09/04/2026: Da Laura was a cute pit stop while visiting the area. Our friends told us about it to try the pesto lasagna.
The food was all good. We got the pesto dish and the mixed seafood appetizer. Portions were small, so we ended up ordering more than we would typically for our group.
It’s kinda a tourist trap, but one that isn’t totally awful.
Location is tucked away. Serene ambiance but not much of a view.
Service was quick and attentive.
They take a lot of pride in the work, we didn’t start eating right away and the owner came and encourage us to start eating because it would be good if it was cold - I was waiting for my wife to return from the WC before commencing.

24/12/2025: Definitely the best fried food in Camogli, and maybe even in Liguria. The staff is friendly and patient. Alessio, one of the two owners, is incredibly friendly and always smiling. If you're passing through Camogli, you can't miss it.

01/09/2025: We arrived at 12:15 just to be told they open at 12:30, not being offered to look at the menu in the meantime or to sit down somewhere to wait (it was empty). The place is obviously charming, food was ok, very small portions for the price but ok given the location, however the coperto 5€ per person sounds like a scam for a simple trattoria without even proper tablecloths…not to mention there is lots of room for improvement in the service and the welcome.
24/08/2025: I'd like to give it 100 stars, but I can't! Last night I had dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary, and thanks to the wonderful evening, the location, and the dinner, we had a wonderful evening! Excellent food and wine, very fresh fish, and friendly staff. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews that kept us from booking! Some people should do what they know how to do, not keyboard food critics, who probably don't know how to cook a hard-boiled egg! Thank you so much to the owner and our waiter for their kindness! Keep up the good work! We'll definitely be back. Paola and Giovanni Caffarena

09/11/2025: We reached the resort on foot, a walk of about 40 minutes facilitated by steps and ramps. It's worth trying at least once.
Sleeping surrounded by nature and silence, a rare privilege these days.

24/10/2025: The place is heavenly, the view and location are priceless. I'll start with this because I absolutely fell in love with it. Unfortunately, the hotel experience wasn't.
The overall neglect of the place, with frayed curtains and crooked rods, slightly warped fake parquet floors, a plastic shower curtain, and questionable cleanliness.
Given the difficulty in reaching the property (about 3 km of wonderful but not "easy" trail) with hundreds of steps and dirt roads, you're forced to dine in their restaurant, a room with a breathtaking view.
There's a catch... the photos of the dishes published on the website don't reflect reality at all. We spent €100 for two people for a second course consisting of half a thin slice of swordfish, cooked to a slightly boiled effect, tossed on a base of bagged salad (a mix of radicchio and greens, very little), €27, along with two grilled eggplant and zucchini wafers. A cover charge of €7.50 each for pre-cooked sandwiches, half a liter of house wine (€15), a dessert such as Bindi, and a bitter liqueur.
The red tablecloth was made of synthetic, non-iron material and wrinkled.
In a place like this, I can pay even more for dinner, but everything has to be up to par.
The same goes for breakfast, everything was defrosted and the cake was always packaged—€12 each.
For a medium-sized dog, we paid €25 more (it was €35, which was a special price for us) than the price of the room booked through Booking.com, without having any utensils (a mat/bowl).
As we very politely, merely as a suggestion, told the owner, simply charging high prices isn't enough to elevate the quality of the establishment; the factors that lead to that goal are multiple and interconnected. The exchange of opinions wasn't entirely pleasant, and the somewhat arrogant attitude and responses are what made me decide to write this negative review, something I never do.
Advice: if you ever decide to go, don't bring a trolley, but a backpack.

10/04/2026: We had lunch at "La Cantina," and
unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences in recent memory.
The food was terrible. Everything was of extremely poor quality, flavorless, and clearly
carelessly prepared.
The staff was rude from start to finish (when booking).
The only positive thing is the sea view, which is truly beautiful. However, to enjoy the same view (or even better), just cross the beach and go to the other side, where there are several restaurants.
In short: if you want to waste time and money on a mediocre meal and unpleasant service, La Cantina is the place to go.
Otherwise, I highly recommend choosing one of the restaurants on the other side of the beach.
It's worth it.
I will never go back.
07/04/2026: I arrive in San Fruttuoso by dinghy with friends and, in the absence of buoys serving boats, I dock the dinghy in the small marina in the eastern bay, intent on disembarking to eat at La Cantina.
After completing the docking procedures, I'm verbally assaulted by a young man who boasts about the La Cantina restaurant and rudely reminds me that I can't dock there, acting as deputy for the person who regulates mooring in that marina on a gray day with very little tourist traffic.
He reminds me that the restaurant's buoys cost 50 euros without a shuttle service to the restaurant.
It's a good caricature of what is jokingly called "typical Ligurian hospitality."
Reading the other comments, I certainly don't regret the dishes, even if I haven't tried them, and I'll have even less regrets about the service, since a welcome like this has made me want to return.

11/07/2025: Siamo tornati quattro mesi dopo un’ottima cena. Che delusione! Cosa è successo? Antipasto di tonno crudo minimale (50 g al massimo), poi orata al sale per due (circa 700 grammi al modico costo di 80€) di sapore salmastro, per finire dolcetti di modesta fattura. Una bottiglia di vino da 40€ che su internet si compra per 15€. Insomma circa 210€ per mangiar male. Cosa resta di positivo? La splendida vista sul golfo e su tutto

22/05/2025: Casi siempre marcamos la opción "Vista Escénica" en los filtros TA, pero se nos permitió elegir durante nuestra visita a la ciudad costera de Camogli, Italia. A menudo nos preocupamos un poco por los restaurantes basados en hoteles que tememos que hayan terminado, con un precio que cubre sus gastos generales extensos, pero Il Doge valió la pena la pequeña prima.
Los langostinos a la parrilla eran algunos de los mejores que habíamos probado - condimento encantador, cáscara principal cortésmente quitado, cocinado justo para estar tierno y jugoso. Tenía la pasta de mariscos que era delicioso.
Una ventaja adicional era que su terraza tenía toldos y el clima pronosticaba algunas duchas que pasaban por allí. Así que pudimos sentarnos bajo su protección y disfrutar de nuestras vistas panorámicas a pesar de un toque de inclemencias del tiempo.

05/09/2024: Vinimos aquí en barco y la vista es la razón por la que voy a volver a este lugar. La comida era buena y el pescado recién salido del mar. Menú poco limitado y un poco caro para el tipo de lugar, pero muy buena calidad del producto. Si te gusta el pescado deiinerely vale la pena probar.

12/05/2025: Se ci fosse stata una possibilita' di selezionare ZERO stelle l'avrei fatto. Scena : il giorno precedente chiedo a che ora sarebbe stato aperto il bar. "9.30" mi dicono. Bene. 9.30 puntuale arrivo. 5 persone stanno preparando il locale. Un paio stanno pulendo le sedie e mi dicono "Ha bisogno?". Chiedo caffe' e qualcosa da mangiare e mi rispondono che la macchina non e' ancora accesa...Alle 10 riesco a prendere caffe' e focaccia ( i croissants non li hanno ... ). Nota : a quell'ora ero l'unico cliente, visto che ero uno dei pochi ad aver pernottato a San Fruttuoso. Non e' la prima volta che in Liguria mi capita di incontrare persone respingenti, ma la signora che penso gestisca il locale e' proprio da podio. Spiace che un territorio cosi' bello come la Liguria abbia persone cosi' inospitali e maleducate come mediamente sono i liguri.
L'unica fortuna loro e' di avere alle spalle Piemonte e Lombardia.

Ben 6 € per 2 caffè neanche buoni.
Sconsigliato visto il ristorante vicino con il prezzo di 1,5€ a caffè
