16/11/2025: Poor food, frozen fish (there were no asterisks on the menu), greasy pizza. The seafood carbonara was not a real carbonara. Not recommended.

04/11/2025: I went there last night with my girlfriend. I found the atmosphere truly welcoming, with extremely friendly staff. I was also pleased to meet the owner, who is down-to-earth and very friendly. The menu offers a wide selection of appetizers, first courses (both seafood and meat), second courses, desserts, wines, and soft drinks on tap. One thing that particularly struck me, as a lover of fried food, was the small plates on the menu, including French fries, stuffed olives, mozzarella sticks, potato croquettes, and chicken nuggets. In short, the menu certainly doesn't disappoint! Another plus: despite the place being quite busy, the preparation time was perfect. Regarding the dishes, we had a pizza bianca with roast potatoes and a calzone. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked, with neither soft nor crunchy dough, and both light. I'll give a thumbs up to the calzone; it wasn't too full, with 7 kg of filling, but it was delicate, and when you get to the last few pieces, you don't feel too full. Last but not least, the profiteroles and berry cheesecake—nothing to say, simply wonderful! Finally, the prices are more than reasonable; for the quality/quantity ratio, it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend it, if you're not local and happen to be there, to try it at least once. Congratulations! ❤️

19/10/2025: This was our first meal here. NEVER AGAIN! Extremely slow service. Poor appetizer. Pasta too al dente. Meat nothing special. For a starter menu, the main course is €35. Appetizer and first course are €25. We all woke up hungry. Now we know where NOT to eat in San Gimignano.

02/08/2025: For the quality of the sliced meat, I would give it 6 stars going to the checkout, but I can't understand how a green salad can cost 9 euros when a sliced meat costs 18. I repeat, the sliced meat deserved 23 euros too... so it would be more correct to then apply €4 for the salad.

11/11/2025: First time and last. The place was cold. I understand that since it was Monday night, they didn't have reservations, but they should warm up the place at least a little since it's open. The pizza was rightfully cold. There were six of us in the entire place, zero consideration. The coffees were brought with the dishes still on the table, which can happen, for goodness sake, with a packed house. I understand the tiredness; it's Monday, but this job requires kindness, smiles, and a lot of attention to customers. I speak from personal work experience.

We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 30/11/2025: I ordered five takeout pizzas at 8:45. I had to wait 45 minutes for them to be made. The pizzas were awful, I definitely won't be back.
