22/05/2026: Really good pizza by the slice. I've been ordering them for pizza by the slice and round pizzas for years now. Every month there's a new pizza to discover. I'd say the truffle pizza is tops.

05/04/2026: my kid loves pizza as he cannot eat it very often. he swallowed a whole one in a different restaurant, only ate a slice here and said didn't like it. very thin base, not the greatest, next day not eatable :( suplies was good though. service great, but would not eat there, rather take away.

27/07/2026: I expected more... it's been years since I've been to Farina Rè. The food was mediocre. I had a tartare, a sliced ​​steak (the menu said it had truffle shavings), and a lemon sorbet. The tartare had almost no seasoning and three dots of mayonnaise on the side. Half of the sliced ​​steak was fatty (and undercooked), the truffle was a terrible truffle pâté, and the parmesan wasn't shavings, but grated. The sorbet was warm and very sweet (I've never had a warm lemon sorbet before!). As for the service, we sat down at 9:30 and they came to take our order at 10:00, and only after we'd asked the various waiters at least four times. We ordered two Cokes, which never arrived. The only positive note was the waitress with a great memory who took our order without writing it down! As for the atmosphere: we chose to eat inside because of the heat, and instead of great air conditioning, we literally died of heat... my elderly in-laws were dripping with sweat... and to top it all off, while we were still finishing our main course (we hadn't even ordered dessert yet), the waiters started clearing out the entire place (it wasn't even 11 PM). They put all the chairs on the tables, basically, as if we and other tables who were obviously late (though not through our fault, but rather due to the slowness of ordering and service) weren't even there... A REAL DISASTER! I'm truly sorry...

21/07/2026: In my humble opinion, this is the best carbonara in Rome. They cook everything beautifully—meat, fish, rustici, and pizza. The staff is friendly and very polite. I recommend booking to avoid the wait (without a reservation, there's about a 10-minute wait).

27/06/2026: We dined at this restaurant twice, on June 6th and again on June 27th, hoping the first experience was a one-off. Unfortunately, the second was even worse. Let's start with the bathrooms: on June 6th, the men's bathroom was out of order, and upon returning 21 days later, we found it in exactly the same condition. The working bathroom, however, was in terrible condition, and on both the first and second visits, there was no soap. It gives the impression that it's not even replenished. On June 6th, we were 3 adults and 2 children. The children didn't even sit at the table because they had already eaten and remained in the play area the entire evening. We ordered three set menus plus drinks, but we were still charged a €2.50 cover charge for each child, even though we hadn't used it. On June 27th, we returned: 4 adults and 2 children, same situation, with the children not occupying the table or consuming anything. We ordered four €15 pizza menus. When we received the bill, we were asked to pay €3 more per person because we had booked through TheFork and, according to the restaurant owner, "TheFork is expensive." The worst part is that, that afternoon, I had written to the restaurant asking if we would have to pay a cover charge for the set menus. I was clearly told that the cover charge only applied to those who booked through TheFork and ordered à la carte, while with the set menus we would not have to pay any extra. When we pointed out this discrepancy and complained about the lack of transparency, the restaurant owner decided to "pardon" us customers, telling us that he would "pay" the cover charge because TheFork costs him a lot. Frankly, I found this attitude unprofessional. Whether a restaurant should incur costs or commissions with TheFork is a relationship that concerns only the restaurant owner and the platform, not the customer. Prices must be clear and respected, without any surprises at the checkout. As if that weren't enough, after payment, the restaurant owner canceled my reservation on TheFork, causing me to lose my accumulated Yums, stating that "the restaurant is closed." This behavior I consider highly unfair and I hope TheFork will investigate, especially since I have the receipt proving our presence at the restaurant. Consumers should be protected from situations like this. One final note: in the space of a few weeks, the cover charge went from €2.50 to €3 per person. The only positive note of the evening goes to the staff in the dining room, who were very kind, helpful, and professional. Otherwise, a decidedly negative experience from every perspective: lack of transparency, appalling restroom conditions, and behavior from the manager that leaves no incentive to return. Shameful.

01/04/2026: The fried calamari was fantastic! They did it gluten free too. The pizza was some of the best we had in all of Italy, they are certified gluten free and made my wife her own personal gluten free pizza. Loved it!

22/06/2026: Pappamondo restaurant is highly recommended. And there's a reason, actually, several. First of all, the excellent cuisine, featuring traditional dishes and more. Then the service, fast and friendly. And finally, the icing on the cake, the atmosphere. In fact, the interior is more of a small museum of wonders than a restaurant, where you can find everything from old mannequins and telephones to typewriters. Maybe the owner has a passion for collecting? I don't know, but I found it delightful. Whenever I can, I go there with colleagues for lunch, partly because it offers an excellent, reasonably priced set menu, from which you can choose a first course, a second course, and a side dish. Alternatively, you can order à la carte. Reservations are recommended.
