à conseiller et vins e qualité à prix sympa.

24/07/2025: Sono stato portato in questo ristorante da amici del posto, non essendo di Taranto, con l’idea di assaggiare un piatto tipico della zona e vivere un’esperienza autentica. Purtroppo, è stata una grande delusione. Nonostante ci fossero pochi tavoli occupati, il servizio è stato inspiegabilmente lento: abbiamo aspettato a lungo per ricevere i piatti. Nessuno si è premurato di darci spiegazioni o attenzioni particolari, il personale sembrava anche “scocciato”.. Il cibo era buono, ma le porzioni erano davvero misere, specialmente la frittura, che è arrivata scarsa e poco soddisfacente. Un vero peccato, perché il locale ha potenziale e una buona posizione, ma l’organizzazione e la gestione del servizio vanno sicuramente migliorate.

11/07/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nel cuore pulsante di Taranto vecchia; mangiato spaghettoni con vongole , risotto pesce e patate e pacchetti pescatora ecc eccellenti. Poco come punteggio debbo dire quando invece sono eccellenti e anche molto servizievoli. 5 pallini per me. Fermatevi ci sono anche i menu

08/09/2025: The place is quite remote but close to the beach, but the place is very average and not very clean. The food is homemade and very good, but when we paid, they charged us whatever they wanted. There's no price list and they don't even give you a receipt or anything. The staff was friendly, but I think they just gave us a hard time because we were tourists and we didn't speak the language. I don't recommend it at all, or ask the prices before starting to eat.

07/09/2025: The bar seemed nice, and we ordered a sharing menu. This was questioned several times, and we confirmed it. We received the primi in a small portion, followed by a large plate of secundi. In the end, he charged us for two full menus, even though we only had one and had only ordered one. We felt ripped off!

10/08/2025: The cashier staff was very rude, and the wait time for 5 pizzas was too long, literally over 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you want some advice, like I said at the restaurant, come visit us and I'll show you how long it takes us to make 4 pizzas.

06/04/2025: The food is very good, but whoever manages the place (and I'm not referring to the waiters, who did their job very well) has probably forgotten their manners at home, in some drawer gathering dust. Incredible how the first thing we were told was "you're late", in an arrogant and annoyed tone. It's a shame that the number listed on Maps is wrong, that we were walking around in circles for 10 minutes, and that the place is really not very visible from the outside. For those who don't know the place and go there for the first time it's a bit like looking for a Mayan temple in the jungle. It must be said that the welcome was truly unforgettable. Also, anxiety. Sit down at one time, get up at another time. Everything already established, as if it were a place in German-speaking Switzerland. I mean, is it a place to eat pizza on a Saturday night or the refectory of a barracks?

07/08/2025: Be careful, they're stealing. They cut up the tarpaulins and took some of the goods. The police say it's not the first time. I don't recommend it for a break, unless it's empty and with the doors open.

06/07/2025: Beware of the prices! I stopped at the Sarni gas station and at the cash register Mr. Nicola slammed me with two bottles of water and a Coke for a total of €10.50. I noticed that the price of the first bottle was already inflated, but incredibly the second bottle was also slammed with the same wrong price. A mistake can happen, but twice in a row is difficult to justify.
