03/06/2025: A true culinary experience! Our visit to Filippo's was a complete success. The service was of an impressively high standard – friendly, attentive, and well-trained. Dishes and questions were explained to us patiently, even in English. The relaxed atmosphere, especially on the terrace, perfectly rounded off the experience. We had a five-course menu that guided us through the menu. The combination of fish and meat dishes was balanced, high-quality, and beautifully presented. Particularly impressive: some dishes seemed simple at first glance, but the fine details and excellent quality made them truly special. Filippo's is the perfect place for anyone seeking a true culinary experience in Italy – whether as a couple, with friends, or simply to treat themselves. And all this in the charming setting of Pietrasanta – a place that wonderfully combines culture and enjoyment.

27/05/2025: I didn't like it at all. It was very expensive and poor, especially in terms of quality. The waitress, who speaks Spanish, was very friendly.

26/05/2025: Last Saturday evening I wanted to try the renowned Ristorante da Giorgio, which I have never tried before despite having lived in Viareggio for a few years. That evening, despite having booked, I was not feeling well and did not have much of an appetite. My partner and I decided not to order wine to drink (which we practically always do because we are both teetotalers). Both at the table, the waitress and at the cash register, the owner, made us feel bad about the fact that we had not ordered anything to drink other than simple still water (0.65 cl) for a whopping €8, as can be seen from the receipt. Despite the dinner being very light, with just one appetizer, two first courses, a dessert and a piece of fruit, we spent a whopping €50.50 each (yes, because discounting that euro on the receipt and making the calculation even would have turned the evening's takings into the red, who knows). Cover charge €10 for dry bread from at least the day before and a narrow table where if I moved slightly with my chair I would hit the chair at the table behind me.. In short, I don't want to honestly say that the fish wasn't fresh and/or of good quality at all but the prices are absolutely disproportionate and not justified. The icing on the cake is that an acquaintance who went to dinner this evening at the same restaurant for an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert and even a passito paid €50... so the question is this: does the owner set prices based on the mood, the day or the friendliness of the diner? If it was a way to make us understand not to return, we will certainly accept the invitation!

03/05/2025: I honestly expected a minimum of quality, but everything was disappointing. The environment seems more like a neglected cellar than a real restaurant: improvised furniture, stale smell and practically non-existent cleanliness. The food? Frozen and low quality. I recognized some products as the frozen ones sold by Esselunga, without even trying to make them presentable. No attention to detail, small portions and non-existent flavour.

10/05/2025: We stopped on the way to Piombino, we had 3 hours of time... resulting in a car ride to reach the ferry in time... for 2 hours of 'agony' in this restaurant... appetizer for two (I paid two on the bill...) a sort of tigella with a tartare and an (industrial) taco filled with salmon (a little) and ricotta, but the nice thing is having waited 55 minutes for some stewed cuttlefish served in a whole bowl 'chipped', half paccheri with clams and pesto (only oil not received) and spaghetti with squid ink and prawn tartare... quite simple dishes without any art or part. Bad experience.

02/06/2025: Una cena da dimenticare, servizio approssimativo, camerieri caotici e per niente adatti. Ci hanno fatto attendere a lungo e benché i piatti fossero anche sufficienti non meritano tutti gli elogi che ho letto, la fonduta al coccio è il tipico camembert che trovi ovunque (pure molto salato) e il gran tagliere è abbondante ma i salumi non sono nulla di speciale per i prezzi richiesti. I tagliolini fatti in casa erano male impastati e quindi appiccicati, la carne non è assolutamente al livello del prezzo. In sintesi è troppo caro per la qualità e il servizio che NON offre. Se avessi letto prima le risposte saccenti e assurde che rifilano a tutte le recensioni che riportano lamentele, non ci saremmo mai venuti. Lo sconsiglio.

29/05/2025: Ordinato antipasto e pizza ottimamente consigliati da Sara, gentilissima e sempre attenta, pronta e velocissima nel rispondere a tutte le nostre richieste! Bello l’ambiente, ben curato e ben pulito! Elegante!!! Uscivano dalla cucina tutti piatti uno più invitante dell’altro! Ve lo consiglio! Ci tornerò presto!

16/06/2025: I share my experience, which did not fully meet my expectations, to make some observations that, I hope, will not be taken as criticism but as ideas for improvement. Let me start by saying that we ate outside, the outside part is right on the Aurelia where cars and scooters do not concern each other. Most likely the inside experience is certainly excellent, soft music, in the environment. But in the summer it is natural that you want to stay outside. Our dinner lasted two hours and we all couldn't wait to leave because the noise did not allow us to relax and chat. The director's chairs, this was of course our opinion, uncomfortable for someone who is no longer a kid. Let's move on to the food. Excellent raw materials (and you can taste it) The amazing boiled seafood. The other dishes were cooked with taste and skill but some things did not convince us (the filling for example in the calamari stew, a first course of chitarra a little too greasy, and the gnocchi too too tasty). In any case I repeat they were good dishes and cooked with skill. The only criticism however is the quality-price ratio with the premises made before. The prices, always in our opinion and we are not the absolute truth, are a little too high if, in fact, applied to the outdoor environment which, in summer, is also practically the most popular place.

22/05/2025: Excellent food, super desserts, Too bad there are few seats, we ate outside on a very cool evening because the inside, not having booked, was full. Very professional staff. Prices adequate for the high quality of the dishes.

For more than 10 years, during which we have been visiting this restaurant when coming to Tuscany, the quality of the food has always been at its best. Great service. Friendly staff. The most friendly prices.

23/06/2025: The food is always top notch. There are historic dishes that you would eat every time you go back, such as pappardelle with scottadito duck, Fritto Dell aia and souffle' (in winter) It's out of season. We had fried mushrooms, tagliolini with truffle, tartare with quail egg and truffle and fried flowers and finally pink grapefruit sorbet. Wine, water, coffee and ice cream for 100 euros.... Very high quality. The fried food was crispy and dry and everything in general was delicious. Well done....

04/06/2025: I live near this restaurant and since I was a child I have gone there for relatives' birthdays and the like. The staff is kind and professional, sometimes the service can be slow but it is also understandable as the restaurant is often full and the tables are huge. There is a fixed menu and another which is the proposal of the day. Everything is good, whatever you choose every dish is excellent. Impeccable desserts. Welcoming atmosphere.

14/06/2025: We didn't like it. At first, none of the waiters knew if a table was available for us. It took the third waiter to take care of it. The service was flippant and couldn't even crack a smile. The tables were placed outside, carelessly on the sidewalk. The food was okay, but poorly presented. We had the impression that the guests were just trying to make room for the next person. It was a shame about the evening.

10/06/2025: Everything was very good, the staff was courteous, Rossi told on the occasion, in the presence of Abba, how news had also reached Ferrara and Santa Maria a Monte about the rift, which seems unhealable, between Diolaiuti and the vegans.
