26/10/2025: I've been to Castello di Bacco twice. One evening we went for the Sicilian pizza, and I have to say it was excellent. The fried food was dry and light, the filling was very hearty, and overall everything was delicious. The second time we went was for lunch during October. The place was packed, and we waited ages for lunch. We asked several times for information, and he politely approached our table. The owner was really kind. The appetizer was good, but I wasn't thrilled with the first courses. The mushroom pappardelle tasted like nothing, the fresh pasta with ragù was good but nothing special, and the only truly excellent thing was the pistachio ravioli. Truly excellent, both in terms of filling and sauce. The bill was a bit salty, but that's to be expected, especially on Sundays and especially on bank holidays. I highly recommend this place, especially for the truly excellent Sicilian pizzas. The service is sometimes slow, sometimes efficient.

07/02/2026: Excellent pizzas, original and well-cooked. A wide selection of beers. Reasonable prices. Attentive and friendly staff. Located in the historic center, the restaurant is clean and spacious, with an open-view oven. Takeout and home delivery are also available. Reservations required.

07/03/2026: The food was good, but unfortunately the main course arrived before we had finished our appetizers. The waiter seemed rushed and disinterested. There was a lot of noisy moving of chairs and tables. Not exactly a relaxing atmosphere. What a shame!

31/01/2026: I remembered your pizzas, sure, years have passed but that doesn't justify that... I ordered two pizzas, cost? 29 euros with a portion of dry chips and two miserable sachets of sauces, I received two awful pizzas, thin and undercooked. Today in Catania I no longer know the prices but I think that for what I ordered for €29 I should have received quality and professionalism, I'm sorry to say you are very far away. Following are photos of the frozen and flavourless stringy asparagus, the thin and dry aubergines and I'll stop here. One thing is certain: for me, who lives abroad, finding myself eating a pizza like this was a real disappointment.

01/03/2026: I tried this trattoria on a Saturday in February. The waitress offered us a €30 menu with an appetizer, a generous plate of sautéed mushrooms, a salad with parmesan and balsamic vinegar, breaded mushrooms, and a piece of spicy cheese. Next came a lovely plate of linguine with mushrooms, delicious, and then sausage nestled in chicken with mushrooms and salad. It was all accompanied by house wine and bread, and finished with ricotta cannoli. We'll definitely be back, because in the summer, the trattoria's specialty is fish, and we're very curious to try it.

16/08/2025: If you're a foreigner or a tourist, don't come here. They're not equipped to serve you. I'm Brazilian and have lived in Palermo for almost two years. The waitress completely ignored me as I signaled for my order. After a drink, I wanted to ask for the bill... and she still ignored me. When I got to the cashier to pay, she yelled from outside, "He's the one at the wrong table."

01/03/2026: A very negative experience. During my stay, I found a bowl of pet food near my door and a cat roaming freely throughout the property. I'm allergic to food, and this caused a reaction that required me to take medication to help. Furthermore, the hotel's official website makes no mention of the presence of animals on the property: crucial information for those like me who suffer from allergies, which could have influenced my decision to book. I reported the issue to management, who removed the bowl and the cat, but refused any form of refund despite the inconvenience caused. A hotel should ensure a safe environment for all guests and, at the very least, be transparent in the information provided. I will not return and I do not recommend this hotel.

08/02/2026: Very kind staff. Terrible owners. We asked if we could have dinner, but by changing our plans upon our arrival, they forced us to pay for a dinner we never ate. They were extremely rude and even made things difficult for the staff. Terrible structure. Money-hungry and not at all friendly. Absolutely not recommended.
