A lovely, lovely place to eat. Great Lake views even if not by the window (book at least 3 days in advance for a window seat - thank me later). The food is full of flavour, and the ribs were absolutely delicious – a real highlight of the meal.
I had my heart set on lasagna, which unfortunately wasn’t available, but the alternative we chose (not the seafood pasta, but the closest option to it) was still very tasty and satisfying.
One of the standout touches is their “fortress bread” concept, inspired by what military soldiers ate in the 1800s, complete with a little bit of history alongside it. That combination of food and storytelling really hits the sweet spot when you’re on holiday.
If there’s one improvement to suggest, it would be to offer butter alongside olive oil. It may not be traditionally Italian, but many international visitors – particularly from the UK and the US – would appreciate having the choice.
Overall, a memorable dining experience in a beautiful setting.

On Easter Monday, we had excellent food. Efficient service and reasonable wait times. The waiter, Andrea, was excellent and friendly. Highly recommended.

I can't comment on the food, we just wanted drinks.
We waited 20 minutes for a damn glass of wine in an empty restaurant. When we tried to ask if there was an event that evening and if they were busy, we were brushed off with "the season starts soon, we're always busy." The waiter slammed the wine down on our glasses, and there were still water droplets on them. The wine was too cold and only warmed up and became palatable over time. The waiter didn't say a word about it, nothing.
Because of the long wait, a bowl of chips was wheeled onto the table.
There was one note, though, that they didn't accept cash.
The view, the ambiance, and the seating itself are fantastic.

The restaurant in Lugano absolutely won us over. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the freshly prepared pasta, which was a real highlight. We were served homemade bread beforehand, baked fresh every morning – simply divine.
The location is also unique: you sit just three meters from the water and enjoy a wonderful atmosphere. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly.
The value for money is also excellent. Highly recommended overall – we'll definitely be back!

We ate here with our class, almost 50 people in total. The food was very good and tasted great. The appetizer was just about enough, but the main course with the homemade fries was excellent. The service was very attentive and discreetly working in the background. The atmosphere was lovely, cozy, and pleasant.
I would definitely eat here again; I highly recommend it.

Our school group (54 people) had a thoroughly enjoyable and truly special experience at Il Vecchio Molino.
Everything went very smoothly from the start: We were able to coordinate the menu together in a pleasant conversation – flexible, uncomplicated, and perfectly tailored to our group. A huge plus, especially for a school group.
The food itself was more than convincing: a generous menu with a primo, secundo, and a really delicious dessert. The vegetarian dishes weren't just "okay," but wholesome and very well thought out. Overall, the portions were very generous and of excellent quality, with drinks included.
The service was consistently attentive, friendly, and professional – just the right mix for a larger group.
Especially convenient: We simply walked over from Camping Bella Italia – a short, relaxing stroll.
Add to that the wonderful view over Lake Garda – this makes the visit special not only for the food but also for the atmosphere.
For school groups, the restaurant is highly recommended by prior arrangement – however, it's advisable to inquire well in advance, as securing a table for larger groups during peak season can be challenging.
And a small detail: Even our traveling companion, a fox, seemed perfectly at ease – despite the alligator on the shelf.
In conclusion: Superbly organized, excellent food, a fantastic location, and an experience the entire class will remember.

Lunch with my wife
The restaurant is in a great location and is also very beautiful on the lakeside, with plenty of seating inside.
The restaurant offers the same food and is identical to Rafilu' in the center of Peschiera (same owner). The concept could change a little.
The food is good and the prices are fairly fair, but it could improve a bit. I had a good time, but stop by if you have the chance.
One piece of advice, though:
The vegan second course (cauliflower steak with pumpkin cream) isn't a vegan second course; it's lacking in protein... replace the pumpkin cream with any hummus you like or a cream soup of any legume... otherwise, as it is, there's no point in calling it a second course. (The name is better: baked cauliflower.)
The scalatielli taste good, the sauce is good... but you need to get better mussels, otherwise if they're not good quality they'll taste awful... add some large shrimp tails...
These are just suggestions, but the food is good.
The service is a bit chaotic; some are good, but some are very inexperienced... but it was one of the first days of opening.

Despite the gloomy day, even without the beautiful direct sunlight, this room manages to convey all the beauty of spring with its colors.
Excellent service; the waiters, besides being very elegant and refined, are also meticulously attentive to detail.
The menus, both fish and meat, are very tempting.
The food is beyond words.
Fragrant, flavorful, with interesting combinations and witty decoration ideas.
The prices are almost unexpected considering the quality offered and the location, which directly overlooks the lake.
What more can I say? Thank you for this wonderful experience!
