29/08/2025: OUR USUAL ANNUAL APPOINTMENT FOR AN ALMOND SORBET. IT'S NOW A RITUAL THAT'S LASTED FOR YEARS AND YEARS, AND I'VE BEEN ABLE TO NOTE SEVERAL FACTORS THAT HAVE LED ME NOT TO AWARD FULL STARS THIS TIME. 1) THE DROPPING PRICE RISK 2) THE SERVICE INFLUENCES DEPENDING ON WHO I FIND; IF I ORDER 4 SORBETS OR 4 LECCESI COFFEE (for example...) I DON'T FIND IT FAIR THAT THEY DON'T BRING ME (AS HAS ALWAYS BEEN DONE) THE SAME GLASSES OF WATER (even tap water...) WHEN, ON THE CONTRARY, THEY HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEXT TO MY TABLE... AND I DON'T HAVE TO ASK FOR THEM, BUT THE SERVICE ITSELF SHOULD PROVIDE FOR THEM!!! 3) COMPARED TO OTHER YEARS IN THE PAST, I HAVE ALSO NOTICED A SLIGHT DECLINE IN THE QUALITY OF THIS BAR'S STRONG POINT, SPECIFICALLY THE ALMOND SORBET...

23/08/2025: Nice place to have a coffee and some dessert or a brunch. It's located near the entrance of the Gallipoli Castello, in one corner of an early 20th century grand hallway building.

17/08/2025: I went on August 15th. Besides the terrible service, the food was horrendous—the first courses were inedible, the tagliatelle were tasteless, the risotto was basically overcooked boiled rice with only one scampi in it. Not to mention the fried food was rubbery and dark in color, so the oil was completely used up. The wait was an average of an hour per course. The owner should do some soul searching, especially considering the €50 we paid. Wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy.

04/08/2025: An evening with 17 guests, the helpfulness of the waiters was appreciated, and I think the owner, too. Everything else was almost forgettable. Various appetizers served: - potatoes, rice, mussels, and kcozz = a distant, bland relative of the dish - sea bream carpaccio (I think) = cod flavor, despite the marinade - beans, mussels, and potatoes = good - tagliatelle al Barolo, tough and drowned in cream, despite that, you could taste the acidic aftertaste of the sauce and the frozen porcini mushrooms (the version without cream didn't fare any better) - seafood risotto, tough, drowned in garlic, 90% creamed with the ready-made broth, and the quality of the seafood... inedible. - mussels with pepper, at least they were cooked, but before doing so, they should be cleaned properly and the byssus should be removed. - fried seafood, a little too dark in color, rings difficult to cut even with a knife. Needless to say, most of the dishes were left untasted and unfinished... See you never again, thanks

06/08/2025: We visited Masseria San Pietro for lunch and had a truly delightful experience. The location is enchanting, immersed in the quiet Salento countryside, meticulously maintained and very welcoming. The service was impeccable: the staff were friendly, discreet, and attentive. The menu offers traditional dishes with a tasteful twist, prepared with quality ingredients. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. A perfect place for those who want to enjoy a relaxing lunch in an elegant yet authentic setting. We'll be happy to return!

03/08/2025: We had dinner here thanks to a spa package. The atmosphere was comfortable and very simple. Very attentive service, but the menu wasn't very convincing. Worth trying again.

22/04/2025: La camarera era muy amable y la comida era sabrosa (un poco fría) sin embargo: Sirvieron un plato antes que todos los demás, luego sirvieron a otras tres personas y se olvidaron de un plato más. A la hora de pagar (les he pedido que cancelen el plato restante) , me pidieron que fuera al mostrador y esperara allí unos minutos antes de que alguien se fijara en mí. Y por supuesto que me cobraron 6 € por el servicio.

20/04/2025: Abbiamo deciso di fare un aperitivo classico da dividere in due perché non avevamo molta fame. Veramente terribile il servizio perché abbiamo aspettato 20 minuti per niente. Questo perché non avevamo fame e il cameriere ci ha detto che non potevamo prendere solo un aperitivo e una bottiglia di acqua.

30/05/2025: They have wonderful Pralines, a dozen types, my favorites, coffee, and almond cream... Then as many if not more pastries with cream and chocolate, cream cannoli, etc. etc. Also the coffees, cappuccinos, lattes - macchiatos are really excellent. And at reasonable prices. They also sell tickets for the 'circular', and for Foggia etc. Very kind and professional service. In my opinion, the best - also for refinement - Café in the city and surroundings. ************* Now, towards the summer, you can find various types of ice cream (instead of pralines...). Downstairs the self--service, which --the manager assures me -- gives complete lunches (or 1st or 2nd) at usual prices.

30/05/2025: Great cafe with a warm atmosphere and excellent croissants/pastries. A true Italian-style cafe with quality products and friendly, professional service.

06/03/2025: Terrible service to give a phone or postepay top-up they take forever they only serve their acquaintances or those who have to eat first...once they even denied me the use of the toilet! And I was in an emergency health situation complete with medical records from the emergency room...luckily the owner's son, after my complaints to a gruff gentleman with glasses, luckily let me use the bathroom.... But unfortunately that guy continues to stay there forever and never laughs for a two-hour wait for a recharge! Today he didn't even come to the terminal and I left! Keep up the good work 😒

12/06/2025: Trattoria bien notée au guide du routard mais expérience très décevante. Un plat de sèche trop cuite et presque immangeable, nageant dans l'eau. Un porcelet insipide nageant également dans l'eau. Un vin au verre sans montrer la bouteille et sans le tester avant. Bref mérite un large détour.

05/05/2025: Locale storico nel cuore pulsante del paese, caldo ed accogliente, sia per la struttura e l' arredamento che per la disponibilità ed ospitalità del personale. Le pietanze rispettano la tradizione culinaria pugliese senza essere banali e scontate, con un pizzico di creatività che le rende ancora più gustose, e con materie prime di buona qualità, dall' antipasto al dessert.

29/07/2025: T H A R G is a compliment. The "appetizers" consisted of undrained pickled vegetables straight from the industrial jar, the eggplant and zucchini were mushy, the "cured meats" were purple, almost black, for the cheeses; let's forget about them. The pizzas were completely burned and left on the table. The bill was unspeakable, considering what was served. Unlucky evening?

29/06/2025: I ordered a medium cone for 4 euros with the option of adding a third flavor. The ice cream was good but I expected something more given the cost. A wide selection of flavors, all very interesting.

29/08/2025: We stopped by chance at this cozy little place, unpretentious, and sat down immediately, greeted by Mr. Antonio. We ordered three appetizers, four main courses, two side dishes, wine, and a dessert. We weren't expecting such portions, and especially the quality of each dish. My compliments to the chef :) Our first evening in Monopoli ended divinely.

27/06/2025: if it were possible to put less than zero I would put it. I waited 4 pucce for about 1 hour and obviously they had been baked much later than my initial order which also included French fries. After continuous complaints and having prepared the pucce (which arrived after exactly 55 minutes) the fries were missing and the lady tells us "they are in oil" when a few minutes before she had distributed about ten portions to several customers. Furthermore my order had been made when the pizzeria was EMPTY. a terrible disorganization, very little seriousness for customers who are not friends of the pizzeria or for the boys??? Terrible.
