14/10/2025: Playa del Sol never disappoints... anyone craving both raw and cooked seafood will find their perfect spot here. Sunday lunch: raw appetizers (baby octopus, cuttlefish, cuttlefish tagliatelle, shrimp, scampi, and various shellfish) and cooked appetizers (seafood salads, shrimp with cheese flakes and arugula), as well as swordfish, salmon, and tuna carpaccio; 1 first course per person, including seafood tagliolini, paccheri with clams and scorpionfish, and spaghetti with clams; 1 bottle of rosé wine from an excellent cellar; and 1 lemon sorbet to finish. TOTAL €40 per person! A spectacular location (basically a sea-level terrace) with a very welcoming atmosphere and attentive, helpful service. The only flaw in the service, if I really had to find one, is the lack of foresight to serve the women first.

11/10/2025: Everything was exceptional, the fish was incredibly fresh and the service was impeccable. The gentleman who looked after us was incredibly kind and friendly. We'll be back!

01/11/2025: A quaint restaurant-restaurant on the Giovinazzo waterfront. Entering, you feel like you're on a cruise thanks to the quaint decor. The staff is courteous and friendly. The menu is comprehensive and extensive (including vegetarian options). Lunch began with both land and sea appetizers. You can choose between land and sea first courses. We personally ordered four portions of trofiette with shrimp, cuttlefish, and squid ink, two portions of seafood fettuccine with cherry tomatoes, and one portion of calamarata with truffle, mushrooms, pistachios, and cream. The portions were generous and delicious. For our second course, we chose grilled entrecote, sea bream (cleaned on site by the waiter after cooking and served), and finally a mixed fried seafood dish. To conclude, we ordered desserts, coffee, and a liqueur. Very satisfied, we'll definitely be back!

13/09/2025: ⸻ This evening we ordered takeout pizzas. Aside from the wait of over an hour (which can happen on Saturdays), they all arrived incorrectly, with the Parmesan cheese added that we didn't request and without the drinks we ordered. We avoided calling to avoid any problems, but we definitely won't be ordering takeout pizzas from them again.

08/09/2025: Generally, the food is quite good; the only problem is that sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good. You have to try it and be lucky.

08/12/2025: Good morning, yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with a dear friend of mine for lunch, who took me to Monopoli for the first time. What can I say? As soon as we entered, fate decreed that we were the first to arrive, and thus had that little bit of anxiety about being in full view of everyone. Haha, then, just two seconds later, not only did we smell the delicious food, but we also immediately sensed the special aroma of a kind welcome that made us feel instantly at home. And, above all, seeing the PEACE of mind that permeates the heart of the place and all the people who work there, always with a genuine smile on their faces, filled my heart from the very first moment. Politeness? Simply extraordinary, needless to say. Always attentive to everything, but always with a smile. A friendliness that I would describe as 110%. I savored the delicious dishes, those spectacular baked potatoes, that seafood platter. I'm also sorry I was full, otherwise I would have taken it home if I could have. Haha, eg eg, but anyway, we chatted, and we kept repeating: "What a beautiful place, what lovely people, how delicious this pasta is, look how lovely the waiters are to each other, seeing them smile at their work is not a given, given that some people work almost reluctantly these days, etc." Because having GOOD-hearted people around you really improves your mood. I felt free of mind, for the first time in a while: I even told my friend, it almost felt like a burden had been lifted from me. Maybe it's the wonderful humanity of those who work there, the atmosphere, the EXTRAORDINARY food, the good company, or the wonderful light that envelops the place... but I hope to return countless times. Kindness, politeness, goodness of heart, believing in what you do, respect for yourself and then for those around you, and above all, a HUGE SMILE will always be the best ways to face life. 07/12/2025: I went for lunch today with my family and it was truly a pleasure, both for the palate, which was delighted by the exquisite first and second courses, and for the truly unique location... and what can I say about the super welcoming staff, attentive to every little detail. I highly recommend it.

16/11/2025: Everything was very, very good, we will return.

30/11/2025: Unfortunately, they'd lost our order, something they confirmed firsthand several times. And since I'm pregnant, waiting over an hour between the appetizer and the main course was too much! I was really hungry! They apologized, but I expected them to make amends with a small discount, but nothing... The dishes were good, but not up to the bill. I won't be returning.

29/11/2025: Oh my, what a place! I've been here several times over the years, but since this summer I've been back three or four more times, both with family and friends. I've noticed the dishes have been updated compared to previous years, flavorful and beautifully presented for a "locanda." The Giovannino is worthy of praise, the octopus meatballs "furi di testa," the meat ragu with brasciola was never so good (and I'm from Bari). Friends and family were very satisfied, and the coconut dessert was also excellent. You can sense the love in the preparation. The wait staff was also very kind and helpful, and the wine selection was good. It's a sure thing now. See you next time!

11/06/2025: Consigliatisisimo..abbiamo deciso di fermarci qui per un aperitivo e non potevamo fare scelta migliore. Ostriche , gamberi , scampi , polipetti,.tutto fresco e buonissimo.

02/06/2025: Esperienza davvero eccellente! Abbiamo gustato un aperitivo a base di crudi di pesce freschissimi, accompagnati da due calici di vino. Consigliatissimo per chi ama i sapori autentici del mare e vuole concedersi una pausa di gusto e qualità!

15/11/2025: Let's start with the assumption that, okay, if you have fish for dinner, the price goes up. Well, first of all, octopus salad, a small bowl. Two fried octopuses that looked boiled, and a fried dish whose batter stuck to the plate...usually crispy, no, this one was soggy. We didn't have time to leave the restaurant before they closed; they were basically waiting for us. They were already home, thinking about it and wearing their pajamas. Overall, my love story was coming to an end because of the soggy fried dish. For two, €150 seems rather excessive. P.S.: the love story is still going strong. Best regards

12/11/2025: A small gem overlooking the sea, where the sea is also present inside, in all its dishes prepared with care, skill, and passion. A breathtaking terrace, attentive and friendly service, and tasty and rigorously fresh dishes make it a must-try for those who want to spend a special moment or enjoy an excellent meal without breaking the bank (€104 for 2 with an excellent bottle of wine recommended, raw and cooked seafood appetizers, 2 first courses, and a mixed fried fish to share, coffee, and liqueurs). People who take pride in what they bring to your table make it a sure thing. Enjoy this experience. Reservations recommended, especially in high season. A must-try.
