07/05/2026: On April 25th, we went with family to celebrate my sister's boyfriend's birthday. We knew this beautiful, historic place well, being local, and we wanted to try the new management. A disaster. In 40 years of my life, I've never had anything like this happen to me with any business, much less a restaurant. We booked at 1 PM and arrived on time. The four of us ordered: 1 pizza, 1 fried dish, 1 portion of French fries, 2 appetizers, including a salad and a seafood appetizer (classic cold octopus), followed by two first courses, a plate of ravioli and a plate of linguine with squid ink, water, and white wine (which I would have enjoyed with the linguine). Given that the restaurant seats 200, and that it was a beautiful day and was busy, this should never be passed on to the customer, under any circumstances. At 1:45 PM, the fries and appetizers arrived. After a 45-minute wait, the wine in the glass was already warm. At 2:00 PM, the mixed fried dish and the pizza arrived after an hour of waiting. At 2:20 PM, the two first courses arrived after a full hour and 20 minutes of waiting, and my first course was wrong. I waited 1.20 hours for the wrong dish. moreover. I politely tell the waitress, and she embarrassedly tells me she'll let the kitchen know. Meanwhile, more time passes and it's almost 2:40 PM, so I decide, since we've been there for almost two hours with only one salad eaten, to leave. We call the waiter and tell him, given the time, to close the bill and forget about these linguine after two hours. The problem isn't that it's Saturday, April 25th; I've happened to sit at the table on days like this in my life, but I'm eating. And here's the shocking scene we experienced and that everyone witnessed: The chef (also the restaurant owner, I think) comes out, agitated, with this plate of linguine. I kindly explain to him that two hours have passed, they made a mistake in the dish they brought out after an hour and a half, we've waited two hours for a plate of pasta, and I asked the waiter to close the bill and leave. Normally, given the reason, you apologize, offer something bitter, yes. He puts a stop to it. The chef starts yelling at us in front of all the other diners and tables, screaming at high speed that he's making a fool of himself, which came out 5 minutes later. What was he supposed to do with this linguine, etc.? Not only was he completely wrong, he was making a scene in front of everyone IN HIS RESTAURANT. We very calmly explained to him that he was making a fool of himself by yelling. In short, I've never experienced a situation like this, and I've never seen it in my life. Birthday ruined. An honorable mention goes to the service and the waiters, who are very fast, but evidently the problem is the kitchen or a bad day can happen. The review isn't so much for the extreme slowness of everything, but precisely for what happened. You have 200 seats, it's April 25th, it's a Saturday, it's the restaurateur's job to organize, the customer can't be affected, and then you always have to maintain a certain amount of restraint. Such scenes are unacceptable.

13/12/2025: November '25 We've been back many times this year, and I can confirm the positive comments I made in previous years, regarding the kindness, helpfulness, and speed of service from the owner Cinzia, her daughter Martina, and the waitress Larissa. The quality and price of the weekday lunch menu and the pizza... and the excellent cooking by the owner Stefano... BRAVI 👏👏 January '22 We happened to be in Suna-Verbania, and in the large lakefront square, we were drawn to this restaurant-bar with plenty of outdoor seating and tables. In the warm afternoon sun on a very breezy winter's day in January, we had a delicious pizza margherita made in an electric oven, a glass of Arneis white wine, a decaf coffee, and a vanilla-flavored tea for a total of €11.00, served outside by a kind young woman...Larissa. We returned several times in the following months and enjoyed other delicious dishes in addition to the pizzas, shown in the added photos. The fixed-price lunch menu was €11 (now €15.00 in 2025) and included a choice of two first courses and two second courses, along with a small bottle of mineral water. Everything was very well cooked, with excellent home cooking, especially the first courses and the Abruzzo lamb arrosticini. 😋😋 Fair prices and good quality in a quiet outdoor setting with a lake view. 👍 The restrooms need improvement.

09/12/2025: Located in the central Piazza Garibaldi, directly on the lake. Excellent for an aperitif, a pizza, or a lunch menu. Friendly service; plenty of outdoor seating, both under the trees and in the sun (with an umbrella), and indoors. Very good value.

10/04/2026: A family atmosphere where courtesy reigns supreme. The pizza is good, as is the rest. We've always come with young children. Recommended

06/04/2026: Excellent restaurant for the best pizza in Verbania. The staff is incredibly friendly; you feel very welcome even as a tourist, unlike at other restaurants in town. The portions are generous. We'll definitely go back to this restaurant next time we're in Verbania!

20/09/2025: A very nice terrace on the first floor, and very friendly and charming service. The fresh pasta and fish dishes are particularly good. The portions are generous; it's hard to manage three full courses. Ideally, therefore, starters and side dishes are shared. We had the eggplant timbale and the mussels as starters, and both were very aromatic. The kitchen also prepares meat excellently. A particularly positive aspect is that many wines are available by the glass, so you can try more. We enjoyed the hospitality several times.

15/04/2026: One of the best places on Lake Maggiore! Fantastic food and top quality! The specials are something special, but read the description first. These aren't your average pizzas! 🍕 Delicious and generously topped. The service is excellent! 🤩

14/04/2026: Returned after years, finding a "colder" atmosphere, less empathy. Tiny tables with barely room for anything. Not to mention the prices: a shank with a side dish cost €22, hoping it would be veal, but in the end it was a 300g pork shank with bone and a small salad (which I asked for because otherwise they had potatoes). The shank costs about €4 per kg. The very tough pork Milanese at €19 is another rip-off. Okay, it's a place for tourists who know nothing about cooking. I understand why it was packed at noon once; lunch was good and reasonably priced. Today, only 2 couples.

18/09/2025: We had a 25 square meter room with a lake view. It was amazing. The furniture was a bit worn, but everything was super clean. We've rarely had such a clean room. We were there with our golden retriever. Breakfast was decent. The location is fantastic.

02/09/2025: Very pleasant and clean rooms ✅✅✅✅✅ with a breathtaking view. ✅✅✅ The bed was very comfortable ✅✅✅ (A small note: I would really appreciate a toilet paper holder and a shelf for shower amenities next time ;) .) Otherwise, I would highly recommend the Europalace. The staff were all very nice, extremely friendly, and accommodating. I would be happy to come back on my next visit to Lake Maggiore. 09/10/2025: Tiffany is my ideal bar... it feels like home! Quick and friendly service, always a smile for everyone, even when it's crowded. I come here often for lunch; there are many options on the ever-changing daily menu, plus other à la carte options to suit all tastes, from main courses, first courses, second courses, piadinas, salads, and sandwiches... Fair prices and very good quality. The coffee is also good! See you soon 😁

02/11/2025: A great place in Intra, on Lake Maggiore, to spend the afternoon enjoying an aperitivo with friends (€8 including a drink). They have a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, some of which are quite unique. I tried the passion fruit spritz, which was really good! Recommended.

03/04/2026: I was very disappointed with this experience. We arrived at 8:00 PM and the wait for our order was already excessive: almost an hour, and in fact, it wasn't taken until 9:00 PM. Unfortunately, the situation didn't improve, because the pizzas arrived at 10:00 PM. Slow and disorganized service, and the quality wasn't up to par. I definitely won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.
