Carl Honoré would have been happy at this restaurant; he could have added a chapter to his In Praise of Slowness. Mind you, this isn't a criticism at all: the dishes are freshly prepared, and a short wait between each one isn't a flaw. Especially since the food is excellent quality at more than reasonable prices, including wine. Their lake fish, both grilled and fried, is particularly noteworthy. A visit is highly recommended, but reservations are essential on weekends, as walk-ins are virtually impossible.

A surreal experience in an osteria that takes you back in time. Avoid it unless you have the patience to wait for the long waits of the otherwise very friendly lady. In the highly touristy setting of Verbania, it's probably not that bad. Decent first courses, a starter of homemade cured meats, supermarket rye bread, and a reasonable bill.

Simple yet effective menu, featuring local ingredients. Truly excellent value. Perfect for those looking for a homey trattoria with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Attentive service and very friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!

Very hidden away. But the food was absolutely delicious. And the price was great. Starter: macaroni with saffron, €9. It was a very generous portion. Then a fantastic fish platter for €25. And dessert, €4.50. The espresso was excellent. Simply everything. 👍👍👍

We were looking for a place for a quick lunch and found the osteria by chance while walking down a narrow street. What can I say? It's a simple, rustic, yet very welcoming place. The lady who served us was very kind and helpful. We had a delicious meal, and it was a good value. I'll definitely be back to try it more leisurely. Well done!
