20/08/2025: A very well-kept and clean rustic restaurant, where you can eat outside under a beautiful pergola. Home-style cooking at fair prices. We ordered three plates of panzanella, three main courses (two pork loin and a tender and flavorful grilled chicken breast), three side dishes of French fries (not the super-fine ones), and 1 liter of water for a total of €41.

08/09/2025: Dear Hotel Playa Team, We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 22/09/2025: Unfortunately, I have to express my disappointment. We ordered two fried foods and a French fry to go, and the price of €41.00 was completely unjustified. The portions were small, and the quality didn't live up to expectations. Then I checked the actual price on the menu, and it said €16.00 per fried food, when they quoted me €18.00 for each. They should consider making improvements.

18/09/2025: The grilled fish platter was not recommended! The shrimp were not deveined and some had a disgusting, sloppy texture. The pizza, on the other hand, was really good.

19/09/2025: The perfect compromise for a good meal in Portoferraio without too many frills. Good-quality ingredients, impeccable service.

04/08/2025: The appearance of the pizzas and the reviews we'd read had convinced us to try it, but it's a shame that the experience didn't live up to expectations. The pizza was difficult to digest, and both my girlfriend and I had stomach aches all night and into the next morning. The ingredients used didn't seem particularly fresh, and this negatively impacted the overall quality. A real shame, because the pizzeria seemed promising.

27/09/2025: I have had Gluten free Risotto, pizza and tiramisu. The pizza was really tasty but I cannot say the same for Risotto or tiramisu. I think Risotto was just not my taste. The tiramisu did not feel like a tiramisu at all :) I would recommend here for the GLuten free pizza 😋 PS: the owner said the tiramisu was done somewhere else and they were not happy with the quality of it either. They will change it for the future so might still be worth giving it a shout next time!

29/07/2025: They could avoid rolling it out with the machine, you can feel it and see it, in my opinion it has too little air in the dough, anyway good service

17/07/2025: Siamo arrivati senza prenotare alle 20:30 e con estrema cortesia ci hanno trovato il tavolo nella terrazza in pochi minuti Abbiamo preso tre pizze, tutte eccellenti e serviti rapidamente Ci siamo tornati la sera seguente e sempre rapidi e tutto eccezionale Mia figlia ha preso Pasta al ragù che ha spazzolato con annessa scarpetta che non succede maiiii Torneremo

11/07/2025: Prima di scrivere la recensione mi presento. Sono la signora di Torino. Sono stata stasera x mangiare una pizza con mio marito. Dire ottima e poco....camerieri gentilissimi e il proprietario simpaticissimo. E stato tutto veramente ottimo. Dalla pizza al dolce Complimenti a tutti. Consiglio a tutti di andare.

30/09/2025: The pizzas were good, the fries were really undercooked. The service was alright, a little slow when things started to pick up (we were there quite early, but it started to fill up when we were about to order dessert). The outside area was really nice. I felt the prices were a tad too high compared to other places in the area.
