16/01/2026: **Exceptional seafood experience in Bari!** We had an outstanding lunch at Biancofiore today. The raw seafood starter was absolutely divine incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. You can taste the quality in every bite. Our waitress was wonderful attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help us select the perfect wine pairing for our meal. Her recommendations were spot-on and really elevated the entire dining experience. If you're in Bari and looking for exceptional seafood in a welcoming atmosphere with outstanding service, Biancofiore is a must-visit.

10/05/2026: We went to this place to spend a pleasant Mother's Day with the family... and this was the result: a terrible lunch, embarrassing service, and €300 wasted. Believe me when I tell you, they don't even know the ABCs of cooking at this restaurant. We ordered a platter of raw seafood: what arrived were five small, empty sea urchins, a small portion of cuttlefish tagliatelle served without ice, four hairy mussels, four white walnuts, four oysters, and a small plate of boiled octopus. For the first course: 2 mezze maniche with monkfish: extremely hard, dry pasta, with barely any tomato sauce and no monkfish whatsoever, replaced with shrimp; 2 spaghetti with clams: extremely salty, watery, and completely flavorless. After that mess, I wanted to get up and leave, but out of politeness, we stayed. We also ordered fried calamari and a medium-rare steak: the calamari was clearly frozen, and the meat arrived overcooked. All for the "modest" price of €300, completely unjustified given the quality, quantity, and service. The worst thing, however, was the owner's attitude: rude, arrogant, and aggressive, to the point of verbally attacking me simply because we'd pointed out problems with the dishes to the waiters. The positive reviews we've read online don't even begin to reflect our experience. A word of advice to the owner: catering is an art based on quality, respect, and politeness. You clearly can't do this job.

But their real strength lies in everything that happens once you're seated in the restaurant. Superb cuisine, a sensational wine list, and above all, outstanding service have made every single one of my visits here an exceptionally positive experience! Definitely make a reservation and try the tasting menu!

12/04/2026: This family restaurant was recommended to us by our BnB host. It sees very little tourist traffic. We went two days in a row at 8PM, and the place was mostly empty. By 9PM, it got packed with locals. We went in looking for seafoods, and it delivered. Pasta with clams and mussels, pasta with tuna, risotto with seafood were all outstanding. The price is also very reasonable, especially for it's portion.

21/05/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance after a long vacation abroad and needed a proper pasta dish. We couldn't have made a better choice. We were completely satisfied with the food, the service, and the hospitality, not to mention the very refined and clean atmosphere. If I ever return to Bari, I'd definitely know where to eat.

12/06/2026: The octopus was phenomenal! The suckling pig was very tender, and you can’t go wrong with the orecchiette. Although the beef tartare was mediocre we had a delightful dinner by the lively piazza:)

11/06/2026: Friendly staff, excellent food, a welcoming location in the historic center, and reasonable prices. I'd say it's perfect. I took some of my colleagues here because I wanted them to try authentic Bari cuisine. Being Neapolitan, they didn't disappoint. Well done.

10/01/2026: The food is good, and I wouldn't consider it expensive, but I hate the fact that they don't bring me the bill and just tell me the total verbally, so I can't check the details. It's unprofessional. How much did the fish I ordered weigh? How much did some of the dishes we ordered that weren't on the menu cost? We'll never know.

06/06/2026: Excellent restaurant in the city center, small but very welcoming. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and they make you feel at home. Superior quality dishes, all very fresh, excellent raw fish, phenomenal first courses, and the famous Pasta all'Assassina, the best in Bari. Recommended.

14/05/2026: We entered Bar Cortigiano, and it wasn't our first time there. We were already familiar with the old management, so we immediately noticed the change. This time, we were asked to pay in advance, and we were a bit surprised. We ordered a peach juice for €5, but after about half an hour, it still hadn't arrived. Meanwhile, however, other customers seated after us were already being served coffees and beers without any problems. At that point, we had to complain, pointing out that we had already paid but our drinks hadn't arrived yet. We felt that the organization was poorly organized and the management had deteriorated compared to the past. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience compared to how we remembered the place.

10/05/2026: I just went to Cortigiano for a coffee. I thought it was a classy place, but instead I found unprepared staff and above all, those who don't know the difference between casein allergy and lactose intolerance. It's absurd, given that they should have the knowledge and a certificate. But the most shameful scene is the PDP in which a chef turned to the pastry chef saying "move, aren't you talking to your friends? All this in front of customers, really, after the staff runs the place??? And surely if tasty desserts or dishes come out, it's thanks to the chef??? Absurd. They never went again. Highly not recommended, and above all, they didn't have a list of allergens and ingredients in sight of what they do as per HCCP regulations.

21/04/2026: Definitely busy based on their Spaghetti all'assassina basically fried spaghetti with a little heat (less than anticipated). Make sure to have a reservation. Wine is cheaper by quantify - order a litre. Other pasta is very flavourful.

15/04/2026: I came to this restaurant with one sole purpose: to eat the Spaghetti all'Assassina, which is why this restaurant is often mentioned. Well, I can only say that they are EXCEPTIONAL, truly a dish worthy of A+. I can only compliment the Chef for the mastery with which he brings this dish to life. If you come to Bari, "you knew..."

21/05/2026: I didn't like the panzerotti because they're small and the dough is thin, but they're easy to digest because they're not greasy. The panzerotti's seasoning isn't noticeable because the cured meats (e.g., salami and mortadella) are diced (except for the panzerotto with capocollo). Prices are reasonable (a panzerotto averages €3-4), except for the panzerotto with capocollo and stracciatella. The latter, ONLY because it was filled cold and served open, costs €8 (basically the same as a pizza). Service is poor because you can't afford to pay a €3 cover charge for: 1) the table is so close to the others that you can't move (we were in the outdoor dining area); 2) paper placemats like the ones in the cafeteria and napkin holders like the ones at the bar downstairs; 3) A waiter (a very young man who perhaps didn't want to work) first asked us what we'd ordered (is that our business?), then took away our dirty plates and cutlery but didn't give us clean cutlery for the other courses. Generally, the waiters were helpful but unsmiling. I usually check reviews and prices before choosing a place, but unfortunately this time I mistakenly followed other people's advice.
