20/09/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante domenica 15/9 io e mia moglie dopo aver visitato il Castello di Angera. Purtroppo non ci siamo trovati bene. Dopo avere ordinato il vino che non c'era x ben 2 volte, Abbiamo optato per una bottiglia della sicilia. Molto buona devo dire. Ci hanno chiesto 3 volte se volevamo dell'acqua e gentilmente abbiamo declinato con la promessa che se ci fosse venuta sete l'avremmo chiesta noi. Come primo il raviolo con pesce di lago. Fatto a mano sicuramente ma senza carattere e senza un pensiero dietro, con una salsa di pomodoro che spegneva i pochi sapori. Il fritto non era fatto male, ma erano quasi tutte verdure e pochissimo pesce; un errore o un piatto furbo? Mia moglie non è riuscita a mangiare le verdure grigliate in quanto le melanzane erano crude. La cameriera ci ha chiesto se non ci erano piaciute e abbiamo detto che non sapevamo se erano buone o no perché erano crude e quindi non mangiabili. Le abbiamo chiesto gentilmente di segnalarlo in cucina. Delusi dopo avere pranzato chiediamo il conto: dove abbiamo dovuto farci togliere l'acqua che non avevamo preso, e le verdure grigliate non ci erano state tolte. 113,00 euro. La prossima volta da quelle parti andremo a mangiarci una pizza. Peccato perché la location merita.

29/08/2024: The room had a wonderful view of the lake, was clean and very spacious. The bathroom was also large, bright and had many kits for any type of forgetfulness or emergency (for example the sewing kit or the one with toothbrush and dental floss). The room was also equipped with a TV with Sky services and air conditioning. We also had the opportunity to have dinner at this hotel using a previously purchased smartbox and were pleasantly surprised: the food was excellent especially the fish which we felt was fresh. The staff was welcoming, helpful and thanks to this we felt at home.

14/05/2025: Abbiamo scelto questa location per il nostro matrimonio che si terrà a luglio. Ci tenevo però a fare una prima recensione perché l’accoglienza che abbiamo avuto qui, non mi era mai capitata. Chi ci segue è Cristian, uno dei proprietari del posto. Di una gentilezza pazzesca, un ragazzo molto disponibile e paziente soprattutto. Ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. Abbiamo fatto la prova menu’..e posso soltanto dire che se quello è lo standard del giorno del matrimonio sono davvero in una botte di ferro. Eccezionale davvero tutto. E poi..un ringraziamento in anticipo anche per Besa (non so come si scrive, scusate), una ragazza formidabile che ci ha fatto cambiare idea sul colore del matrimonio, azzeccando esattamente quello che era il nostro colore , ma che noi non volevamo osare. E’ riuscita a rendere esattamente l’allestimento come ci piaceva a noi. Non posso che dare 5 stelle a queste persone, tutte strameritate. Io penso che di location belle in Italia ne abbiamo tantissime..ma chi le rende uniche sono le persone che ci troviamo dentro. Grazie per intanto al fantastico Cristian e Besa. Ci vediamo a luglio..

17/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato all'interno, ambiente carino con tavoli non troppo vicini,vista tetto in legno,come negli chalet di montagna.All'ingresso il personale dedicato ti accompagna al tuo tavolo e ti fa accomodare, dopo averti fornito velocemente il menù, raccoglie il tuo ordinativo e dopo 1 minuto arriva con offerta gratuita di un piccolo antipasto( fettina di melanzana in aceto con caprino) per ingannare l'attesa. Piatti buoni, quantità generosa, buon rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Attenzione del personale alta!! Quattro stelle solo perché è la prima volta che ci vado...verificheremo l' assiduità di quanto scritto...ma intanto...CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!

03/05/2025: Il Veliero – Castellanza: good food, welcoming atmosphere, but a few flaws to point out The Il Veliero Pizzeria Restaurant in Castellanza presents itself with a familiar, well-kept and pleasantly informal environment. The service is courteous and attentive, and the menu offers a good variety of dishes, including traditional and fish-based options. The first courses, in particular, are well executed and the fish is fresh and cooked with care. However, there are some notes for improvement. First of all, the pizza is not entirely convincing: thin and sometimes difficult to digest dough, unbalanced toppings and cooking that is not always uniform. It's not the house's strong point, and those looking for excellent pizza may be disappointed. Another important flaw concerns the prices, which appear slightly above average for the type of cuisine offered. The quality is good, but the value for money could be more balanced. During our visit, we also happened to be placed near a very noisy table, probably a group celebrating a birthday. It is understandable that there are customers who want to celebrate with enthusiasm, but it would be desirable, when possible, to differentiate the rooms: on the one hand those looking for a quiet meal and on the other those who are there for a more lively special occasion. This would improve the experience for everyone. In summary: Il Veliero is a pleasant restaurant, with honest cuisine and friendly service. Good for a dinner with friends or family, especially if you choose fish. However, we recommend that the management pay more attention to the organization of the spaces and the pricing policy, to offer an even more balanced and satisfying experience.

13/05/2025: excellent restaurant near Lake Comabbio. very clean, friendly service. preferably fish-based dishes. excellent raw appetizers, spaghetti with clams and fish main courses. very interesting and good homemade desserts. The ice cream made by them is excellent. good choice of wines

26/05/2025: I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and made with care. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly attentive and kind, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Mario, the owner, is always present and involved, making sure every guest is taken care of. You can really feel his passion for what he does, and it reflects in both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be coming back!

11/05/2025: Terrible experience – not recommended We went to this restaurant for lunch today, but unfortunately the experience was disastrous from every point of view. We arrived at 1.15pm and ordered immediately, but the first courses were only served at 3.10pm, almost two hours later. Among other things, one of the first courses (ordered regularly) was notified to us as unavailable only after two hours, by which time it was too late to change it without further waiting. Unacceptable. One of the dishes in question was a very simple pasta with tomato sauce for two boys aged 10 and 13, who had to wait an hour and a half for a very banal dish, a clear sign of total disorganization in the kitchen. We pointed out the enormous inconvenience, but we were answered with a laconic "we had internal problems". No gesture of courtesy, no discount, no real apology. Just a passive and indifferent attitude. Bottom line: very slow service, poor customer attention and no emergency management skills. A Sunday lunch transformed into an experience to forget. Not recommended.
