06/08/2025: Everything was perfect! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever return to Grosseto, but if I did, it would be for this restaurant.

06/08/2025: We kicked off our Tuscan vacation at this Osteria, and it couldn't have gotten off to a better start: we sampled two first courses, pici with ragù and gnocchi with duck breast, and shared a second course, the typical peposo, a delicacy so tender it melted in your mouth. Excellent wines and impeccable service. The location is stunning! We'll definitely be back!

25/07/2025: We've been several times already. Lovely place by the sea. Very good and carefully prepared food. They just need to change the menu instead of just the daily specials. And redo the menus and wine list, which are a bit tired for a place like this. ❤

25/07/2025: Fair prices for the quality and service. The tasting was excellent; we were satisfied and impressed by the flavor and quantity. Excellent service, attentive and friendly. The wait of a few days for a reserved table was well worth it. The tasting is recommended, and the wine list is well-stocked.

02/08/2025: We came here with our 9 month old baby and the owner Camelia made us feel so warmly welcomed. She personally walked us through the different dishes of the day, and recommended the freshest catch and wine as well. Our baby was noisy but we were made to feel like family! The seafood here is excellent, ingredients are impeccable. We were even able to feed our baby some seafood and vegetables. The dessert is also very lovely - creme brûlée texture was completely perfect and delicious. Then owner’s mother and son were also there, also kind and helpful. If you want to feel like family and eat like family, come here!

29/07/2025: We dined at Grantosco on a warm July evening and were very pleased with the food and the service. Prices were slightly higher than average, but worth the experience.

06/08/2025: Tutto perfetto! Personale gentile, cortese e ben presente. Siamo andati in 2. Posti nei tavoli all'esterno. Abbiamo preso antipasto, secondo e dolce. veramente tutti buonissimo. Se siamo di nuovo in zona ci si torna

04/08/2025: L’Osteria del Fritto non avrà la vista mare ma è un posto originale e ben curato. Avvolti da un discreto sottofondo musicale vi troverete accomodati ad un tavolo, ben organizzato con semplicità e buon gusto. Vivrete una piacevole situazione grazie da un ambiente curato, la gentilezza/competenza della titolare e di tutto il suo staff egregiamente condotto. Cena a base di frittura di pesce, leggera e saporita accompagnata da un buon bianco fermo. Che dire, l’ho scelto per le precedenti recensioni che, decisamente, confermo e sottoscrivo. Da considerare se volete trattarvi bene ad un buon costo! I coperti non sono molti, ma con una prenotazione e un pizzico di fortuna, nella disponibilità della gestione, io ho spuntato un tavolo all’aperto! 🥳😉

30/07/2025: We arrived at this restaurant at 9:30 PM asking if it was too late for dinner. The staff had probably finished cleaning and tidying up, and they were definitely about to close, since there was obviously little traffic on a Monday! They told us there was no problem and to sit down. Understanding the situation, we asked again if they were sure we had no problems, but they insisted there were no problems! Result? We ate in a rush in 30/40 minutes because the atmosphere was really heavy!!! It was clear that he was really pissed off by all the food!!! In fact, at one point during dinner, a guy who I think was part of the kitchen came out. We greeted him and he greeted us back, but he gave us a really nasty look!!!! No customer should feel like they were being treated like this, like they were doing us a favor!!!! As a customer, I would have been much more accepting if they had politely told us it was too late and that the kitchen was closed!! Instead of serving us in an atmosphere I wouldn't wish on anyone!!! We felt "unwelcome" and it's truly awful to dine in these conditions!!!!! But despite all this, we'll be back because the food was really good and the pici were exceptional.

20/07/2025: Very good food but the portions are insufficient. Despite the friendliness and sympathy of the waitresses, I can only give 3 stars to the service because it is chaotic. The owner is not doing his job in my opinion and there is no room manager so all the employees' efforts are in vain, too bad! We appreciated the retro setting. It's a shame to have to make a sandwich after ordering 2 dishes and 1 dessert. Budget for 2 adults and 2 children without coffee and digestif: 160 euros after discount.

30/06/2025: So at first, we are professional eaters, from 3 Stars Michelin down to Leberkässemmerl at the trainstation. In Giglio we try a lot of different Restaurants, the most are expensive and have nothing special. This we try: La veccia pergola i think the best in harbour... La Grotta del pescadore the captain should fish again by his self... La Margherita one of the worst i ever was in italy! And i was also in caorle... Doria much mistakes, tourism restaurant Sopravvento he wants to be a star restaurant and it is not... Maria fine and real restaurant, 100% italy! Zio meino real, good, cheap. Not for tourists, for lovers of italian cuisine! Da fiore di bartoletti arenella bad,bad,bad...

24/07/2025: Molto rumoroso, davvero tanto, e servizio molto lento e disordinato. Non abbiamo assaggiato le pizze ma i piatti del giorno ed il fritto, buoni. Ma appunto, davvero difficile avere una conversazione al tavolo dato il frastuono. Poi alle pareti i poster di Balbo (e ci sta, siamo ad Orbetello), ma pure il crocifisso appeso ed il calendario di Trump, non il massimo del buongusto in un locale pubblico.

19/07/2025: Questo ristorante è fantastico: cibo, scelta di birre e vini, servizio, tutto eccellente. Bisogna prenotare. Quando siamo usciti c'era la coda fuori di tanta gente che, alle ore 21:30 aspettava per entrare. Le pizze sono buonissime ed in tante varietà ma noi abbiamo provato il pesce al forno con patate. Ci torneremo.

24/07/2025: Cena in famiglia 2 adulti e 2 bambini 10 e 12 anni. Locale semplice in zona pedonale, posti sia interni che esterni, buoni i primi di pesce ed il ragù di carne, prezzi onesti. Un ringraziamento particolare a Nicolò, ragazzo gentile e disponibile, bravo, continua così.

23/06/2025: This was a very disappointing experience, I would have given zero stars if I could. Food we ordered wasn’t edible. Bread was mouldy and dry. Pan fried squid was in fact a stew with a suspiciously smelly squid. Pasta was very salty and black rice risotto tasted like rice cooked in unsalted water with a mix of leftovers king prawns cut offs (heads only!). Yes we are tourists , no we don’t speak Italian but we’re given English menu. No, we were not drunk. Just a middle aged couple out for what we hoped would be a nice dinner. We waited patiently , whilst tables around us were served food, even if they arrived later. We didn’t liked the starter nor mouldy bread but still not mentioned anything to the waiter. Once been served the pasta and rice , we couldn’t eat it. It looked and tasted revolting. We told the waiter we can’t eat it and won’t pay for it. She was fine with it, but didn’t really offered any explanation nor apologies. This was was quite peculiar since tables around us seemed to be served a fresh, tasty looking food that everyone seemed to be enjoying. I’m not a snob, nor a complainer but I know a difference between fresh honest food and crap served on the plate. If the restaurant doesn’t want to serve tourists they shouldn’t offer us a table. I can’t shake off the feeling this was done purposely. Such a shame as reading the reviews we were really looking forward to enjoy our dinner there.i hope none shares the experience we had.
