03/05/2026: I am writing to finally share my review of this restaurant, which I should have done a long time ago. I have visited this establishment many times over the years whenever I pass through Livorno. Since discovering this place, Its a must for me every time I visit the city and I'd always recommend it to my friends. Although it has been a couple of years since my last visit, I still miss the food dearly. The staff is consistently friendly and matches the high quality of the amazing pasta they serve. Additionally, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The entire experience is a 10/10, and I hope to visit again soon. ❤️

17/05/2026: The location is excellent, and overall it's a beautiful resort. If I had to offer a small constructive criticism, I'd give the front desk more attention. They didn't provide us with enough information, and it took us a quarter of an hour to find our room, asking for directions twice. Overall, I didn't experience this kind of courtesy in making guests feel pampered. Other couples felt the same way. At the gala dinner, a woman asked for chamomile tea after not eating anything; it was charged to her room. I find this rude. Think about it and use this review to help you improve.

31/05/2026: A typical, welcoming trattoria, the atmosphere is one of "good, authentic food" and the seafood is exceptional, top-quality and affordable. The staff is friendly, professional, and incredibly kind. Crispy, non-greasy fried food, truly exquisite traditional caciucco, and the simple spaghetti with clams is delicious. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy authentic Livorno dishes in a family-friendly atmosphere.

08/05/2026: During our week-long vacation, we dined several times at Paolo's, a historic restaurant landmark in Marina di Campo. The new restaurant, not far from the old one, has improved even further. Even though it wasn't easy! The location is truly beautiful, both inside and out. A cozy, intimate atmosphere is definitely a plus when the weather isn't favorable. It's hard to find fault with the cuisine, which now also offers truly successful meat dishes and new, captivating seafood dishes, well-thought out and perfectly executed. The extremely friendly and welcoming service, which doesn't compromise professionalism and remarkable customer service, has fortunately remained unchanged. Overall, it's a very nice place, where the food is truly good and where you'll want to return because of the extremely pleasant atmosphere... let's add that the prices are decidedly competitive compared to the island's standards. My sincere compliments to Paolo, Rossella, and the entire staff. See you soon.

It seems that using only fresh and pure ingredients isn't a priority here. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant's location overlooking the harbor is, of course, lovely.

We paid €3 per person for “coperto” and received five tiny, tasteless bread slices that felt like leftovers from a hospital tray. The “pasta with octopus” was actually six overcooked ravioli — 20€ for six pieces. That's not a portion, that's a joke. The sauce tasted like someone stopped caring halfway through. As a certified cook, I can say confidently: this wasn't a meal, it was a rip‑off. The total bill was €50, for mediocre food, and an experience I wouldn't repeat. In a room that was already too hot its still an experience. The staff was basic. The view was basic, nothing special, and the whole place felt tired. The toilet? Broken handle, no urinal, everyone forced to aim at the same tiny bowl, and the light turns off while you're sitting there. It feels like a design flaw nobody bothered to fix. And honestly, the only genuinely beautiful thing about the whole place were the waitress's eyes - Nice eyes don't save a bad restaurant. In short: Overpriced, underwhelming, uncomfortable, forgettable. The only thing you'll remember is the disappointment. If you're thinking of eating here, do yourself a favor and skip it.
