09/11/2025: We stopped here on Saturday evening on our way home from the Verona Horse Fair. The owners welcomed us with kindness and friendliness. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We'll be back soon.

20/10/2025: After many years, we finally managed to taste a panissa like our grandmothers used to make, but not only that, many other traditional dishes, accompanied by good wines and the courtesy and friendliness of the owner (assisted by his mother in the dining room). Excellent value, definitely worth a try.

18/10/2025: A small but very cute place. The coffee is good. The custard-filled cannolini are delicious, filled on the spot. The rack where they hold the cannolini one by one, warm, before filling them, is quite unique. A must-try.

I come to Vercelli once a year for the match, but they've already made me want to come more often. It will definitely be my regular stop to try other dishes that inspire me. 13/09/2025: Adorable!!! And absolutely delicious food. I was on a driving from trip from Paris to Milan. An hour before reaching Milan we decided to find a place to have dinner. What good fortune that we came across this place. It’s a family operation from the cooking to the serving. Everything was delicious.

18/10/2025: Beautiful mountain venue. Excellent cuisine, tasty, varied and well prepared dishes. The service is also good. Fair price. Book well in advance as it is always full.

16/10/2025: Excellent weekday lunch, a welcoming place, excellent and affordable (€14) for the lunch menu, which includes a first course, second course, side dish, coffee, and water or a quarter of wine. Dessert +€4. Definitely a lunch to repeat!!!! Of course, the price will be different in the evening, but the quality is guaranteed. Highly recommended. Congratulations

28/09/2025: A typical mountain restaurant, an elegant restaurant in a RIGHTLY rustic setting—we're in the mountains! The food was excellent, the service very professional and fast. We ordered risotto, and it arrived in 15-20 minutes, although rice isn't quick to cook. Spectacular appetizers and a wide selection of wines, especially reds. FIVE STARS!

13/09/2025: The Barba Ferrero Refuge was a pleasant surprise, especially from its manager. A helpfulness and kindness I've never encountered in the many refuges I've visited. We only stopped for lunch, but next time we'll try to stay a night. Highly recommended.

02/11/2025: A superb culinary experience, especially recommended for rice lovers. The venue is the former restaurant of the Hotel Cinzia in Vercelli. The location is rather unassuming, with a dining room that isn't particularly modern, but the atmosphere is decidedly relaxed and ideal for a lunch or dinner for two or with a few friends. The menu is varied and interesting, but needless to say, the specialty here is risotto in all its variations, crafted and cooked with extreme skill and respect for the ingredients. The menu is truly extensive and interesting. We opted for the three-course tasting menu, which fully satisfied our appetite, but for those with a sweet tooth, there's also the seven-course menu or the option of à la carte. I recommend trying at least one of the four canned risottos, each more exquisite than the last, with a special mention for the tailored coffee and parmesan cream risotto. The service is very attentive, although not particularly fast due to the lengthy preparation times (not suitable for those in a hurry). The bill is absolutely fair and in line with the quality of the dishes offered. The small pastries served with coffee are also highly appreciated. In short, the Costardi brothers confirm their position as masters of rice, in an area where excellence is the rule.

Upon entering, you'll see all the wines on display and other products for sale, then you'll reach the dining room, which is very well-maintained and welcoming. The food was truly excellent and high-quality, and the person who looked after us was very kind and helpful. The prices were in line with the quality of the products. Highly recommend!
