For a restaurant that makes refinement its strong point I honestly expected more, too bad

Inaffidabili, arrivando sul posto si rischia di fare brutta figura con i propri ospiti. Ritengo la precisione indispensabile quanto la qualità del cibo. Non vi farò perdere tempo in dettagli né cerco inutili polemiche ma posso documentare quanto affermo qualora utile a qualcuno.

22/10/2024: Visited twice. First time the service was fine and the food was delicious. Second time the owner was happy to see us again, but the service was extremely slow and disinterested even though half the restaurant was empty. The waiter didn't even initially bother supplying us with the necessary cutlery to eat the starters. Had to ask for olive oil as well despite that everyone else had it on the table. The pasta with porcini tasted watery and bland. After asking for parmesan cheese to make it more edible, the waiter found it necessary to ridicule our request by loudly asking a group of Italian diners if they would put cheese on a pasta dish with mushrooms in it. So yeah, we didn't really feel like going back a third time.

Le proposte in menù sono per lo più di pesce, caratterizzate da abbinamenti insoliti, scelte coraggiose, ma azzeccatissime, servite in quantità sufficienti. Tutto buono e ben bilanciato. Generoso calice di vino. Consigliata la prenotazione telefonica.

29/12/2024: Typical and historic pizzeria (and not only) of Orbetello. For me it's always a pleasure to go there, a security... As advice, book well in advance, the only warning is that the place is not exactly silent, but full of cheerful and noisy life.

07/12/2024: Generally you eat well here, in a pleasant environment. On November 26th we wanted to go back for dinner with friends, obviously after checking the opening hours on Google. 10km by car, we parked... and found it closed!!! Unspeakable indifference towards customers... but what does it take, if you decide to close the place, to update the opening hours on Google??? Mystery!!!

27/09/2024: Nata qualche anno fa come friggitoria, l'avevo utilizzata come cibo da asporto. Ora mi hanno veramente sorpreso con un menù ben fatto, poche cose ma cucinate molto bene e anche con qualche cosa di sfizioso. Il fritto poi, con la paranza in testa, la fa da padrone !! Ci sono tornato e poi ritornato e poi ancora !!! ....è ci tornerò....sicuro !!

30/09/2024: We had dinner last night but for the first time the dish ordered was not like other times, i.e. the amberjack fillets, perhaps due to overcooking, turned out to be stringy. Attentive service but perhaps affected by the imminent seasonal closure.

24/09/2024: Chosen by chance among many in Giglio Porto. Very welcoming environment. We were served by the owner, I presume, who was very exquisite in explaining to us the characteristics of their Ansonaco wine. We ate spaghetti with lobster (excellent with a really good tomato sauce, sweet and not acidic as often happens) and drank their Ansonaco wine in bulk and two desserts for €50 each (the spaghetti was one of the most expensive dishes).
