05/11/2025: We stopped for lunch. The place is very close to the center. We were just unlucky enough to be at a small table, but that was only because it was crowded, and they were kind enough to seat us, so we accepted. Exceptional food. Average prices.

01/11/2025: Warning: potential tourist trap! A fellow student and I visited this restaurant because it was recommended by the local Italian language school that we were attending. This was one of three restaurants that the school recommended, as the school gave us a plastic card that was supposed to provide a discount when dining there. Upon seating us, a waiter brought to our table an oven pan with two whole baked fish in it. He shoved the pan in front of my colleague, indicating that he should order it. Since we're just students of the language, the pressure was on to select it, and that's just what my colleague did. I politely declined the offer, so next, the same waiter brought out a huge platter of raw meat to me, urging me to select a steak. I declined that offer, as well. We later noticed that the staff was following the same aggressive presentation to the table next to us. When the whole baked fish arrived, the waiter asked my colleague if he wanted the fish filleted. My colleague said "yes," not knowing that he would incur an extra 12 euro charge for that service. The food that I ordered was edible. I have had good braciole before; this was not a good braciole. It was tough and dry, even though it was served as cooked with tomato sauce. I have also had seafood pasta dishes that were admirable in Puglia; my seafood pasta dish that night was not very good. Some of the mussel shells hadn't even opened when they served me the plate. The real kick was the check. For a restaurant recommended to students for its discount, the check was 137 Euros. When my colleague presented the card issued by the language school, they reluctantly gave us a 7 euro discount. We should have known of the tourist trap potential when it appeared that most every patron was a visitor -- and not a local. There are some great restaurants in Alberobello. Please be careful with this one.

02/06/2025: We ate 2 amazing cream croissants! The lady who welcomed us was very kind. She also gave us some advice on the beauties of Lucera to visit.

12/10/2025: Rude staff, poor hygiene, stay away!

25/09/2025: TERRIFYING! We were regulars at the bar/ice cream shop, but after what happened, not only will we never return, I fear I won't even be able to eat ice cream for a long time to come. While I was enjoying a Black Cherry ice cream (which already had a different flavor than usual), what I thought was a candied cherry turned out to be a COCKROACH, complete with legs. The horror and disgust are indescribable. As if that weren't enough, when I understood my reaction, the owner not only didn't apologize, but dismissed me with a chilling: "These things can happen." The fact that an insect could wander into a restaurant is questionable enough, but finding one in a food served to customers is unacceptable. Never again, Coco Loco.

19/09/2025: Starting from the assumption that, coming from Bari, we were accustomed to different standards for significantly higher prices. We booked through TheFork, so it was a double convenience on top of their super affordable prices. Platters for €15 (which in Bari we would have paid €20-25) Gourmet pizzas for €10 (the same goes for less than €15 here). Very kind and courteous service, available for any request. There was a children's party there, and they themselves offered to give us a table further away to avoid any possible inconvenience. Excellent quality, too! We're not MasterChef judges, but the taste was definitely there. Parking is easy to find outside the restaurant, and there's plenty of space, which is not to be underestimated. We'll be back with our eyes closed.

07/09/2025: Very bad food, 1 hour wait. A €9 pizza wasn't very good. I don't know if I just had a bad day. I'm giving it 2 stars for the atmosphere.

31/07/2025: I tried a croissant and the next day I ordered two trays for an occasion: they were delicious, large, hot, and had a tasty filling in various variations. The woman kindly helped me carry them to the car. A great experience, I'll definitely be back.

22/10/2025: I was craving seafood and ended up here. It was a bit pricey, but the atmosphere was nice. Lunch was listed as starting at 12:30, so I went there and waited, but was told to wait another 20 minutes. I think I was shown back after about 10 minutes. First off, the seating wasn't great. People kept coming and going, probably because it was next to the employee entrance, which was a bit uncomfortable. The food wasn't particularly good, but the seafood dishes were mostly unique.

19/10/2025: The grilled octopus and cuttlefish were unfortunately inedible, as parts were black and rubbery. The chef must have been thinking about other things during preparation. Considering the disaster, the service was unfortunately not remarkable. Pasta (primi piatti) was okay. Conclusion: There are much better restaurants, especially in this price range. Not recommended for tourists.

20/08/2025: Nice and well-designed place. Good value for money. Easy parking. Nice pool.

14/07/2025: This is our second stay here in two and a half years. This hotel has its own charm, the pool is just amazing. And the rooms are adequate. Dora is so kind🥰 every morning she takes the time to prepare a delicious (savory) breakfast for us, and the rooms are always cleaned while we're away. The only downside, when you're unfamiliar with the city, is that they don't serve lunch or dinner (at least during our stay). Be aware that the hotel hosts events on Friday and Saturday evenings, so you have to be prepared before choosing it as your place of stay. And thank you also to Antonio (the owner) for the welcome. 27/08/2025: I was given some sweets as a gift from this bar. The shortbread cookies were good, perhaps a little too crumbly because they fell apart, while the almond paste cookies with candied fruit were quite good but really tiny.

10/09/2025: Passing by on our way from Santa Maria di Leuca to Maglie, we decided to stop for lunch, attracted by the good reviews and its location in the center of Alessano. But once we arrived, we found the shutters down, even though Google Maps said it was open continuously from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. A waste of time.

21/08/2025: Beautiful experience, super good breakfasts, both sweet and savoury, we were enchanted, reasonable prices and friendly, helpful and nice staff.

19/08/2025: The quality of the meat is excellent. It's cooked impeccably. A very pleasant, tidy, clean, and well-kept place. It offers a truly beautiful outdoor patio where you can savor the excellent meat in the company of friends or your significant other! The excellent service and kindness round out the experience. Recommended.

18/10/2025: The young female waitress (with a braid and dark hair, wearing glasses) was unfriendly and couldn't answer any of our questions properly. According to her, the menu offered only pizza and four pasta dishes because of the fall/winter season. We later saw that other guests had been served fish and meat. We were looking forward to our visit after six months. Now we are very disappointed. And all because of poor service. We will give it another try.

14/10/2025: I got a sandwich and a dessert for €6, but the sandwich was half empty.
