22/04/2026: I had a business lunch with a friend. It was really good and well-received. The price was definitely above average. On a negative note: I found the place through The Fork because I had a €15 discount coupon, but when it came time to pay, they didn't accept it... what a disappointment.

13/04/2026: A perfect stopover near Milan – warmth you can feel! After a very long drive from Germany, we just wanted to rest for a few hours before continuing our journey. Since booking online at short notice was difficult, I called the hotel directly. The owner himself – a very friendly and accommodating young man – took care of everything for us immediately. Our arrival at La Perla Rooms was absolutely seamless, efficient, and quick. The welcome with a complimentary espresso was particularly warm – just what we needed after the long drive! The entire team was so lovely that we also ate at the hotel restaurant that evening. A great decision: the food was amazing! Everything was fresh, quick, and prepared with great care (see photos). If I could give 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The entire staff always had a smile on their face. The location in Saronno is also ideal for travelers heading towards Milan. Keep up the great work, we'll definitely be back!

08/04/2026: I highly recommend the place. I hosted my parents there, and the rooms were very nice and new. In the evening, we had dinner in the restaurant, and the pizza was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. Plus, if you stay there, you get a 10% discount at the restaurant, which is definitely a treat.

02/05/2026: We stopped by at 8:00 PM. Nice place, There are four of us, We ordered two seafood pizzas. Two first courses: spaghetti with clams. Pizza: 5 (poor) Spaghetti: 5 (poor) Low quality, Service needs improvement. I doubt I'd go back...🙈🙈🙈

22/04/2026: Volo a Vela Restaurant is a place that focuses on substance. The cuisine is authentic, without too many frills, yet genuine and satisfying with bold flavors and generous portions. The pizzeria is also excellent, with well-made and tasty pizzas, perfect for a casual evening with friends or family. The real highlight, however, is the atmosphere: eating on the terrace is truly pleasant, with a relaxing view of the lake and the unique microlight runway that makes the experience even more unique. A big shout out to the legendary Mimmo, always a guarantee: top-notch hospitality, friendliness, and that energy that makes every evening even more enjoyable, eating with gusto and enjoying the moment.

24/11/2025: I went to Mimmo's for a Saturday night dinner and wanted to leave an honest but constructive review, because the pizzeria definitely has potential. Important premise: the timing probably didn't help. The place was really packed, with lots of people waiting outside, several birthday parties, and karaoke. The atmosphere was lively, but inevitably very loud and chaotic. The menu is extensive: so many options, congratulations on the variety. I contradict myself by saying that this can also be confusing; we personally had a really hard time deciding which pizza to order, so much so that we opted for the classic ones, just to avoid wasting too much time. 😅 It's clear that it's a beloved and very popular pizzeria. Aspects for improvement: - Long wait The pizzas arrived quite late, probably due to the huge turnout. I understand it's a Saturday night, but the wait was really long. - Too much noise Between karaoke, birthdays, and large tables, the noise level was very high and made it difficult to talk without shouting to people within a centimeter of each other. - Service was sometimes unwelcoming One of the waitresses who looked after us always seemed in a hurry and barely smiled. I understand the stress of Saturdays, but a little courtesy really makes a difference. - Burnt pizza My pizza was well cooked... perhaps too much. The crust and part of the bottom were burned, and this ruined the flavor a bit. I'll probably return on a quieter day to give it a second chance. The reviews are good and the place is very busy, so I'm sure the experience would be different in a less chaotic environment. My observations are intended as constructive feedback to further improve a place that many appreciate.

15/03/2026: Sunday family lunch This place was recommended to me, and I have to say I'm extremely satisfied. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, and the service is perfect; attentive to the customer's needs (they brought us the pizza already divided for the two diners who wanted to split it), fast, and with a friendly, unobtrusive approach. The pizzas are top-notch, and the oxtail stew is also remarkable. Congratulations, and we'll definitely be back.

30/03/2026: Excellent location, though small. Nicely decorated, comfortable seating. Excellent table setting and table service. The raw ham platter was beautiful but flavorless. The spaghetti with clams was forgettable, not because of the sand (there wasn't any) but because of the water in the dish and the tastelessness of the dish itself...a shame. However, we were guests, so I can't comment on the price.

30/04/2026: Business lunch with four colleagues (so we were in a bit of a rush). We waited almost half an hour for our first course, while the same dishes ordered by tables arriving after us were served. The food was pretty poor quality. The sausage risotto tasted boiled, and the meat in the second course was dry. The pizzas looked good, but I didn't try them personally. Not recommended.
