20/08/2025: Highly recommended for those who want to eat well, feel at home, and spend very little. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and warm. As Giancarlo said last night, at his restaurant, we're all equal, and he treats everyone like one big family. The quality of the fish is excellent, and all the ingredients are treated with love, and it shows! When the bill arrived, my wife and I looked at each other in disbelief, thinking it was a mistake... They thought they were paying at least double! I'll recommend this place to anyone visiting Catania! Warm regards to Giancarlo, Filippo, and all the other staff members!

02/09/2025: Disgraceful lunch: 1 appetizer, 1 first course, 2 shameful grilled dishes with fish that wasn't what they said, they said 3 waters and 1 very normal Altavilla Corte wine. They gave me a discount of 2.00 euros. The owner should explain to me why we have to suffer at lunch and have air conditioning at dinner. For your information, they asked me for 170.00.

14/08/2025: Being from Tampa Florida we know lots about good seafood ! La Cozza d’Oro of Augusta has superb quality of seafood from oysters to mussels to clams and so much more ! We dined at their restaurant and Cettina the head chef along with Maurizio and Bruno were most accommodating helpful and everything was delicious prices were fantastic and location and atmosphere wonderful ! We highly recommend La Cozza d’Oro if you visit beautiful Sicily

20/08/2025: The Asian cuisine was very good. The pizza wasn't up to par. Overall, the quality was good. The portions were very generous. The house wine is not recommended. They probably had a staff shortage, as the service was slow. It was unpleasant to see the owner wandering around with a lit cigarette.

19/08/2025: Very close, a 2-minute walk from our pet-friendly establishment (La Chicca di Milù), we had a great time. The staff was very helpful, efficient, friendly, and professional, ready to accommodate any need. Excellent food and very fresh fish, cooked to perfection. Highly recommended, in fact, I'm going back again today! Well done to all the staff.

16/08/2025: We stayed here during our stay in Lampedusa in early August. The food and flavor combinations were excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. We were looking for alternatives besides fish, and here we found a variety of options and enjoyed a superb cheese platter with jams! We liked it so much that we returned twice during our vacation! The only downside is that the outdoor seating is unfortunately on the roadside, so it gets crowded with cars and scooters, but alas, this is a common problem for local restaurants.

10/08/2025: A very quaint outdoor table for two. The quality of the dishes is unquestionable: everything is top-notch. We started with "bombette" (actually arancini) with seafood and zucchini. Very special. We continued with amberjack tartare with Smith apples, truly divine. Recommended more for an aperitif than for dinner, as there are no main courses like pasta or second courses. In any case, highly recommended.

19/08/2025: Visit this Family owned restaurant with my friends from Catania. It is a traditional Sicilian kitchen food restaurant. Most of the clients are local people and that is sign for very good local kitchen. From pizza , pasta , meat , fisch … great food ! I took grill meat plates. Smells and taste it great . Service is very fast and very friendly. I was the second time here and of course not last time ! It’s like the name of the restaurant says , “ at home of friends “

19/07/2025: An experience not to be repeated!! The service was almost nonexistent throughout the dinner; the crab pasta was very salty, and the sea urchin pasta was tasteless and had tomato sauce!! The fried food was decent. The raw Mazara prawns were excellent, and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. After expressing our inconvenience, we were only asked if we wanted coffee. For €120 for two, I think there are many other options in Palermo.

18/07/2025: Don't order the hot appetizers... the pizza is poor, the schiacciata being an exception... the seafood appetizer and other seafood dishes are good... they need to be careful with the wine temperature... the service: plenty of staff but poorly managed. Excellent location. If the details were addressed, it would be excellent. We had a table for 12 people.

30/08/2025: We had a light dinner with an aperitivo featuring local specialties. Everything was very good and plentiful, just like in the photos. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, and the price was reasonable. It certainly wasn't a grand dinner, but the portions were just right for my wife and I. The location is very central yet quiet, even on a Saturday night. I highly recommend it for those with modest expectations.
