21/08/2025: Quiet restaurant offering quality products. The salads and spaghetti Bolognese were fine for us in terms of quantity. The prices are a little high, but like everywhere else in Portofino (€118 for 4 people, main course, dessert, and drinks). Very welcoming. The service was very good. There were 8 of us and 2 small dogs.

19/08/2025: Avoid. My partner and I went for lunch. Fish not fresh? The people to our left ordered the fried fish mix we wanted, but when they arrived, there was a strong, unpleasant odor. The neighbors saw our disgusted faces and said, "Do we agree that it stinks?" The waiter brought them a second one after they complained, but the bad smell was still there. This ruined my partner's appetite, so we avoided the fish and seafood dishes. We still ordered a plate of trofie with pesto and a plate of tomato and mozzarella because we were hungry. It was okay, but not worth the price, and we didn't really enjoy eating our meal given the smell in the neighbors' faces. Service needs to be improved. Another negative point: when it came time to pay, the server took my partner's credit card from the table to pay the €61 (which didn't work because for more than €50, he needed the PIN) instead of handing us the terminal. We asked to split it in half, and he kept the card to pay the €30 without showing the amount first. In short, avoid it; it's better to pay more for good food or go to a bakery.

14/08/2025: This is the perfect place to daydream. Reachable by ferry, on foot, or with your own boat, looking for passage from the mooring buoy to the beach, it's a destination that will fill your heart, stomach, and memory. Da Giovanni is a historic restaurant serving traditional Ligurian cuisine and the freshest seafood. I tried the shrimp spaghetti and their grilled fish and left the table feeling deeply satisfied. Excellent value for money, courteous service. The setting of San Fruttuoso is enchanting: a swim in the early morning light or at sunset is the best option, because the tourists who flock to this paradise are elsewhere. A visit to the abbey is worth it. You arrive and depart to the music of the waves. To maximize the experience, we stayed at Da Giovanni: new, comfortable rooms, equipped with a coffee machine, snacks, and water. For breakfast, you have to wait until 9:30 because croissants and fresh focaccia arrive on the first boat. Absolutely worth trying 🤩😎

25/08/2025: Dining at this restaurant was truly a pleasant surprise. The service was perfect: the owner was extremely kind and professional. The traditional Genoese dishes were well-prepared. Highly recommended.

20/08/2025: A rather dated restaurant that needs modernizing, as it's truly unwelcoming: we went on August 19th for lunch, and all the outdoor tables were piled up as if the place were closed, and there were still Christmas baubles on the shelves in the dining room. Even the owner seems fed up with this job: you can tell by the way he runs the business. The menus are old, dirty, and worn; the bar counter and the cash register at the entrance are a complete mess, even when I was there and the only customer. The water served at the table is bottled glass, filled by the restaurant, but from the taste, you'd think the filters hadn't been replaced in years. The food somewhat salvages the overall negative rating, serving decent dishes, though clearly 1980s-inspired. We ordered two appetizers recommended by the host: the dish of the day, octopus carpaccio on a bed of potatoes, and the "mosciame di tonno," a carpaccio of tuna steak preserved in salt, the old Ligurian way. The dishes were good, even if they were arranged in the same way, with the unusual final sprinkling of parsley. Then we ordered two first courses, which didn't convince us at all: spaghetti with clams and bottarga, which had a dark gray sauce on the bottom, with a rather bland flavor; and linguine with swordfish and arugula, where, however, the arugula was completely forgotten, with the usual gray sauce on the bottom of the plate. But what disappointed me most was discovering that the house white wine was "Marche" and not "Ligurian," truly embarrassing.

18/08/2025: If you love seafood, Ristorante Gino in Arenzano is highly recommended! For us, it's a must-visit when we're passing through Liguria: we've stopped here several times and have never been disappointed. Although the restaurant is located on the busy coastal road, its location is quite secluded and quiet enough: if you'd like to dine outside, the restaurant has a shaded outdoor area, protected by evergreen flowerbeds that muffle traffic noise and add to the ambiance. Furthermore, the outdoor area is divided into two sections: one side is the "trattoria" area (more rustic, with red and white checked tablecloths and a menu at trattoria prices) and the other side is the "restaurant" area (slightly more elegant, with white tablecloths and a more refined and delicious menu). The restaurant's interior is also charming and tastefully decorated. But what matters is the food, which is definitely top-notch and reasonably priced. Five stars, well deserved.

11/08/2025: Mediocre food. Poor staff, not exactly friendly. The outdoor terrace has no sign prohibiting smoking; the rude and impolite owner came to tell us to move out of the restaurant because we were smoking. Not recommended, even for families.

11/07/2025: Siamo tornati quattro mesi dopo un’ottima cena. Che delusione! Cosa è successo? Antipasto di tonno crudo minimale (50 g al massimo), poi orata al sale per due (circa 700 grammi al modico costo di 80€) di sapore salmastro, per finire dolcetti di modesta fattura. Una bottiglia di vino da 40€ che su internet si compra per 15€. Insomma circa 210€ per mangiar male. Cosa resta di positivo? La splendida vista sul golfo e su tutto Il ponente ligure. Amen.

22/05/2025: Casi siempre marcamos la opción "Vista Escénica" en los filtros TA, pero se nos permitió elegir durante nuestra visita a la ciudad costera de Camogli, Italia. A menudo nos preocupamos un poco por los restaurantes basados en hoteles que tememos que hayan terminado, con un precio que cubre sus gastos generales extensos, pero Il Doge valió la pena la pequeña prima. Los langostinos a la parrilla eran algunos de los mejores que habíamos probado - condimento encantador, cáscara principal cortésmente quitado, cocinado justo para estar tierno y jugoso. Tenía la pasta de mariscos que era delicioso. Una ventaja adicional era que su terraza tenía toldos y el clima pronosticaba algunas duchas que pasaban por allí. Así que pudimos sentarnos bajo su protección y disfrutar de nuestras vistas panorámicas a pesar de un toque de inclemencias del tiempo.

12/05/2025: Locale accogliente dotato sia di sala interna che di giardino. Personale cortese ed attento, pronto a spiegare la struttura del piatto. Pane e pasta sono fatti in casa. Servizio veloce e preciso Davvero eccellenti i ravioli ripieni di pesce con pomodorini e scampetti. La spinta del limone si sente e rende il piatto fresco e bilanciato. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo

21/08/2025: What can I say... a wonderful experience! We chose this place for my birthday dinner. Every detail was taken care of, from the table settings to the service, which was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. The dishes were all excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and the execution of a small birthday cake. They were happy to accommodate every request (even to prepare a risotto for just one person). The location and the view were a real plus. Highly recommended.

03/08/2025: A huge disappointment. The menu, priced between €135 and €180 per person, suggests a true gastronomic experience—unfortunately, this isn't the case. If you have a minimally discerning palate, you'll quickly realize that everything here is about appearances without delivering the quality behind it. The flavor combinations are often shaky, lacking in finesse, and sometimes downright bad. It's a far cry from what you'd expect from an establishment billed as gourmet. The first small restaurant in the area does much better, for a fraction of the price. None of the dishes stood out, and some were bordering on boring, even subpar. The service, however, was adequate—professional without being exceptional. In short, avoid.

03/08/2025: Lie! All the comments that praise this restaurant are all false! The food was really not good, the fish and seafood may be fresh but not well cooked. For my part, it is really to be avoided!!

02/08/2025: Very cozy place in an alley. The staff were so cute and happy. And the food was absolutely fantastic. Try the rabbit, it was so good and the walnut pasta is recommended too

19/07/2025: Ci siamo fermate a pranzo, tornate dal mare, abbiamo mangiato davvero bene (i primi poi top). Il servizio è stato cortese, educato e gentile. C’era rimasto impresso perché, qualche anno prima, avevamo cenato da loro, quindi abbiamo pensato di fermarci a pranzo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

11/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo caratteristico ristorante del porto incastonato nel tufo di Ventotene. Ad accoglierci un cameriere davvero gentilissimo, attento e carino per tutta la cena. Io ho preso una tartare di tonno davvero deliziosa, tonno ottimo si scioglieva in bocca. Anche gli altri antipasti (impepata) molto buoni. Abbiamo preso in 3 persone 3 primi diversi da pessimi clienti ma abbiamo provato 3 piatti davvero ottimi. Il mio, spaghetti con gambero crudo al profumo di limone, era davvero eccezionale, fresco, saporito, ottimamente legato. Pasta con le vongole non presente nel menù ma gentilmente preparata comunque per mio figlio era decisamente la migliore provata sull'isola. L' altro primo paccheri con totano delizioso come il resto. Prezzi in linea con l' isola ma adeguati a quello che abbiamo mangiato. Torneremo sicuramente

02/07/2025: I spent 5 days in this hotel with my daughter, everything was perfect: cleanliness, room, delicious food, friendly staff, excellent location close to the sea, the center and the station. The girls serving in the room were delightful (the blonde girl and the black girl, and Greta, the only one whose name I asked, angels with my little girl). 21/06/2025: Very friendly and helpful staff. They were so happy to chat and recommend places to visit. Even had a couple bikes for us to use to explore the area. I would like to say a BIG thank you to the cleaners - it is sooo nice to come back to a hotel room that is incredibly clean and comfy every day. Thanks to the staff. We loved our stay so much we booked an extra night at the end!

07/08/2025: La location è magnifica e suggestiva. Dall’arrivo in barca a tutto il resto. Ma una struttura del genere non può e non deve “impedire” di offrire una vacanza romantica a due persone alle quali non piace il pesce. Stella Maris non è uno dei tanti ristoranti che si trovano nelle vie di una località turistica, dove chi vi soggiorna può scegliere, appunto, uno dei tanti. Stella Maris è unico nel suo genere. Basta vedere le immagini. Si trova su promontorio con bella panoramica sulla baia. È proprio per questa sua “unicità” non può continuare ad essere così limitativo sotto il profilo culinario. La cucina ligure e mediterranea non è solo pesce. Molti sono i piatti di qualità che offre. Ho dato solo due stelle per “premiare” la location, che sicuramente merita e ne avrei date cinque se il resort desse a tutti, ma proprio tutti, la possibilità di trascorrere una magnifica vacanza e non rinunciarvi solo perché non ama il pesce. Credo che nel 2025, occorra allargare gli orizzonti, per non tutte le persone sono uguali e tantomeno sono uguali i gusti di tutte le persone. Meditate.

20/08/2025: We came to the restaurant because it was raining and we were looking for a place to eat.We sat down and ordered our food and we liked the fact that it was brought out fast.We didn’t like the server,because he was rude and kept interrupting us when we asked him questions.When the rain intensified we were asked to leave because they said they had to gather the tables that were placed outside even though we weren’t finished with our drinks and the rain wasn’t pouring on our table.The server even made a “joke” and said “if you want to take a bath in the rain you can stay” or something like that.They were rude and impolite.We don’t recommend this restaurant if you want to have a nice experience in italy.Cant wait for your reply 😘

14/08/2025: Not at all. The food is oversalted, everything is tasteless. It is difficult to spoil pasta and pizza in Italy, but here they managed. 06/08/2025: In truth, a gem of incompetence, unheard of in 10 years in Italy. Tourist trap menu with mini spritzes for 4 euros. The real thing is 8 euros for those patient enough to wait at least 20 minutes. Incomprehensible since it was 12:30 p.m., we were the only customers. A spritz and a coke, the coke served within a minute, and the rest was a complete waste. Just in case the owner is reading, it's better when everyone (two people is fine) is served at the same time. I inform the waitress that we're leaving, and she asks if I'd like another one. Anyway. A bar that reflects its city.
