21/09/2025: A very formal restaurant on Via Atenea. They offer sparkling wine upon arrival, and the service is truly top-notch. The ingredients are top-quality. I had the pasta alla norma, and it was exceptional!

14/09/2025: Service: They are friendly, polite, serious, good, informative, impeccable. The food is excellent quality, I won't add anything else; it's not industrial, it's excellent, EXCELLENT! If you want a small place, without clutter and with good, well-organized food, La Pigna is perfect. Atmosphere: Small, Hobbit-like, beautiful, too beautiful. I had a risotto, excellent rice, excellent quality, with exquisite lupini beans, and I also had some delicious, pre-cleaned shrimp, perfect oil, and the fish is something else, especially Muddicca pasta. Excellent pasta, breadcrumb-filled pasta. For dessert: delicious tiramisu, delicious Zibibbo, and then the black cherry one, made with four flavors of delicious sugar balls, white balls that enclose the lemon and black cherry cream balls with a mint flower on top. 21/09/2025: A very special atmosphere and exquisite dishes. We've rarely eaten so well! Pasta Norma—a must in Catania—and a swordfish fillet. It doesn't take much to make an evening unforgettable. The owner focuses heavily on local cuisine and ingredients, and the results prove her point.

17/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant five consecutive nights during my stay in Catania, but I gladly returned a day ago, and I can say it was an unforgettable experience. Each evening I sampled various typical Catanese and Sicilian dishes, freshly prepared with the freshest ingredients, enhanced by authentic cuisine rich in flavor, and generous portions. The culinary approach of the owner and her staff is to be appreciated, admired, and above all praised, as it showcases our typical Sicilian, and especially Catanese, products with a focus on quality and freshness. The restaurant is very charming and welcoming, but what makes it truly special is the family atmosphere: the owner is extremely kind and helpful, and, along with the chef, made me feel at home. After dinner, I enjoyed staying to chat with them, and this made every evening even more enjoyable and memorable. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Catania who wants an authentic Sicilian experience, filled not only with excellent food but also with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

07/10/2025: A place to return to time and time again: excellent quality products, in an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Thanks to Tony & Alex and their families. I absolutely recommend the bucatini with sardines and the fish skewers: you can almost smell the sea air. P.S. Thank you (and for the bread!)

05/10/2025: Excellent octopus salad, excellent cod with Tropea onions, excellent Mediterranean-style swordfish. Fairly priced and top-notch staff (Tony and Alex are incredibly friendly, helpful, and courteous). Highly recommended if you're in Palermo and want a proper seafood dinner.

01/10/2025: We go to Erice repeatedly and we always look forward to this bar!! There is a very nice and cheerful service, delicious almond cookies or typical Linz dough cookies filled with various creams, the best is with ricotta - sheep's milk cheese. On one side of the bar there are sweet treats, on the other side there are savory snacks - pasta, pizza, arancine, focaccia, ..... pleasant sitting outside with amazing views with a coffee or good wine.

04/10/2025: We had a really great lunch here today. Five fish appetizers for two people €50. Excellent and interesting cooking. Friendly service. Would recommend and plan to return ourselves.

28/09/2025: The best Pasta A la Norma we had in our week here, between Catania and the islands north. Everything was delicious; dessert should not be skipped, also phenomenal. The staff was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Families were happy eating here and I would swear the manager knew everyone in the neighborhood as a regular if I could understand Italian. I felt welcomed and was well cared for nonetheless. One of our favorites of many restaurants visited around Italy. I wish the car wash across the street would close for a better atmosphere.

06/09/2025: My boyfriend and I came for dinner on our first night in San Vito. Even though it was a bit late, the guys were very accommodating in seating us in their internal courtyard. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. We had the grilled octopus and the tuna fillet with green peppercorns, both amazing. Highly recommended!
