02/11/2025: Overall, my experience at this restaurant was mixed. The appetizers were very good and carefully prepared, truly the highlight of the meal. The first courses, however, didn't convince me: in my case, the pasta with sauce (which was supposed to be with cardoncelli mushrooms and Norcia mushrooms) had a rather sweet and very liquid sauce, lacking the main ingredients. (The photo was taken after only three forkfuls; after that, I couldn't continue like the others.) The second courses were decent, well-cooked but without any particular distinguishing features. The service, however, was a bit slow: we were among the first to arrive but among the last to receive our second course, when many in the dining room had already finished. Another small note about the organization: when we booked, we were given the option of choosing dishes à la carte, but once we arrived, we were asked to choose the same first course for the entire table. This was understandable for organizational reasons, but it would have been better to clarify this upfront. Overall, a place with potential, but with some areas that could be improved.

02/11/2025: We celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday with the family. It was a pleasant evening, with seafood and meat appetizers. I had also ordered a pizza, but then I saw a risotto and asked if it would be possible to exchange my pizza for a seafood risotto. Silvia, the waitress who looked after our table, was very courteous and accommodated my request. The service was impeccable, very attentive to everything. We will definitely be celebrating other anniversaries at Chalet del Sole.

01/09/2025: A charming little place in the historic center of Ruvo di Puglia. We had a wonderful lunch in a charming atmosphere. The orecchiette with burnt wheat were superb, and the fried fish was delicious. Worth the trip!

16/11/2025: We had dinner at this elegant restaurant on Friday, November 14th, and had a great time. The staff was friendly and professional. We ordered a tasting of hot and cold appetizers, which were very good. For the main course, we had grilled fish and tuna with vegetables. We finished with a rocher for dessert, all accompanied by an excellent local Falanghina. Good value. Recommended.

30/11/2025: We bought 2 pizzas. One 4 cheese and a ham and mushroom pizzas. The pizza was quite far from what you expect from an Italian pizza. Low quality ingredients and low quality pizza dough. The chees was totally tasteless like rubber. However the price was lower than the average pizza prices in the touristic area. So I guess it was ok for the price/value balance...

19/11/2025: A welcoming and elegant place, it has become a city landmark in just a few years. Excellent desserts, coffee, and an attached restaurant.

17/11/2025: We were there on Sunday 16th November for lunch with 7 people. We ate from hot/cold starters to seafood platters, sushi, first courses and a dessert tasting. The place was magnificent, the food was excellent, the service was excellent and efficient, everything was in line with the standards that a quality restaurant must respect. Well done, keep it up... CERTAINTY!

08/12/2025: 5 stars are not enough! The dishes were meticulously prepared, as was the service, which was never intrusive. The ingredients were excellent. The waiters pampered us on the holiday (December 8th), and were able to advise us on the dishes (the cuttlefish tagliatelle was amazing). The children (including 10-month-old Daniele) ate immediately, even though the restaurant was full. Private parking is available a 1-minute walk from the restaurant. The atmosphere was elegantly and welcomingly decorated for Christmas. I can't wait to return. Thank you for treating us to a wonderful lunch.

31/10/2025: The atmosphere was intimate and very welcoming. The table service was prompt, but cold and disinterested. Throughout the dinner, not even at checkout were we asked how it went. The child's cavatelli with tomato sauce was completely overcooked, but he ate it anyway because he was very hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. The pasta was so soft it broke on the palate. I had a first course with creamed peppers, but it was very bland (I generally eat very lightly at home). The octopus appetizer on fava bean puree was good, but the portion was really small, so you have to ask for bread baskets. I didn't like the chestnut dessert, but I should point out that personal taste may have played a big part. I had intended to report this at the cashier if asked how it went, but nothing happened. Too bad, never mind. I chose it to celebrate my birthday and had high expectations overall, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it. UPDATE: NO, the customer isn't always right. I've adjusted my "food" rating (from 1 to 2). In fact, the child's pasta was inedible (zero), the octopus was a 3, and the bland first course was a 2. A "2" rating is probably more likely. In any case, I don't think it's very elegant or polite to criticize using such terms. But reading your responses, even to other less-than-positive reviews, only presumption, sarcasm, annoyance, and arrogance emerge. You need to accept that perhaps something went wrong with some customers, instead of criticizing everything in a harsh tone as if it were unacceptable and out-of-touch reviews. I even thought about returning to change my mind, but it put me off. Good luck.

29/10/2025: Always in search for a good meal in every location I visit. PerBacco did not disappoint one bit. Located a bit off the main strip, this place still maintains a warm and cozy charm about it. The surprising highlight was the complimentary stater of olives fried in tomatoes. For appetisers, the grilled octopus is mandatory. Perfectly cooked, not chewy and the tips of the tentacles were lightly charred and crunchy. For mains, rely on the owner to recommend a seasonal dish as the menu is on rotation. For dessert, I had a seasonal dish of chestnut mousse and whipped ricotta with dark chocolate.

17/11/2025: This pasta is incredibly good and also the seafood was incredibly fresh. The staff were excellent and attentive and the place is beautifully maintained with a great ambiance.

28/10/2025: We were there on October 19th for our daughter's baptism... attention to detail, with waiters ready to fulfill every wish of the guests... a superb lunch and above all a fantastic day for everyone...

06/11/2025: We booked at this restaurant listed as a fresh fish restaurant so we had very high expectations but that was not the case. We had cooked seafood appetizers but really small portions with not top quality products at the price of €18 per person, as a first course their flagship risotto, hard and rubbery rice with non-existent ingredients and with a lake of cream that tasted like the risottos prepared by Knorr memories of youth cost €16, as a second course a half slice of swordfish with a tasteless and hard to eat flavor passed off as fresh but I have serious doubts at the cost of €16. Total cost €103 this is not the right way to do catering but making fun of people at least those who know about fresh fish.

03/11/2025: My husband and I went to this restaurant with very high expectations, but that wasn't the case. What we were served seemed to be made with low-quality ingredients. The appetizers were paltry and overpriced for what was served (€18 per person). The risotto was inedible, rubbery rice full of cream and nonexistent, low-quality ingredients. The half-slice of swordfish was tasteless and tough, typical of frozen fish. This restaurant advertises itself as a fresh seafood restaurant, but that wasn't the case. Only the waiter understood the inconvenience and tried to remedy the situation, but it was too late.

29/11/2025: A truly wonderful restaurant with outstanding food. The seafood is incredibly fresh — the kind you can confidently enjoy raw. The service is excellent, the staff genuinely warm and welcoming. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

09/11/2025: Everything was really good, definitely worth returning. The only negative was the raw seafood. 4 scampi 4 red prawns 4 walnuts 4 oysters Tagliatelle €80 is definitely disproportionate.
