22/07/2026: What a gem in the city of the mosaic staircase. Finally, after a tour around Sicily, I found a pizza that is simultaneously light and crispy, and bursting with flavor. Even the gorgonzola was subtly present. The pasta was also light with balanced flavors, a delight and highly recommended in a beautiful setting! Pure enjoyment! Naturally, with a delicious limonata and then an espresso to finish...

14/07/2026: The staff were really friendly and efficient, no complaints there. The pizza was slightly above average, good but not particularly impressive. The prices are a bit high for what they offer. Overall, a decent experience, but the value for money could be better.

17/07/2026: Don't miss it!! Kindness, professionalism, quality ingredients, and...everything is delicious! The pizza is superb, even for those with sensitive stomachs. Reasonable prices, plus the fresh mountain air above the city. Highly recommended.

16/07/2026: Exactly the sort of unfussy Osteria I love. It gets 5 stars for the fresh porcini salad. There is no way to describe the deliciousness except to go there and eat it. Service was delightful - our waitress spoke excellent English and was able to guide us to a wonderful selection of food and wine. But seriously, the porcini salad. Maybe the best dish of our whole trip.

20/05/2026: The pizza was delicious, light, and best of all, I wasn't thirsty all night. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were very friendly. I'll definitely be back; it was a great experience, definitely worth a try!

02/07/2026: Great family owned place with friendly staff, cozy small Italian city atmosphere and delicious food of all kinds. Plenty of sea food dishes, pizzas, sallads and meat. Highly recommend!

21/06/2026: We waited 50 minutes for food that was partly cold. Even the bread basket didn't arrive any faster. We didn't want to wait another 50 minutes for the bill, so we approached the rather uninterested staff ourselves. It was also noisy due to the street traffic.

16/04/2026: I didn't like my pizza. It was soggy and unappetizing... Too much toppings, not fresh, not much flavour. The staff was friendly!

09/05/2026: During our week-long stay in Acireale, we ate here twice. The restaurant opens early in the evening, which is a big advantage if you don't want to eat too late. The service is very attentive and friendly. But all of that would be nothing without the fantastic food. We had grilled seafood with a tomato and onion salad and pasta with pistachio pesto and Sicilian antipasti (caponatina). For dessert, we had an iced lemon with sorbet. The food arrived quickly, and the portions were very generous. There was no cover charge (as is usually the case here). Each time, we were also given a delicious sample. The delicious warm bread was also replenished every time. We highly recommend that everyone experience the first-class service and fantastic food for themselves.

05/06/2026: This review comes from 38 years ago when my father was stationed at Sigonella. They didn't have any available base housing when we transfered from Maine, so we stayed in Motta in a high-rise apartment building our first year. I remember sheep being herded down our street, I remember the AMAZING street markets every weekend. I am lucky enough to remember it all. Most of all, I have NEVER FORGOTTEN the pizza sauce from Valentino. There are only a small handful of places that have made pizza that gave me a hint of the taste of that sauce. Every time it hits, takes me right back. We went almost WEEKLY, which was insane for a military family...we didn't eat out at all. I have now made my first pizza at home, myself, and I will spend the rest of my years perfecting the sauce from my childhood. I wish you all the best!

24/04/2026: Valentino is always the best! The food is delicious. Service is top notch. A must go to!

06/07/2026: The wait for the pizza was over 50 minutes. The seafood pizza was very good, the Oro Verde pizza had dried-out mortadella and buffalo cheese, which was hard and dry, and when cut, had the consistency of feta cheese, not melting soft cheese, and the lasagna had no trace of meat.

23/06/2026: We stopped for lunch on our way down the mountain, choosing at random and not wanting to eat something from a rotisserie or even the tourist restaurants near the Rifugio Sapienza. We were pleasantly surprised by both the welcome and service and the quality of the dishes we ordered and that were recommended. The price was in line with the quality, and there was a variety of wines to suit all tastes! Thank you, we'll be back!
