15/11/2025: Excellent pizza and good fish dishes

09/11/2025: Compliments on the pizza. The focaccia with cooked ham, mozzarella, and porcini mushrooms was delicious. The waiter recommended ordering the pizza quickly, otherwise we would have been overtaken by a large table. That's a great touch. There were a couple of small misunderstandings, but they still made the evening more fun. They make the desserts themselves (except for the semifreddo), which is a great thing. Fair and reasonable prices. Quiet atmosphere. Overall, a nice place to dine!

03/02/2026: Exceptional wood-fired pizza with a selection of top-quality ingredients. The young man and the owner were very friendly. I've recently moved to the area and will definitely be back.

30/11/2025: I ordered five takeout pizzas at 8:45. I had to wait 45 minutes for them to be made. The pizzas were awful, I definitely won't be back.

09/12/2025: Today was the Avo Versilia New Year's Eve celebration. About 50 of us gathered for the New Year's Eve lunch. Odilio is a well-known restaurant in Torre del Lago. The location is clean and not very bright, making it excellent for family lunches, business lunches, or groups of up to 60-70 people. We enjoyed a well-prepared, traditionally prepared fish menu. The prices were moderately low, and the staff was friendly. Everything was fine.

17/11/2025: We waited half an hour to order, and an hour to get our pizzas, since they gave priority to takeout orders! This is unprofessional! The pizza isn't as good as recommended...

18/12/2025: First customers on reopening day! What can I say...finally! Excellent food! Schiaccina on the house, delicious and plentiful fish dishes, attentive and friendly wait staff, Chef worthy of applause 👏 A mouth-watering dinner, thank you 😉

21/09/2025: Terrible food, we paid for a set menu that included dry, tasteless, and tough baked pasta that I was afraid would break a tooth. Then they served two slices of roast beef, also dry, which I honestly don't know if they turned out that way from reheating them. A small piece of chicken and a small piece of pork chop, both raw inside. Oh, and yes, the menu listed non-existent potatoes. The waiters were kind, but I think the chef is also the owner, who was very rude. We paid a fixed price and forgot about the potatoes. He wanted to offer me coffee, but so I don't have coffee. I asked for a small piece of dessert and was told that I'll give you a €7 dessert? And he threw €10 at me on the table, which I threw back at him. Then, to top it all off, when we left, I assume the cashier had a questionable attitude, even calling us rude. I won't set foot in there again and I don't recommend it.

30/12/2025: We went for an aperitivo with some friends... we arrived, ordered, and after a good 30 minutes the platters arrived (the place was half empty). We ordered two large platters for €25 each (recommended for two people), which were supposed to include: cured meats, cheeses, crostini, mixed fried foods, finger foods for a first course, finger foods for a second course, fried pasta, olives, a savory tart, and a tartlet. The platter arrived with only cured meats, cheeses, crostini, mixed fried foods, and a tartlet. I stood up and pointed it out to the waitress, who said she'd fix it by sending the missing items. Only the two portions of paltry finger foods arrived. Nothing else. I let it go, and before leaving, I brought it up to the waitress again, and she replied that she was sorry but didn't even know what was on the menu. I was shocked by the highly unqualified staff. At the very least, if you can't bring everything on the menu, let the customer know before they order... I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE!!

16/12/2025: Iced coffee (just single coffee and ice) €3.50 I'll leave you to decide, I'd like to point out that there's no table service, just the coffee... and it's mediocre at that.

20/10/2025: An experience not to be repeated...we waited an hour and a half for a plate of penne with tomato sauce and a chicken breast...and the place was practically empty. As soon as we'd eaten our dish, we, like the other three diners, went to pay without even getting our coffee!

15/10/2025: Delicious pizza and friendly service! Our dog was even allowed to come along :)

01/03/2026: Excellent seafood dishes, all fresh and cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended. Good value for money.

22/02/2026: Vomit-inducing with hair in the first courses + 2 first courses and a second course of fried food with half a liter of house wine, 2 sgrappini for a total of €100.00, a shameful thing on top of that, the arrogant waiter!!!!😡😡I won't go back and have them closed!!!!!!!

14/02/2026: I dined at Il Vicolo, booking through TheFork with a 50% discount. The restaurant is simple, with an informal and unpretentious yet welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine is good, featuring local dishes prepared simply yet carefully. You can taste the attention to detail, while still maintaining a traditional, home-style feel. The service is relaxed, not formal, in keeping with the restaurant's ambiance. One note: having booked with a 50% discount through TheFork, the website specified that only drinks and cover charge were not discounted, but when we ordered, we were informed that meat was not included in the promotion. It would be better to specify this in advance or indicate it more clearly before arriving. Overall, a positive experience for a simple, traditional dinner. I recommend it.

21/01/2026: It's very small, so it's a challenge to book, especially since it probably has the best pizza in Piombino and, without a doubt, the best chickpea cake. Fair prices and great staff. Well done!

19/10/2025: This was our first meal here. NEVER AGAIN! Extremely slow service. Poor appetizer. Pasta too al dente. Meat nothing special. For a starter menu, the main course is €35. Appetizer and first course are €25. We all woke up hungry. Now we know where NOT to eat in San Gimignano.
