18/11/2025: My dad and I went to this restaurant on a November afternoon. All the other restaurants in the area were closed due to the off-season, so we decided to try this one, simply because it was open. We travel frequently and have tried many different restaurants and cuisines, and this is honestly one of the worst we've ever been to. The man working there insisted the food was fresh, as if we couldn't tell the difference. Everything was completely bland. The raw salmon tasted like it had been defrosted after sitting in the freezer for too long. No amount of salt or pepper could cover the unmistakable aftertaste of low-quality ingredients. They even said they would close for the season in a few days and were out of stock on most of the menu items—so it's no surprise they weren't investing in fresh ingredients for their final days of opening. Every single thing we ordered ranged from unpalatable to completely flavorless to bitter. But nothing was as bitter as the waiter's attitude. He was incredibly rude. When we went to pay, he handed us the bill without even looking at us—no words, no glances, not even the slightest gesture of kindness or respect. A truly cheerful guy who definitely enhanced the experience. Don't set foot in this place unless your standards are really, really low.

10/10/2025: Best pizza in Malcesine! I had the mascarpone e crudo pizza! It was fantastically good and huge! The service was very friendly. I'm still dreaming about this pizza and looking forward to my next visit.

07/10/2025: Pizza was not good at all. Traveled through Italy and here Pizza was the worst. It's difficult to call pizza even.

05/10/2025: We were a Saturday evening walk in and had clam pasta and romano pizza. Good service and atmosphere

02/08/2025: Perfect location with a view. Delicate dishes and very cosy setting. Good wine also: pinot Grigio. Would surely come back !

30/07/2025: Porzioni minuscole e prezzi esorbitanti! Siamo andati via affamati. Come antipasto ci hanno servito due capesante e tre canestrelli, il tutto a 22 euro — e con la sabbia! I primi: spaghetti alle vongole, forse meno di 80 grammi di pasta. Esperienza deludente, assolutamente non consigliato

25/10/2025: The location is beautiful, the service is good, as Borghese would say, but the food is a bit limited in quantity. It was Saturday and they were offering a fixed price. It's definitely different in the evenings with live music or karaoke, a beer garden, and a throng of young people.

11/10/2025: Highly recommended. Beautiful place. It feels like entering a small village. The atmosphere is relaxed. The staff is friendly and helpful.

14/10/2025: We wanted to have dinner there yesterday around 6:10 p.m. The restaurant was just opening. Unfortunately, a not-so-motivated employee told us that we couldn't get in without a reservation. The reason for this wasn't clear, so we went somewhere else to eat. About an hour and a half later, we walked past again, and there were only a few seats occupied. Apparently, they don't feel the need to serve guests without reservations. What a shame! (Unfortunately, you can only post this information if you give a star)

23/08/2025: I went on Monday, August 18th, so it wasn't a great evening given the time of year. They obviously didn't have lobster or eel, which is a good sign (meaning) they work with fresh fish, but otherwise, it wasn't the best. A very positive aspect is the à la carte service, rather than the all-you-can-eat option. I'll be back to try the lobster (made to order).

13/03/2026: I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I went with my boyfriend. The dining room smelled of fish. The kitchen door was probably open, and all the odors were coming out. If I were to base my judgment on quantity and value, I'd give it one star. They probably weren't prepared for us. The menu doesn't include side dishes, so the only vegetables were the unseasoned salad from the bag, accompanied by polenta made at the last minute, which was very runny and had an unpleasant flavor. We ate bread and oil, which was certainly not lacking.

27/12/2025: The food, as always, is good and carefully prepared. Only, at Christmas we were a bit disappointed: lots of small portions, bites and samples, not much fish, and a lot of bread and wine. The quality is there, but the meal lacked the structure and substance we're used to. We hope you'll make up for it next time!

05/03/2026: Cappuccino and brioche 🥐 €7 at the counter, we're in one of the most beautiful squares in the world in a historic café. I think the brioche is the best I've ever eaten. At the service station you don't spend much less eating the frozen ones.

25/02/2026: Hot chocolate was good but classic (it wasn't thick), traditional decor, but minimal service: no explanation or smile, drinks were placed on the serving tray which was left on the table... for 4 times less the price, you can get a chocolate at the bar!

29/12/2025: We sat inside the restaurant because of the time of year; there are also several tables facing the street. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. The service was friendly, perhaps a little too attentive. We had spaghetti with seafood (very good), spaghetti with sea bass, bruschetta, and a mixed salad. A liter of wine and water came to about €80. The price was perfectly fair!

11/10/2025: Very good food. Very nice and friendly service. We'd love to come back here again and can only warmly recommend it.

21/06/2025: Location molto deludente e ci sono tantissimi moscerini. Si mangia da dio!! É tutto buono!! I gelati non buoni soprattutto il sorbetto che é amaro!!!!

13/06/2025: This is the kind of restaurant where the locals eat. It appeared the staff knew their diners and treated all guests respectfully. It was recommended to us by numerous locals for its truly great Italian food. We walked in when it opened and it was full within a half of an hour. It's off the beaten path in an alley but well worth it. The food was fantastic and the service was great.

07/09/2025: We've been to Bibione over 25 times now... For us, there are actually only three restaurants! Da Renzo is definitely one of them! Service is great! Prices are very reasonable! The quality of the food is consistently very good! Highly recommended!

04/09/2025: Child-friendly - off-limits. Children aren't allowed to touch anything. My son touched a chain, which caused a stall sign to wobble. It didn't fall over or break. The owner screamed loudly and stood up. She started cursing in Italian. We elves should watch our children and not let them run around. This woman's behavior is incredibly disgusting. Disgusting. To jog the unfriendly lady's memory! We weren't even waiting in her restaurant. We were still standing in front of a CHEAP stop sign, whose chain my child touched. And that's why this cheap sign wobbled. Nothing happened at all! This unfriendly and incompetent lady simply felt disturbed while she was eating. WE WERE NEVER IN THE RESTAURANT! The unfriendly lady's screaming had already taken place outside the restaurant (entrance). Perhaps you should change your own meal times or opening hours. And please stick to the truth and avoid writing lies. Thank you!

01/03/2026: One of the few restaurants run by Italians in Venice. They offer an à la carte menu and a set menu, which we ordered for €18 each. The dishes are well-cooked, and the owners are very friendly. It's just a few minutes' walk from St. Mark's Square.

08/02/2026: We went on the recommendation of the Marina guidebook. It's a bar where gondoliers, tour guides, and other locals eat. It has a very homey atmosphere, so you don't feel out of place. We went two days and ordered the set menu. It includes a starter, first and second courses, potatoes and salad, dessert, and a small glass of wine. Drinks and coffee are extra. We ordered spaghetti with clams and seafood rice as starters, and fried fish for our main courses. Everything is very good, but the portions are a bit small. Keep in mind that it's very well located, and you pay for that. The owner speaks Spanish, which makes things much easier.

03/01/2026: We were there last night. The manager was very kind and attentive. He gave us good advice, and we were very satisfied. Good value for money.

08/10/2025: The last and only true trattoria left in the local valleys. Local dishes and a friendly and imaginative host.
