15/07/2024: Young, efficient, but not suffocating staff. Welcoming and reasonably well-kept environment. Half a starter each, courgette flower stuffed with scampi on tomato and basil cream: very good. 4 risottos with cuttlefish ragout (in white) with finely chopped raw cuttlefish on top: sufficient. A grouper (1.7 kg) cooked island style with potatoes, vegetables and homemade mayonnaise: excellent. Two desserts. 3 coffees, a calvados and a rum. 2 bottles of water and two of wine (Vermentino from the Livorno hills): good.

06/08/2024: Great expectations as last time it was full and they didn't seat us. Today we booked and the very friendly old man at the entrance made us sit at our table. After about 20 minutes, a waitress who passed by by chance notices that we haven't received the menus yet!!! (It's off to a good start) We order an appetizer of Livornese-style stuffed mussels, spaghetti with clams and a cacciucco, a water and a quarter of a quarter white. The appetizer arrives but not even a sign of the wine. We point it out to a waiter, then to another and finally to the very nice waitress who took our order!!! After 20 minutes the quarter of white wine arrives, but it's a shame that the starter had already been served and it was also finished!!! The stuffed mussels are very good. While waiting for the other courses, we enjoy the free sauna offered by the restaurant, since they don't have air conditioning and the fans are blown by the wind, which isn't there! Meanwhile, the bread basket also arrives, just so we don't miss anything late! In the end the spaghetti with clams arrive, but instead of the caciucco they try to give my partner first a tagliatelle with meat sauce and then another spaghetti with clams. While I'm halfway through my plate, the long-awaited caciucco arrives (better if it stayed in the kitchen). Conclusion: spaghetti with clams totally loose, dry and full of shells with 7-8 surviving clams accidentally falling onto the plate. Cacciucco with 4 mussels, 5 clams, a cicada and a sea of ​​cuttlefish! What a disappointment!!!! In short, a tragicomic and somewhat embarrassing experience. If I were you, I would heartily review the dining room service, which is truly fun and amateurish. FA Hot, it's suffocating in that place and the people who eat in the heat are unhappy and don't enjoy the food! Advice for anyone wishing to venture into this tragic experience: AVOID!!!! It's just not worth it.

15/08/2024: Very negative experience! Let's start with a mixed starter to share listed on the menu at €32. When ordering, the waiter asked us if we wanted the one with raw seafood or without. We order the one with raw seafood thinking that the cost of the dish is the same since no alternative was indicated on the menu and we were not advised of any increase. At the time of the bill we will discover that the cost was €45 and no more than €32.... A not exactly correct approach!! The cover charge is high and equal to €4 per head, I imagine it would be justified by the restaurateur with the glass of prosecco "offered" at the start of the meal without asking whether it was appreciated or not. Last but not least the wine, marked on the menu at €21 and priced at €22 at the checkout. I certainly imagine a carelessness! Dishes with good flavor and moderately sophisticated. Very slow service. Internal room with AC but still high temperature due to the totally open terrace. We will definitely not be returning!

10/08/2024: We had a really good time. Excellent flavors and combinations (I absolutely recommend tasting all the starters! But not only that), excellent prosecco offered, good selection of wines including half bottles, excellent bread, very friendly service... what can I say, a truly excellent dinner. Michelin recommendation absolutely deserved, perhaps a star would also be in order...

25/08/2024: Excellent restaurant.. With outdoor parking space, large and welcoming outdoor room. Very nice interior room. We came here last night... as soon as we arrived they offered us a glass of prosecco (which made us very happy) excellent staff, very helpful, friendly and very polite. We had pizza, beer, cocacola, dessert and coffee... in short, a normal but really good menu. Fair prices and what should not be overlooked is that even the children had a good time (2 little ones). I highly recommend to everyone. Absolutely coming back.

24/08/2024: Penso che la gente non sappia più mangiare visto le recensioni positive .è un bel localino a cecina (toscana) pulito e confortevole ho chiesto un antipasto toscano (sapendo le varietà di salumi toscani) mi è stato servito un piatto con mortadella(bologna) salame milanese (milano) prosciutto (parma) ma scusate di toscano non c'era niente. Assolutamente bocciato

20/08/2024: My partner and I had dinner in this place and having seen the reviews previously, I confirm that it is exactly like this… I took a stuffed squid which was out of this world because of how good it was, exceptional welcome. We will be back, I recommend it to everyone!!!

15/08/2024: We had dinner “at Michele” this evening. Starter with octopus salad for both my girlfriend and I. Then as a second course we had grilled calamari (fabulous) and a very good mixed grill. We were served by Danilo. Super prepared and very friendly waiter. If we return to Capoliveri we will certainly return to the restaurant. Congratulations to all the Staff!! Fantastic, super professional and super fast!!

27/08/2024: We returned to the Hermitage after three years and the experience was equally unforgettable. This place offers a wonderful sea and unparalleled tranquility. The attention to detail is impeccable and the cleanliness is always impeccable. The quality of the food is simply exceptional. Here time seems to stop, allowing you to think about nothing and enjoy the moment. Everything is perfectly organized and carefully arranged. The mid-August evening is always special, with an extraordinary buffet, among the best ever tried, based on very fresh fish, both cooked and raw. Abundant grilled meat options, delicious desserts and an evening animated by exceptional guests who know how to involve everyone and crazy fireworks lasting over 10 minutes, directly from the beach. This place is truly a paradise in Italy.

24/08/2024: From a natural point of view, excellent location...very kind and attentive staff. Many services also available free of charge... rooms in my opinion need to be reviewed in detail and below the 5 star standard. In any case very nice. Nice and relaxing stay

04/08/2024: The place was nice, the staff were friendly but the price was too high for what we ate: two first courses, two fried foods, two glasses of wine and a water, €80, I find really excessive. The fried foods were good, medium portion, the seafood first course was a little salty. Prices are probably average for Piombino but remain excessive in my opinion.

06/08/2024: Osteria della Venezia located in a beautifully furnished place. The food is truly excellent quality and price. I recommend booking and the staff is very helpful.

05/08/2024: Starters with too much bechamel (on the fish!!!), first courses (tagliatelle with lobster) and second courses (cacciucco) flooded with tomato concentrate (and burnt garlic base), rubbery octopus. Also absent service (we waited 40 minutes for the bill).

27/08/2024: I had booked for 1pm on Monday for Thursday, I phoned on Thursday to say that there were 11 of us and I couldn't find the reservation, I arrive in the evening and instead of a table in the garden they put us inside, after half an hour the air conditioning wasn't working well, between the appetizer and pizza takes about 45 minutes and we were the first to arrive in that room, we didn't get there, I remembered it much better.

18/08/2024: Good and hospitable, home cooking but very good, tasty and plentiful. I think it's the only place I would eat in Queccanella. Octopus cacciuccato highly recommended!

26/07/2024: Mangiare sempre al top, in tante volte che siamo venuti non è mai stato “fallito” un piatto. Abbiamo portato vari amici e tutti sono rimasti piacevolmente colpiti dalla bontà di ogni singola portata. Per me l’eccellenza sta nel bollito misto di pesce che può sembrare un piatto facile e scontato invece ogni singolo pesce è cucinato alla perfezione e fa sì che questo piatto sia qualcosa di meraviglioso. Cameriere molto professionale e preparato, allo stesso tempo brillante e amichevole con l’abilità di farti sentire a casa. L’unica nota dolente è la cameriera che a parere nostro non è assolutamente all’altezza del posto, disattenta ai dettagli, scordandosi il pane e dovuto chiedere da noi dopo 10 minuti dall’arrivo dell’entree, posate mancanti al cambio portata, In più mai un sorriso e palesemente in difficoltà nella spiegazione delle portate a causa del fatto che non parla bene italiano.
