18/10/2025: The problem here isn't the pizza (which I wouldn't eat again) but the owner, who's clearly on his own terms. I walk in, order, get to the cash register, and put my phone on the terminal (as is done everywhere in 2025), and out of nowhere he blurts out a pearl of wisdom: "This isn't Esselunga, you're one of those who doesn't go to Esselunga because mommy pays." Preface: I don't even know this guy, and I don't know why he'd allow himself to offend strangers, who are also customers, for no reason. I have no idea what mental picture he's created; he's certainly not having a good time. The only thing more absurd than his exit is the pizza: rubbery and flavorless. It's almost folklore in Lucca, but if you're not local, I'll spare you the risk: you don't dine here; you're watching a disturbing clown performance.

05/09/2025: Overall, there is nothing special about this place. The pros are clean, the service is pleasant and the prices are not high, but the main minus is that the food is not very good: we took pizza margherita and pizza with mushrooms for the kids, and focaccia and coffee for ourselves. We left 40 euros for everything. Although the kids really like pizza, they did not like this one. And we, in turn, did not like the taste of coffee and focaccia. Therefore, I advise you not to expect anything special from this place.

23/08/2025: It's been a long time since I've been to David 2. We decided to stop for dinner on a warm summer evening. Air conditioning, few people, perfect food, and very friendly staff! We had our dog with us, and he was welcomed without a problem. Recommended!

16/08/2025: Wide menu selection, from pizzas to first courses, and even burgers. Nice atmosphere and spacious space.

07/10/2025: Very good food. With about seven tables waiting, the young waiter didn't have time to serve us again, let alone clear the table. So we left without espresso and dessert.

05/10/2025: Delicious pizza at a reasonable price. Quick service. We ordered the cheapest wine on offer to accompany our meal, which was chilled and very tasty. Gluten-free pizzas are available. Great location near the beach. Coperto €2

23/08/2025: The atmosphere is very nice, but the service was terrible. It was clear that the two waitresses who served us were making fun of us: they talked among themselves and constantly pointed at us, glaring at us. This behavior was probably due to the fact that an elderly person in our group was speaking loudly because she is deaf. It's important to have empathy and sensitivity towards others, especially if it's an elderly person with health problems. The most appropriate attitude the waitresses could have adopted would have been to approach us politely, rather than mocking him, especially since we have always behaved well. Furthermore, the food was overpriced (four of us spent over €150, ordering two Tuscan appetizers, two seafood dishes, four main courses, and three desserts) and was definitely not worth the price, given that most of the dishes were of poor quality, except for the desserts, which were good. We will definitely never give money to people who make fun of us again.

27/07/2025: A classic trattoria where you can eat very well and spend a fair amount. The place isn't very big, but it has a lovely outdoor area. We tried the pizzas (thin and crispy) and they were good, but the best part is the meat... the Fiorentina steak was good, well cooked, and very reasonably priced. The mixed antipasto was also plentiful and good quality. The staff was very friendly and quick.

12/04/2025: Locale piccolo, moderno, senza pretese. Staff cortese ed efficiente, servizio rapido. Abbiamo ordinato le “nuvole”, ovvero pasta fritta, condite con pomodoro e parmigiano. Buone, forse un po’ carenti di sale. Pizza napoletana con ottimo impasto, ma anche questa un po’ carente di sapore. Dessert buono, anche se la scelta è limitata.

02/08/2025: For the quality of the sliced meat, I would give it 6 stars going to the checkout, but I can't understand how a green salad can cost 9 euros when a sliced meat costs 18. I repeat, the sliced meat deserved 23 euros too... so it would be more correct to then apply €4 for the salad.

04/08/2025: The appearance of the pizzas and the reviews we'd read had convinced us to try it, but it's a shame that the experience didn't live up to expectations. The pizza was difficult to digest, and both my girlfriend and I had stomach aches all night and into the next morning. The ingredients used didn't seem particularly fresh, and this negatively impacted the overall quality. A real shame, because the pizzeria seemed promising.

22/06/2025: We had already been there and the Tuscan pizza 🍕 was confirmed to be of a good standard as were the penne alla maurone, on this occasion there was also the issue of Diolaiuti who, having left the Neapolitan, was ready to break the banks for the rapprochement with the vegans. There was much talk of the cancellation of the bunk beds planned for the new mansion. We saw the crazy girl again.

07/10/2025: Having just arrived in Pisa, we spotted this place, and it was the best decision we could have made for dinner! The best tomato sauce on pizza I've had in a long time, and the spicy olive oil was delicious! They were very nice to serve us!
