06/07/2025: Pizzeria Il Buongustaio – Sorano (GR) A pleasant little discovery in the heart of Sorano. Il Buongustaio offers a really well-made Roman-style pizza: thin, crispy to perfection and with a light but tasty dough. Balanced and good quality toppings, perfect for those who love the “scrocchiarella” as it should be. The atmosphere is simple, informal and suitable for everyone, even families. The service was quick and courteous: we were welcomed immediately, the table was ready in an instant and the orders arrived without a hitch. Despite the short waiting times, the staff was still kind enough to apologize for the wait — a rare and much appreciated gesture. The bill is absolutely honest, well below the average of many tourist places. Excellent value for money, without a doubt. Also convenient to reach: the pizzeria overlooks a small square where it is easy to find parking (be careful, it is a public parking lot and not a private one of the place — but it is right there a stone's throw away, very practical). The only flaw - but I point it out more as a reminder than as a criticism - when it came to paying the bill it was not possible to pay with the POS. Nothing serious, but it is good to plan on having some cash, just to avoid surprises. In short: good pizza, fast service, friendly staff and fair prices. A recommended stop if you are in the area and are looking for a simple, good and stress-free dinner.

01/06/2025: Pizza discreta ma personale poco accordante. Arrivati alle 21:20 e chiesto un posto per 2 + cane. Disponibilità solo interna dove si moriva letteralmente soffocati dal caldo e dall'odore del forno per pizza. Fuori 2 tavoli occupati ed uno dei quali era al dolce; chiediamo di attendere per poterci sedere fuori e ci viene risposto "non si alzano per ora, stanno mangiando e poi alle 22 chiudiamo!" NO COMMENT. Ordiniamo 2 pizze da asporto e le abbiamo mangiate fuori al muretto mentre vedevamo il tavolo che era al dolce liberarsi! Ah non erano arrivate le 22 ancora. Altra pecca? Pos non funzionante !!!!!

03/08/2025: Number one. The best pizza in all of Pistoia. Cute place, but quite noisy and a bit cramped in the dining room. Attentive service. EDIT August 2025: I'm still giving it 5 stars, but a €2.70 cover charge, a €2.50 coffee, and €18 pizzas make it a bit pricey.

The service is a bit slow... despite having a reservation, we had a bit of a wait. So, if you're not in a rush and want to enjoy a delicious pizza in a relaxed, cool summer atmosphere, this is the place to be!
