15/08/2025: A real discovery! I ate divinely at Andreas in Taormina... I have to thank my two friends Joe and Gabriella for taking me there. The ingredients were of the highest quality; I've tried other restaurants in Taormina, but none can even begin to compare. The best? The raw fish appetizer: incredibly fresh, with attention to detail, it's truly spectacular. Every bite was an explosion of flavor! Attentive and professional service. An experience I absolutely must repeat, highly recommended!! Definitely, absolutely, one of the best restaurants in Taormina 👌🐟🍷

09/07/2025: We wanted to eat fish, we found this beautiful location on the sea, the holiday home has a large restaurant, at 8.30 pm, we were the only ones there, young but kind waiter, after a good peppered mussels, they brought us a mixed fry and linguine, frozen fish😯 maybe we should have asked "the catch of the day?" I'm sorry but we won't be back

We ordered three cooked appetizers (each consisting of six mini portions), three first courses (the simply sublime Rotonda sul Mare "linguine with Mazzara red shrimp and tuna bottarga"), four desserts, a bottle of Franciacorta, amaro, and coffee on the house... for the price of €72... if you love good food, I highly recommend it...

We had asked, extremely politely, for just a plate of pasta for my pregnant wife. Nothing pretentious, just a minimal gesture of courtesy and common sense. Instead, we were met with a curt refusal, seasoned with a total lack of empathy, attention, and professionalism. The service? To say it was nonexistent would be a compliment. Such a welcome would make even the most mediocre company cafeteria pale. If you want to feel unwanted, this is the place. It’s truly hard to judge the quality of the food, as we weren’t even allowed to have a single dish—despite arriving at 10:45 PM while other tables were still being served appetizers and main courses without issue. We politely asked for just one plate of pasta for my pregnant wife. Nothing extravagant, just a small gesture of courtesy and common sense. Instead, we were met with a blunt refusal, wrapped in a complete lack of empathy, attention, and professionalism. The service? Saying it was non-existent would be a compliment. Such a welcome would embarrass even the worst office cafeteria. If you're looking to feel unwelcome, this is the place for you.

16/07/2025: Attentive and attentive staff. Clean and welcoming place. I ordered a seafood pizza, off the menu...I didn't like it, both for the texture and the frozen ingredients. Opt for the traditional pizzas, which are really good, with excellent dough and plenty of ingredients.

03/08/2025: We decided to dine at this restaurant with high expectations since it had been recommended to us by locals. It was a disappointing experience, a purely touristy place, with poor quality food. The fish tartare was flavorless or covered in spices, not to mention the salad with fennel, olives, and anchovies. We were also disappointed with the service; the waiters didn't even pay attention to you, orders were rushed, and the appetizer was served two minutes after ordering. There was general chaos and confusion, unbecoming of such a "renowned" restaurant. The price was high for the quality and quantity of the food.

Piatti semplici ma che non hanno nulla da invidiare a ristoranti super qualificati. Prodotto fresco e di qualità a seconda del pescato del giorno. Super consigliato!!!!

27/07/2025: Locale molto accogliente e soprattutto pulito. Personale veloce e disponibile. Le pietanze sono davvero buone, noi siamo clienti abituali, canare qui è una certezza. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il titolare lo vedi girare i tavoli per accertarsi che tutto proceda bene, grande attenzione al cliente.

24/07/2025: Siamo clienti abituali, tutto sempre buonissimo…però si deve migliorare assolutamente l’acustica del locale, non si riesce nemmeno a dialogare tranquillamente tra i commensali

09/07/2025: Wow. Run, don’t walk, to try the Caponata Siciliana! The husband and wife (owners) were very attentive and helpful with our various allergies and dietary restrictions. I’m celiac and have a dairy allergy, and the other guest is vegan. Everything was wonderful. They are also open at a time when most places are closed. (Pro-tip: they have an indoor area with AC!)

05/07/2025: Let me set the scene: it’s 19:30 on a warm June evening, the kind where the sky melts into gold, a breeze wraps around you like a silk scarf, and swallows swoop through the air like they were choreographed just for your arrival. You take a tiny glass elevator to the top floor of the Grand Hotel Ortigia and boom—you step into one of the most elegant rooftop settings in Sicily. We had called just the day before to book and were lucky to find a spot (end of June = still doable, but I’d reserve ahead if you’re coming in high season). We were seated on the terrace—front-row seats to the most cinematic sunset over Ortigia, with boats drifting in the background and the sea stretching endlessly before us. The food? Let’s talk about that polpo. “Polpo doppia cottura su crema di patate” sounds poetic—and it is. Tender, rich, and the kind of dish you order as a secondo but secretly wish you could eat for every course. Then came the pasta: pistachio pesto and shelled clams swimming in a vibrant green sauce. Balanced, bright, and exactly what summer on a Sicilian rooftop should taste like. Service was very professional. We sat outside on the terrace, but there’s also refined indoor seating if the weather doesn’t play nice. We parked at Parcheggio Molo Sant’Antonio using EasyPark (about a 10-minute scenic walk along the lungomare) it’s large, easy, and feels like part of the experience. There may be closer options, but the stroll is worth it. Would I go again? In a heartbeat. And next time, I’m ordering dessert too.

29/06/2025: My son and I came for my birthday dinner. Service was grand. We were dressed casually with no problem. The grouper fish and the veal were very good as well as the steamed shrimp. Drinks were ridiculously priced. $20 for a mojito and $26 for a suggested italian gin and tonic. The views are amazing.
