12/11/2025: Old trattoria in Livorno, evidently historic, we had a caciucco, a fried fish and fried vegetables, the caciucco was very abundant and full of fish, perhaps a little too much tomato, but since I'm not an expert on caciucco it's probably like that, the fried fish was a little sparse, the fried vegetables were good. Average price, the place is quite old, the staff were courteous.

17/10/2025: Beautiful venue, a perfectly coordinated mix of rustic and modern styles, very clean and bright.
The menu offers a variety of dishes, ensuring you always have fresh, top-quality ingredients.
The wine list offers a wide selection, including excellent wines.
The wait staff is very kind, qualified, friendly, and polite.
The kitchen staff is truly excellent; the chef masterfully cooked the various types of fish for the caciucco, revisiting it and making it less "rough" than the traditional caciucco, displaying great inventiveness and skill.
The ultimate end to the meal is dessert... ask for the truffles (no spoilers). I can only tell you that they will end your dinner in the sweetest way possible, but be careful, they're incredibly addictive once eaten.
I ate well and spent the right amount.
I highly recommend them.

Personale simpatico e attento, forse un po’ lento il servizio ma in piena stagione ci sta.
Parecchie scelte vegetariane e vegane. Altre della tradizione.
Personalmente non mi ha fatto dire “wow” ma sicuramente da segnare fra i posti belli.

28/09/2025: The pizza tastes excellent! The staff is friendly and attentive. Reservations are recommended on weekends. There is no on-site parking, but there is a paid parking lot about 50 meters away and a free one about 200 meters away.

10/10/2025: What can I say? The chef, with whom we personally reserved a table yesterday, has learned his craft. The "fish soup" is top-notch. The tomato sauce "soup" has a truly perfect balance between the acidity of the tomatoes and the sugar, which brings them to life. Simply brilliant. Mama Sita, in a nutshell. It couldn't be better. It was just as delicious from bite to bite as you couldn't achieve it yourself.
The recommended wine complemented the taste experience positively. We had the soup for one person and shared it because we wanted a second dish. We had the homemade ravioli. That was the crowning glory. The homemade sauce, too, was a gourmet's dream. A Michelin-starred restaurant could add this chef to its menu once a month. Provided the best fresh produce is used. He buys fresh produce every morning, as he told me. So make a reservation and enjoy—it's worth every cent.
And to top it all off, there was a lemon sorbet. For the lady at the table, it's normal, and for me, it's vodka and a cafe doppio. Unfortunately, it's not in the picture.

Attenzione ai dettagli, cortesia, un calice di vermentino locale ed un’orata pescata all’acqua pazza…

02/04/2025: Ristorante sito in spiaggia con veranda vetrata dove puoi goderti la vista mare...servizio ai tavoli gentile....preso frittura mista di Santa Lucia ed una grigliata mista di grande qualità , il tutto bagnato da due calici di Vermentino.
Prezzo onesto, da ritornare!!!

26/10/2025: At Michele's restaurant, everything is in its place, and even my dog, who arrived unannounced, found a friendly place.
I had a mouth-watering fried juvenile fish platter, followed by a homemade taglierini pasta with amberjack and bottarga. The stuffed zucchini flowers and the grouper steak were also beautiful.
A chestnut flan with goat's ricotta mousse rounded out the evening.
The price is in line with the food and service. Would you want to spend 50-60 for a dinner like this if a pizzeria costs at least 25?
Highly recommended.
21/09/2025: Impeccable service, clean atmosphere, and consistently top-notch food and wine list.
From appetizers to dessert, this place never disappoints.
I should add that we have a celiac in my family, but they are attentive and knowledgeable both in the kitchen and in the dining room.
Highly recommended!

20/07/2025: Se vuoi mangiare dell’ottimo pesce, ma non vuoi andare al ristorante, perché anche da casa mentre mangi si vede il mare, se non vuoi cucinare mentre sei in vacanza a Capoliveri e dintorni… questa gastronomia di pesce fa al caso tuo. Nelle ultime vacanze abbiamo provato praticamente tutto il menù e per gusto personale faccio fatica a scegliere un preferito…forse il risotto di mare, forse le cozze, forse i totani ripieni o forse i calamari alla diavola o forse ancora il polpo alla Luciana. Grazie alla gentilezza dei titolari per la disponibilità e l’ironia elbana! Da provare! Se non trovate posto per la macchina pazientate…l’attesa vale il piatto!

01/11/2025: Exceptional seafood.
My wife, mother-in-law, and I had the pici with cuttlefish and truffle, mixed antipasto, and caciucco (fish stew).
The cod and anchovies were phenomenal; the mussels tasted like the sea.
The cod was simply sublime.
The caciucco was exceptional.
I was truly satisfied. I will definitely return. Highly recommended.
29/10/2025: As a family of three, we finally found the Cantina after a long search and enjoyed lemon ravioli with squid, Tuscan-style cod, salt cod, and lemon chicken. Highly recommended.

30/07/2025: A terrible evening (unfortunately, in almost every way).
Three friends and I booked dinner at this restaurant in Cecina, known for its renowned pinsa al metro.
Before moving on to the many negatives, I can confirm that the product is high-quality, digestible, and very good.
However... the "buts" are too many, too serious, and they'll make me never return.
First, when booking, I made sure to ask if there was air conditioning, and to my great disappointment, I found the place rather stuffy (light air conditioning, almost nonexistent).
That said, they seat us, and the waitress shows up to take our order only 15 minutes later (imagine 15 minutes in 35°C weather without even a glass of water).
We order a total of 3.5 meters of pinsa, of which 1 meter is reserved exclusively for one of the lactose-intolerant diners. I make sure to ask that he arrive at the same time (or before) the first pizzas, as otherwise he wouldn't have been able to "taste" a slice of ours.
Of course, his pizza arrives, not only 45 minutes after the others, but one side of it has mozzarella.
That should be enough, right?
And instead, the beer (14 euros for Menabrea) is presented in a very sad carafe and clearly and heavily watered down: undrinkable.
Finally, when it was time for coffee, the waitress decided to bring not 4 (as requested), but only 1. The other 3 arrived only after another 10 minutes.
Overall result:
2 hours of dinner in unbearably hot weather
1 diner hungry, or almost
30 euros per person, without even the courtesy of removing the portion of pizza the lactose-intolerant customer hadn't touched.
Never, never, never again (despite the pinsa, alas, excellent).
13/07/2025: Serata terribile (purtroppo, sotto tutti i punti di vista o quasi)
Io ed altri tre amici prenotiamo per cena in questo locale di Cecina noto per la sua rinomata pinsa al metro.
Prima di passare alle molteplici note dolenti, confermo che il prodotto sia di alta qualità, digeribile e molto buono.
Però... i però sono troppi, troppo gravi e mi spingono a non tornarvi più.
In primo luogo, al momento della prenotazione mi sono premurato di chiedere se vi fosse l'aria condizionata e, con mia somma delusione, ho trovato un locale piuttosto afoso (aria condizionata leggera quasi inesistente).
Ciò detto, ci fanno accomodare e la cameriera si presenta a prendere l'ordine solo dopo 15' (immaginate 15' con 35° senza nemmeno un bicchiere d'acqua)
Ordiniamo, complessivamente 3 mt e mezzo di pinsa, di cui 1 destinato esclusivamente ad uno solo dei commensali intollerante al lattosio, alché mi premuro di chiedere che quest'ultimo giunga contemporaneamente (ovvero antecedentemente) alle prime pizze in uscita, in quanto, in difetto, egli non avrebbe potuto 'assaggiare' una fetta delle nostre.
Ovviamente, la sua pizza giunge, non solo dopo 45' dall'arrivo delle altre, ma una parte della stessa presenta della mozzarella.
Basterebbe questo, no?
E, invece, la birra (14 euro di menabrea) viene presentata in una tristissima caraffa e palesemente e pesantemente annacquata: imbevibile.
Infine, al momento del caffè, la cameriera decide apoditticamente di portarne non già 4 (come richiesto), bensì solo 1. Gli altri 3 arriveranno solo dopo ulteriori 10'.
Risultato complessivo:
2 ore di cena con un'afa insopportabile
1 commensale digiuno o quasi
30 euro a persona senza nemmeno la cortesia di espungere la parte di pizza nemmeno toccata dal cliente intollerante al lattosio.
Mai, mai, mai più (nonostante la pinsa, ahimè, eccellente)
