12/05/2026: I had the grilled salmon trout with boiled potatoes here. The fish was very good, but unfortunately I didn't like the potatoes so much; they were a bit hard. The service was adequate.

05/06/2026: Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food overall. The steak I ordered was very tough and chewy, and the quality of the meat didn't meet my expectations for a good steak. However, I would like to commend the way the complaint was handled. After I spoke to the waiter, the owner himself came over, showed understanding, apologized, and readily offered me an alternative dish. The chicken I received afterward was better.

06/04/2026: Where you least expect it, you'll find a very charming little seafood restaurant. The atmosphere is refined. The staff is friendly and helpful. The wait times are reasonable. The food is delicious, and the fish is absolutely fresh. We'll be back.

25/02/2026: This is a place you have to go eat when you haven't eaten in three days...super generous portions, nice place, the counter at the entrance is an ancient ship, a galleon, with cannons protruding from the sides. Everything was good, the service was fast, and the staff was kind and welcoming. N.B.: We only had a first course, and that was enough for us.

22/10/2025: I was there with my family a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by the warm yet professional welcome. The atmosphere was comfortable and spotlessly clean! We wanted to try some gourmet pizzas... they were simply fantastic, not to mention the dough: light, crispy, and leavened for over 80 hours, making the pizzas unique. The ingredients are carefully selected and top-quality. However, seeing the amazing and inviting pasta dishes coming out of the kitchen, I'll be curious to try them next time! Finally, the place also has a kids' area! What can I say... Pizzeria da Max HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you're not looking for the usual restaurant but are looking for good cuisine with true and authentic flavors! 🔝😋👍

01/05/2026: Excellent food quality and a stunning location. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par: we had to repeat our orders several times, and at the cashier we were charged for items I'd clearly stated we didn't want to pay. The service definitely needs work. Otherwise, I recommend the place.

20/11/2025: incredible! if you need a spot for lunch while visiting Burano this is the place. we had the calabrese pizza and it was one of the best things we ate in italy. truly a perfect pizza. we also had a bottle of rosé and it was wonderful. staff was very kind as well. could not recommend it enough!

15/05/2026: Despite a terrace with a lovely view of a calm canal and gondolas, the portions are disappointing for the price; expect a €4 cover charge and a 12% service charge. The spaghetti vongole were good, as were the tagliatelle with ragù, but the portion was child's size for over €20. The tiramisu was nothing special and had been prepared in advance in small bowls in the fridge. The waiters, however, were very helpful.

17/06/2026: Beware of rip-offs! All in all, incredibly disappointing. Some tables get bread right away, others simply don't. Despite arriving quite early (with a toddler), we were served reluctantly. The appetizer arrived, but the main course was simply forgotten in the kitchen. After more than an hour, we asked about it and finally received it. The rosemary potatoes, unfortunately, came without rosemary. Our drinks were also empty for almost an hour, and we weren't asked if we wanted anything more. When we tried to pay immediately after the main course, we were laughed at (?!?) and then came the kicker. The "boss" showed us the total of the bill on his phone: €106. We paid and left. We then recalculated, returned, and demanded to see the bill from the actual boss. After a long search, we found only one for €101, which was shown to us, and we were simply handed €5. Apparently, this is the usual tactic here to "earn" a bit more in tips. Absolutely outrageous to simply enter a different amount into a phone and pass it off as the correct price! PS: Only a few tables are ever offered a grappa/limoncello/espresso at the end. It probably just depends on who likes you. 😂

10/06/2026: Disappointment. The four of us, including a baby, went there for lunch because of the rain. The food was consistently disappointing. The sardines were half-cooked, half-grilled – overall, bad. The pizzas were bad, with canned mushrooms. The service was very poor – inattentive and unenthusiastic. An employee went to the restroom before me and left without washing his hands. We also didn't receive a bill; we only saw it on a phone screen.

01/06/2026: Found by chance, it turned out to be a delightful discovery! Intimate and traditional atmosphere, super-fresh food, typical ciosette dishes, and friendly, helpful staff! Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

10/05/2026: Wandering through the streets of Chioggia, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant. We were immediately greeted warmly and the service was excellent, but what compels me to write a review is that I enjoyed the food very much: fresh, well-prepared fish. I'm satisfied and highly recommend it.

03/05/2026: We went for dinner, ate a first course and two second courses. Prices were in line with the market. The portions were generous. The quality could be improved; the first course (bigoli with white ragù) was good, while the braised beef in Amarone sauce was decent. The service was a bit disorganized; they brought our dishes before the drinks, and then brought them to us incorrectly twice. The atmosphere was quiet and informal.

18/04/2026: I've been coming to La Lanterna for many years. The service is always quick and impeccable. Good pizzas, and the green pepper fillet is excellent. But times change. Last night we ordered a seafood salad with Ascoli olives, buttered spinach, and grilled salmon. Tens of minutes pass, and only the seafood and spinach salad arrives. I ask for the Ascoli olives, but still nothing. I ask again, and they finally arrive, saying they'd lost my order. Meanwhile, I'm getting tired of waiting and losing my appetite for the salmon. I ask, and they tell me they'd lost my order again, this time for the salmon, which I ask them to cancel. I ask for the bill, and what does the waitress do? She brings the bill to my girlfriend instead of me! The service is terrible and makes me lose the desire to eat out. A restaurant in a beautiful location, but it's completely ruined. I recommend trying other restaurants around there; there are plenty.

16/04/2026: I've been getting takeout pizza every week from this restaurant for a couple of years now. In my opinion, it's one of the best in the city center. I've also had the opportunity to eat at the outdoor tables, and the view of the square is beautiful. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and polite. You can tell the owners care deeply about their restaurant, and this is reflected in the staff, who are always impeccable. Recommended for lunch or dinner in the center of Padua!
