31/03/2026: We were especially disappointed with the service. The things we didn't like: the restaurant was a bit cold. We ordered pasta with wild boar, and it had no smell or taste whatsoever. We thought it tasted like the muscle used to make broth. The wild boar, although purged, was clearly wild boar. The grated cheese, once stirred a bit in the bowl, showed some mold, and when we pointed this out, the lady tried to argue in vain, even saying she'd bring back some cheese, but that didn't happen—so much the better! Along with the fried potatoes, there was supposed to be a cutlet, but 15-20 minutes after the potatoes arrived and the other main course had already been finished, the lady asked us if everything was okay. At that point, we assumed the order was complete. We mentioned the cutlet, and to defuse the situation, she replied without apology, "I'm going to kill him." The positive things were a good pesto, the fresh homemade pasta, the potatoes and the cutlet which, although long to wait, was really good and also the simple tartare.
03/03/2026: Two excellent dinners in 10 days. I returned years after my son's confirmation, and I must say the quality and quantity of the dishes are always exceptional. Francesca and Francesco are unique in name and in nature!

07/12/2025: I visited Trattoria Barisone after the recent change of management and was thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming, with attention to detail, and from the first moment you can sense the new energy and attention to detail. I started with ravioli al tocco, which released an incredibly inviting aroma: a rich, enveloping dish with a simply divine flavor. Next came a delicate swordfish carpaccio, incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, perfect in its elegant simplicity. All this was accompanied by an excellent Lagrein, which perfectly rounded out the experience. The quality of the cuisine, combined with the kindness and professionalism of the service, makes the new management a true revelation. Trattoria Barisone is back, better than ever: highly recommended!

10/04/2026: We had lunch at "La Cantina," and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences in recent memory. The food was terrible. Everything was of extremely poor quality, flavorless, and clearly carelessly prepared. The staff was rude from start to finish (when booking). The only positive thing is the sea view, which is truly beautiful. However, to enjoy the same view (or even better), just cross the beach and go to the other side, where there are several restaurants. In short: if you want to waste time and money on a mediocre meal and unpleasant service, La Cantina is the place to go. Otherwise, I highly recommend choosing one of the restaurants on the other side of the beach. It's worth it. I will never go back.
07/04/2026: I arrive in San Fruttuoso by dinghy with friends and, in the absence of buoys serving boats, I dock the dinghy in the small marina in the eastern bay, intent on disembarking to eat at La Cantina. After completing the docking procedures, I'm verbally assaulted by a young man who boasts about the La Cantina restaurant and rudely reminds me that I can't dock there, acting as deputy for the person who regulates mooring in that marina on a gray day with very little tourist traffic. He reminds me that the restaurant's buoys cost 50 euros without a shuttle service to the restaurant. It's a good caricature of what is jokingly called "typical Ligurian hospitality." Reading the other comments, I certainly don't regret the dishes, even if I haven't tried them, and I'll have even less regrets about the service, since a welcome like this has made me want to return.
