20/05/2025: Typically Italian style restaurant, specializing in pizza and pasta. Quiet place on one of the side streets in the center of Bari. Very good spaghetti all'assasina. Friendly service. Modern interior design, nicely presented dishes. Prices similar to other restaurants in the area

19/05/2025: Very good Barese food and pizzas. We ordered the flan and the radicchio parcels and they were a delight. In addition, the first courses were very good.

22/05/2025: 5 stars for the food, the service and the place. I tried the appetizer: average seafood salad (I would have liked a portion of mixed appetizer but it wasn't included), the first course is worth all 5 stars, something exceptional for the palate: parsley bavettine with almond pesto and prawn tails. Truly sublime. I would go all the way back to Bari for this dish!!! Good mixed fried food. Dessert: lemon sorbet made by them, a must try, exquisite!!

31/05/2025: Food was excellent. it's a fine dining restaurant. Price point is high and the portions are tiny. The service wasn't at that level. The waiter made us feel like we weren't important because perhaps we didn't order the more expensive dishes or order a lot. Disappointed.

27/05/2025: Lovely room, mediocre food which caters to tourists, not italians. They charge a "coperto" of 4 Euros per person which is unjustifiably high. Coperto is typical in Italy but usually much less. The bus-boy was clearly very poorly trained, which suggests the restaurant does not care about repeat visits. They know their tourist clientele will not return. Some dishes were good, including the tuna carpaccio. Others were mediocre and heavily over priced.

04/05/2025: 1 star only because it is not possible to rate less: inadequate service, fish dishes proposed by the restaurant manager, ordered and never arrived (and probably, if we hadn't noticed, we would have also paid handsomely), non-existent proposals for vegetarians, errors admitted during service and then reneged on at the time of the bill and exaggerated total to pay for food of poor (very poor) quality, as if we were in a starred restaurant. Naturally, even the criticisms were not accepted, a demonstration of low level and dubious communication skills. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED, stay away, Polignano deserves much more than these fake improvised restaurateurs.

07/05/2025: Turist restaurant. It seemed good and made reservation there. At the time if reservation, no table for us. Tha lady said that table will be in 5 minutes, but after 15 minutes still no table. Then we left and had a wonderfull meal at Antiche Mura, which I highly recommend… After the comment of the owner: Please don't take me for a fool. You know exactly that I reserved a table outside, because a reservation for a table inside is not necessary at that time. Because you had a request, you gave my table to another guest, and "moved" me inside the restaurant, which was completely empty anyway. When you offered me a table outside "when the guests leave", I thanked you for it and left, even though you tried to convince me to stay. I left because of your attitude towards me, not because I couldn't wait another 15 minutes... If you show more respect to your guests, the guests will certainly respect you and your work more.

06/05/2025: It's delicious. There is more seafood than grass in the seafood salad. The price is reasonable too. I want to come again. Reservation required. I ordered grilled sea bass and seafood spaghetti. Seafood spaghetti is raw noodles. Chewy. Panna cotta is too sweet for Koreans, but still delicious.

03/05/2025: If it weren't for the location, which is very pleasant, we could say that this restaurant is a disaster! A dish without any flavor and with 3 unfortunate pieces of fish/shellfish, much too expensive for what was offered. Avoid!

17/05/2025: Das Personal ist zwar freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber die Speisen sind viel zu überteuert. Man hat das Gefühl, es gibt mehr Kellner und anderes Personal als Gäste.

15/05/2025: We had booked through Forks for 8:30 pm. We were surprised to be called by the restaurant and told they'd told us to arrive at 7 pm 😱 something we hadn't noticed. In short, they pressured us to arrive as quickly as possible. We ordered two eight-course seafood menus. Overall, the menu was good, except for the dessert trio, which was too sweet. But we were served much too quickly. We'd barely finished our plate when the next one arrived. Luckily, the person who served us was very pleasant and her service was impeccable 👌 We left at 8:45 pm; the restaurant was almost empty. Maybe they wanted to finish earlier? In any case, bad experience with The Fork who sent us an email to tell us that we had not honored our 8 p.m. reservation for one person (even though there were 2 of us)🤔

12/04/2025: E’ la terza volta che ritorno, ennesima straordinaria conferma cui segue inevitabilmente la recensione. Ristorante a tutto tondo superlativo (Ricci fantastici, tagliatelle di mare straordinarie), antiato e primi buonissimi e soprattutto ASSASSINA ECCEZIONALE. Complimenti da ritornarci sempre!!!

07/04/2025: We had dinner at 2 Aquile driven by the desire to taste their famous spaghetti all'Assassina, which, just as the other reviews say, are truly delicious. As an appetizer we had tuna carpaccio and drank house white wine. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and it's not true that the staff are rude, they were all kind and friendly to us.

02/05/2025: We only had water there and left because of the poor service. My host from hotel recommended there and I had already chosen menu to order at my hotel. The waiter or manager forced us to order lobster came in today. I was open to order it as recommended but it was duplicated menu selection what i wanted to order. So I asked menu again to order different one and the lobster. Then, the manager sighed right next to us and we couldn’t enjoy our dinner there. So we moved to the other ristaurante. I came to Polignano Amare on vacation and went here after receiving a recommendation from the hotel manager. The recommendations were good and there was a lot of delicious-looking food, so I decided on a menu at the hotel and went there, but the wine was fine for now and I declined it. They kept pressuring me that the lobster was coming in today. I heard that it goes well with tagliatale pasta, and since the menu I was planning to order was tagliatale noodles, I asked them to bring me the menu so I could order something else, and they sighed heavily. I thought I wouldn't be able to have a pleasant dinner on a pleasant vacation, so I told him I would only pay for the water, and he told me to just go. So I went to another nearby restaurant, Karapa, and it was much friendlier. Oh, it was a very unpleasant experience.
