Trattoria La Topia In Valduggia

On our journey from the Aosta Valley to Piedmont, we were looking for a restaurant for lunch and luckily ended up at La Topia. The restaurant in the pretty little town was quite busy during the week and outside of the holiday season. We were served immediately and warmly. There was no menu; the daily specials were presented to us at the table. We chose pasta with tomato sauce and bacon, followed by pan-fried trout fillet with braised gherkins and homemade fried potato chips. For dessert, we ordered a semifreddo with hazelnuts and amaretto, accompanied by half a liter of wonderfully fresh white wine, a bottle of water, and finally, two coffees. Everything tasted superb. The whole meal cost 40 euros. On a nice day, the outdoor seating area offers a lovely view.

I asked for a vegan menu, and it was exceptional for one friend and à la carte for the other group. We had appetizers, fantastic first courses, and homemade desserts. We couldn't eat anything else because there was so much. Mrs. Serena, the owner, was extremely kind and extremely professional in meeting our requests. The place is clean and well-equipped. I highly recommend it.

This place was recommended to us by the B&B where we were staying on Lake Orta. It couldn't have been more spot-on. We dined al fresco, overlooking the valley. We chose the tasting menu to sample the local specialties. Everything was superb and exceeded our expectations. The waitresses are extremely kind, as is the owner. It's definitely worth the extra trip and getting away from the touristy spots. The value is exceptional, and we truly hope to return.

Fabulous...the food is divine, it's an enchanting place

A very cute place, discovered by chance while looking on Google Maps, and it turned out to be a truly lovely place. The menu changes weekly, a truly excellent idea to always present high-quality, well-crafted products. We made a reservation and were able to sit on their lovely terrace, although unfortunately it was a bit chilly. The prices are fair, and a tasting menu of that quality filled us up. We'll be back as soon as we're in the area.

Piedmontese cuisine with unique local recipes. Exceptional risotto. Generous portions and excellent value. Very attentive and prompt service. Beautiful outdoor pergola, where you can dine surrounded by greenery. Very quiet area.

Even though the weather wasn't the best, it was a pleasant and welcoming place. Excellent Piedmontese food and friendly, welcoming, and cheerful staff. Private rooms are ideal for birthday parties. Parking is a bit limited, but with a little patience...
