When we have the opportunity to celebrate important moments, we come to the "Vittoria" restaurant because the food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is welcoming. Thank you, Roberto.

If you're looking for a restaurant in Venice that doesn't feel like a tourist trap, but rather offers authentic Venetian cuisine, Trattoria Vittoria da Aldo is the perfect choice. From the moment you arrive, you realize: this isn't about showmanship, but about quality, tradition, and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.
The menu is exactly what you'd expect from a true trattoria: concise, clear, and typically Venetian – focusing on fresh fish, seafood, classic pasta dishes, and hearty main courses. You can tell the kitchen knows what it's doing: no overloaded plates, no unnecessary frills – just clean flavors, good ingredients, and a harmonious overall presentation.
I was particularly impressed by how well-balanced the dishes were: robust, but not heavy; aromatic, but not over-seasoned. This is precisely that Italian style where the ingredients take center stage. Even if you order "just" a classic dish, you'll receive something crafted with care and attention to detail. Everything feels fresh, well-coordinated, and above all: simply delicious.
Another highlight is the wine selection – exactly what you'd want to drink in Venice, perfectly paired with the cuisine. Whether a glass of white wine with fish or a red to accompany a more robust dish, the recommendations are spot on, and it's a pleasure to savor the experience.
The service completes the picture perfectly: friendly, attentive, and pleasantly relaxed. No forced smiles, just genuine hospitality. Orders are taken promptly, questions are readily answered, and you feel truly welcome. The pace is also just right: not hectic, but not a long wait either. It's the perfect balance for a wonderful meal in Venice.
In short: excellent food, authentically Venetian, with a harmonious ambiance and solid, friendly service. For me, it's a place I'll fondly remember – and one I'll definitely book again on my next visit to Venice.

This restaurant, recommended by locals, was absolutely amazing. It's probably the best restaurant in the area, completely on a different level from the surrounding "tourist restaurants."

Expensive for what it is. Average quality, but expensive even for Venice. Service not included.

We got to experience this wonderful family owned trattoria in June of 2024. Talking about making you feel at home, toward the end of the meal the son brought out his favorite wine after we had had discussions. Then at the end before we were leaving, nona came out with her favorite bottle of wine and dessert!! What a wonderful evening and we cannot wait to visit again this May !!

Good, attentive, and discreet service, average dishes, but the Vicenza-style cod and the carefully cooked and presented vegetables are interesting.

It wasn't easy to find a restaurant in Venice run by locals, with local staff, without the usual seedy "bouncers" of the worst ilk, and also boasting extreme quality and refinement in both the food and the atmosphere, despite a very family-friendly setting.
Thanks to my friend Dario, who recommended it to me, I found all this at Trattoria Vittoria da Aldo, which, among other things, has the added advantage of being easily accessible on foot from Santa Lucia station, just a few dozen meters away, exiting on the left, without having to cross bridges or take a vaporetto.
Without further ado, the dishes were rich and of the highest quality, the waiter was kind and helpful, both in explaining the various dishes and even the cost of wines and grappas (which, incidentally, I hadn't asked for), the atmosphere was informal yet refined, frequented by locals and few tourists, and this is an added plus.
Without shouting, but with a smile, and with desserts prepared by the lady, they are definitely worth trying!
The price is reasonable for what's on offer and not excessive.
Vittoria da Aldo is another small Venetian landmark worth visiting, in addition to San Marco, and definitely worth adding to your tourist guide.
