25/08/2025: Goliardico ritrovo livornese situato in pieno centro a pochi passi dal Duomo. Nato dalla volontà di due ragazzi di far rivivere i vecchi fasti del locale del nonno, il mitico "Da Giovanni" ! La Barrocciaia è conosciuta da tutti i livornesi per i suoi rinomati panini e per l'atmosfera amichevole e informale che vi si respira. Ideale anche a cena, con i suoi tavolini all'aperto sulla piazza del mercato.

22/07/2025: Situato a Porto Azzurro, questo locale è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Il personale è cordiale e estremamente competente, sempre pronto a spiegare ogni dettaglio del menù e delle preparazioni. Il cibo è fresco e di ottima qualità, con un’attenzione particolare alla presentazione. La selezione di caffè è molto variegata. Sebbene non abbiamo provato i crudi, sembra essere una scelta consigliata. Un piccolo suggerimento sarebbe quello di migliorare la carta dei vini, che, pur offrendo un’ampia gamma di bollicine, potrebbe beneficiare di una selezione più ricca di vini bianchi.
19/07/2025: Abbiamo prenotato senza conoscere nulla del locale e siamo rimasti colpiti finalmente sia della qualità che della professionalità . Menù variegato con buona scelta sia di pietanze che di bevande. Prodotti di primissima qualità, ben elaborati e ben presentati. Personale professionale e preparato . Siamo stati ben accolti e coccolati durante tutta la serata. Ambiente accogliente . Giusto rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Più che consigliato.

23/08/2025: We sought shelter from a storm while we were on the beach, and were rudely told we couldn't sit down because we were only having ice cream/coffee, and we were even accused of obscuring the ice cream display case.
I didn't know it was a crime.
Long live hospitality.
22/08/2025: The location, overlooking the sea, is enchanting. The service is simple and family-friendly. The dishes we enjoyed were truly exquisite, including the sesame-crusted tuna of exquisite flavor. It's a shame that my dinner was disturbed by a family of foreigners who had arrived before us, and many others who weren't served their food.
I took the liberty of mentioning my inconvenience to the waitress, who replied that I shouldn't have been doing their job.
Granted, you never respond to a customer like that, I found this attitude highly unprofessional. (If there had been a delay in the kitchen, which is understandable given the time of year, they could have shortened the wait with a few pizza or focaccia specials, which has happened to me several times.)
We paid the right amount, and despite what happened, I recommend it.

21/08/2025: We ate at this restaurant one of the evenings we were on vacation. The location was nice and the food was excellent. It was a rainy day, and the same girl who had taken the reservation that morning had confirmed it, telling us that we would be either on the veranda or inside! When we arrived at the reservation time, we immediately noticed a lack of friendliness, with one of the staff being particularly rude to the customers. We were on the veranda, and at a certain point it started pouring with rain. They took all the necessary precautions, but the table still got flooded and we couldn't even finish our meal! After waiting about ten minutes, we asked for more suitable seating since we couldn't eat or have a peaceful evening. The same arrogant waiter, at 8:25 pm, asked us if we still wanted to eat after not even finishing our dish (we had been sitting for about 20 minutes). The rain can't be controlled, and rightfully so. I can't control it, and you, the owner, can't control it, but I think the friendliness of a restaurant is the foundation of the service you provide. It should have been him/her who said, "Do you want to move to a more suitable spot inside?"/"Can I have your dish remade?"—a truly unfriendly and unkind attitude.
It's a shame, because the food was truly excellent.
This was our experience. That doesn't mean it's a bad restaurant; it's just my personal opinion and the service we received.
17/08/2025: The food was good, the tuna steak was nothing short of fabulous, but it was a shame there was a mix-up when we booked and we only got one first course instead of two.

03/08/2025: This restaurant serves very delicious plates of seafood. Antipasti and primi piatti (we did not try the secondi's) are absolutely of a sensational taste. I can highly recommend it to everyone who loves seafood.

24/04/2025: Op basis van de commentaren gekomen niet teleurgesteld . Het meisje van de bediening werkte haar eerste dag maar deed het heel goed en was supervriendelijk . Eerst antipasto czldo di mare en cozze alla marinara , daarna orecchietti alla pescatora en spaghetti alle vongole , daarna een gedeelde suggestie ( vongole , cozze , vis in een heerlijke saus ) . Afgesloten met een amaro van het eiland . Een echte aanrader en absoluut waar voor een zeer democratische prijs . Een aanrader !

02/08/2025: After an excellent dinner last night, we decided to have seconds. A bigger mistake could not have been made. The service was slow and sloppy, the dishes arrived very late and, more importantly, the portions were smaller than the previous time, with the excuse that they had run out of fish. It was a shame that the prices were full, and neither a discount nor an apology was mentioned. When we asked for something more, the answer was that the kitchen was closed, and at most they could make boiled potatoes. The photos show the difference between yesterday's and tonight's caciucco.
19/07/2025: Very simple and quiet place. Excellent food quality! Very kind and helpful staff. I tried the tagliatelle with red mullet, it was truly delicious! I'll be back!

21/08/2025: I found myself at this bar today for an aperitif. I bought a glass of white wine (which tasted fine), but the problem was that for the amount of liquid (which barely reached the bottom of the glass), I paid a whopping €7 (I should point out that the wine request was a general one, not a specific wine whose price could have been higher for obvious quality reasons), plus a small bowl of crisps that looked like they were at least two days old, to be shared between four people.
The people with me had simple drinks for the modest sum of €10 each, drinks whose composition was very simple, but here too the problem arose when, while waiting for the glass at the table, the bartender poured the spirit into the glass with ice (which obviously melted) and tonic water next to it (which the customer served themselves) for a good five minutes, resulting in a watered-down drink.
20/08/2025: A simple yet well-kept and clean location, with friendly and competent staff. The dishes are masterfully presented, but it doesn't stop there: the quality of the ingredients is excellent, the interpretation rigorous and creative. The result is mouth-watering! Well done, truly well done. I haven't tasted such a delicious tuna in seven years (Carloforte, Sardinia). Finally, it's beachfront in a charming and breezy cove. Free parking is 20 meters away.

14/06/2025: Facciamo sempre tappa a Marciana e questa volta abbiamo dato fiducia al Bar del Circolo.Fiducia ben riposta, Giuseppe riesce ad offrire con simpatia e professionalità molto di più di quello che ci si potrebbe aspettare in un Bar. Pizza molto buona , un cous cous cotto nel limone gradevolissimo e adatto alla stagione, crostoni e bruschette appetitose . Il piccolo cortile è fresco e suggestivo

20/07/2025: We discovered it by chance and had a great time. It's a typical Livorno trattoria that I found to be frequented not only by Livorno residents but also by many foreign tourists. The grouper ravioli were excellent and very well seasoned. The seafood carbonara was good. The padellata was also good. The punch was also remarkable and I really enjoyed the amaro offered. See you soon.

18/08/2025: Everything was good... Honestly, nothing as extraordinary as I'd been told. People probably eat so badly at home that they then get excited about the good food, but everything was of high quality.

I had the great pleasure of dining at this fish restaurant – and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! From the moment you enter, you are warmly welcomed and immediately feel at home. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional, without being intrusive.
The highlight, of course, was the food: Every single course was excellently prepared – fresh, subtly seasoned, and presented with attention to detail. The grilled sea bass was particularly recommended – perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and a wonderfully aromatic lemon and herb oil. The side dishes were also creative and harmoniously matched.
The wine selection perfectly complemented the culinary experience, and the dessert – a homemade lemon sorbet – was also a crowning finale.
The quality of the ingredients, the harmonious ambiance, and the passion with which they work here make this restaurant a true insider tip for fish lovers. I will definitely be back – I highly recommend it!

We ate at the establishment's bar. Good food. Excellent fresh fruit.

12/08/2025: The authenticity of a place, and therefore the preservation of the original "vintage" style—which I personally consider an absolutely admirable choice—does not, however, justify the lack of functionality of the spaces, nor the lack of comfort that a contemporary structure must necessarily guarantee.
The bathrooms are practically unusable.
The dinner was excellent.
