12/06/2026: I think it's the worst restaurant in the province of Varese. Catalan-style lobster served with giblets, and octopus with potatoes served with baked potatoes that are at least a day old. It should be on a list of nightmare kitchens and would definitely win. I won't say more.

10/06/2026: Yes, I can confirm what brought me there... Rumors from friends and acquaintances who spoke of a 40 euro tasting menu consisting of various good quality fish dishes and the availability of seconds, like an all you can eat... and then they are kind and helpful and the owner is really nice.

12/06/2026: A restaurant in the center of Gallarate, offering outdoor seating in the summer in a beautifully landscaped courtyard with background music. Attentive and friendly service. The dishes are carefully prepared and the portions are generous. The appetizers and pesto pasta are excellent; the seafood scialatielli were plentiful but not as tasty. During dinner, we saw some very tempting Florentine steaks being grilled in full view of the diners. We'll try them next time. Wide selection of wines. Prices are average for Gallarate.

06/06/2026: My partner and I came to Milan for a friend's wedding, and the groom booked us at this guesthouse. It wasn't the style I usually book, but what did I think? The building dates back to 1700 (don't worry, it's been renovated). The service is incredibly welcoming, and the food is like something a mother would make for her family—authentic, traditional Italian. If you can choose the suite, it's spectacular: about 70 square meters plus a terrace. It's five minutes from Malpensa Airport and five minutes from the train station, which takes you to the center of Milan in 30 minutes. It's infinitely cheaper than similar places in Milan. Michele and Rosa gave us fantastic service.

10/04/2026: Easter lunch: fast service and attentive waiters. The atmosphere is welcoming, but on Easter Sunday there are too many tables. The food is fresh and good. The only flaw was that the appetizer was served in small portions rather than as a single dish. We'll be back during the non-holiday period.

05/04/2026: Absurd! A terrible Easter lunch, the first time in my life I've eaten bresaola with artichokes (from a jar in oil) and packaged parmesan shavings. The first course from the appetizer menu should have been Culatello, but I found myself with coarsely chopped, very poor-quality raw ham, a gianchetti pizza (which disappeared) that was basically a burnt meatball, a battered zucchini flower similar to a Big Babool, octopus with artichokes (also in oil) that wasn't even drained, and the spring prawns...they tasted of tomato. Finally, a slice of salami was passed around in plain sight from one waiter to another in the middle of the dining room!!!! Not recommended for anyone looking for a decent meal!

02/01/2026: A strange experience. The place doesn't show off its character; upon arrival, the curtains were drawn, and we wondered if we were in the right place. There were only a few tables, and those at the head of the table were uncomfortable, given the large gaps in the shorter side of the designer table. They were the only customers that evening. The food was good, but if you know how to cook, you won't find anything exceptional. The wine list was "extensive," with very high prices. Coffee was served with "spoon" sugar. They made a mistake, putting salt instead of sugar (and that's understandable), but no apology, rather, it was almost as if we, the customers, were the ones bothering them with this complaint. The coffees were charged, and only one amaro was offered (a small quantity). The reservation, made through The Fork, was immediately cancelled upon our departure. I'm starting to suspect that the high number of positive reviews was manipulated in this way... (i.e., by cancelling the reservations of those who might have had something to say about them...)
