We asked if they had room for four at 12:30 since we were in the area, but he informed us that the restaurant operates in shifts, so he'd wait for us at 1:30. We spent a bit of time in the beautiful surrounding village and arrived at the scheduled time. He welcomed us with a smile and seated us. Everything was fine until we asked for the workers' menu, which practically everyone in the restaurant was consuming. We were informed that this service would resume next week, and the tone took a different turn... too bad there were obviously workers at the entrance waiting to be seated... oh, and we've also attached a photo of the sign displayed at the entrance... we may have stopped by, but we don't like dishonesty.

31/08/2025: A very nice restaurant with good pizza and a great atmosphere. The service was very friendly, and we easily got a nice table in the winter garden without a reservation. The food came quickly and was really good. We eat a lot of pizza quite often, but the one from Pizzeria Rio was definitely one of the best we've ever had. The delicious base and the high-quality, fresh toppings are particularly noteworthy. The wine that accompanied it was also very tasty. Definitely worth a visit; we'll definitely come back on our next visit to Verona.

18/08/2025: I do not recommend it at all — avoid it. The “risotto” was not risotto at all and absolutely worthless. On top of that, they charge €2 PER PERSON for coperto/service. €5 a bottle of water!!! This place is a complete tourist TRAP, NOT AUTHENTIC Italian food.

17/08/2025: The restaurant doesn't have a nice interior; everything is covered in various, dirty decorative items. The service is extremely poor and uncoordinated. We were served by several waiters. The bottle of water we ordered had to be ordered a second time. Then the wrong size arrived. We ordered penne pomodoro and a vegetarian calzone. The food arrived quickly. However, a calzone with ham arrived, which I had to return. There was no apology. On the second attempt, the waiter specifically asked what I wanted in the vegetarian calzone and wrote it down. Instead of onions, tomatoes, and olives, they served a version with zucchini, eggplant, and onions. There was no tomato sauce at all and no seasoning. I didn't return it. It tasted dry and bland. The penne with tomato sauce was good. The bill took a long time to arrive.

06/07/2025: We took a lobster pasta to eat as a couple, which arrives at the table in the cooking pot covered with pizza dough that can then be used to collect the sauce at the end or as an accompaniment. What can I say, excellent quality and also the portion.

05/07/2025: Very nice place, very well kept and furnished with various references to the sea. Cuisine mainly based on fish and pizza. Very polite and attentive staff, refined and very tasty dishes! Congratulations indeed! It was a pleasure to dine with them!

I was so pleased to have pleasantly surprised my guests with the excellent cuisine and the quality of the catch. Even today, more than 15 years later, they still remember the wonderful culinary experience at this historic restaurant. I want to return as soon as possible.

29/07/2025: The pasta was very good, and the tiramisu we had for dessert was excellent. Attentive staff and fast service. It's not cheap, with pasta costing around 20 euros. The price/quality ratio isn't bad.

11/07/2025: Business dinner. Very refined atmosphere with a garden and pool. Unfortunately, we dined inside because there was a baptism outside. The food was average, but the wine list was good. Nothing exceptional, but everything was good.

06/07/2025: I was with my partner on Saturday night for a birthday. I'll start by saying that the staff was very professional and helpful, a very good distinguished gentleman served us. The location was very beautiful, well-kept and well-maintained. Now let's get to the sore point, the food, I understand that they want to create a niche place where for €28 they give you maybe not even 50g of fish or meat but there is a limit. The portions are really tiny. We had the meat menu where they served: fried egg, gnocchi, risotto with asparagus and the only dish with meat was the tagliata (literally 3 slices 3cmx3). The gnocchi were cooked well, the risotto was hard (very al dente) and the meat only tasted of olives (it was in a taggiasca olive stew) and the baked potatoes were missing (provided for by the menu). My partner had the fish menu and the portions were really tiny (I'm attaching a photo). Unfortunately we were disappointed, we won't be back, too bad.
