19/05/2025: Siamo ritornati a distanza di qualche anno e abbiamo ritrovato piacevolmente la stessa qualità e cortesia. Locale elegante con cucina piuttosto raffinata e ricercata, piatti non convenzionali con gusti davvero speciali. Ogni portata è una piacevole sensazione, crema di zucca con calamaro croccante davvero fantastica! Luogo assolutamente consigliato magari per festeggiare una ricorrenza e andare sul sicuro perché mangerete senza dubbio alla grande. Personale estremamente preparato, location top, del resto siete a Boccadasse, non serve dire nulla. Conto giusto per la qualità generale!

16/05/2025: Personale gentile e servizio veloce. Il pesce è di ottima qualità. Le porzioni soprattutto dei secondi un po’ troppo piccole ( il trancio di ombrina seppur squisito erano 3 bocconi). Nel complesso sia stati bene, piazzetta molto tranquilla a pochi metri dal mare, in considerazione del conto vorresti mangiare un pochino di più .

18/01/2026: We were there last night and today we are both very sick. The pizza was disgusting and smelled so bad that we had to leave half of it. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and we both suffered food poisoning. Avoid.

13/02/2026: I always love my experience at Bowl! on Via Cesarea — a fresh and flavourful find in Genova. The concept of building your own bowl with a wide variety of quality ingredients makes every meal feel personal and exciting. The ingredients are vibrant, well‑balanced, and clearly fresh, and the staff are friendly, fast, and happy to help with suggestions. I especially appreciated how easy it was to customize my bowl just the way I wanted it, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy. With fair prices and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a great spot whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or dinner.

20/10/2025: We went for lunch on Sunday, cover charge for 2 adults and a child was €9!!!! Small portions and the bill was incredibly high. €7 each was absolutely insane 😱😱😱😱, not even a single euro off. We'll never go back again...

26/07/2025: Cené en Angolo 48 recientemente y tuve sentimientos encontrados sobre la experiencia. La comida era buena, con sabores decentes, pero el tamaño de las porciones era decepcionantemente pequeño para el precio. Lamentablemente, el personal fue bastante antipático, lo que restó valor a la experiencia general. Si bien el qual ITy de los platos era sólido, las porciones pequeñas y el mal servicio hacen que sea difícil de recomendar.

26/07/2025: Con mia moglie siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante di cucina tipica ligure elegante raffinato ubicato in pieno centro a Santa Margherita Ligure nella zona pedonale. Ci siamo accomodati in uno dei vari tavoli all’aperto con vista sulla via e ci sono anche tavoli interni. Abbiamo ordinato come antipasti: una insalata caprese con mozzarella di bufala dop pomodoro perle di basilico e verdure grigliate Come secondi abbiamo optato per il pesce con dei calamari fritti ed una orata alla ligure. Ottimo il pane portato a tavola. Ottima la qualità degli antipasti e del pesce porzioni giuste squsito. Personale accogliehte sorridente competente cordiale e disponibile. Servizio attentissimo e veloce e prezzi cari ma giusti per la qualità dei piatti. My wife and I had dinner at this elegant and refined restaurant serving traditional Ligurian cuisine, located in the pedestrian area of Santa Margherita Ligure. We sat at one of the several outdoor tables overlooking the street, and there are also indoor tables. For appetizers, we ordered: a Caprese salad with DOP buffalo mozzarella, tomato, basil pearls and grilled vegetables. For main courses, we opted for fish with fried calamari and Ligurian-style sea bream. The bread served was excellent. The quality of the appetizers was excellent, and the fish was delicious, with generous portions. The staff was welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly, and helpful. The service was very attentive and fast, and the prices were expensive but fair for the quality of the dishes.

09/11/2025: We reached the resort on foot, a walk of about 40 minutes facilitated by steps and ramps. It's worth trying at least once. Sleeping surrounded by nature and silence, a rare privilege these days. Highly recommended!

24/10/2025: The place is heavenly, the view and location are priceless. I'll start with this because I absolutely fell in love with it. Unfortunately, the hotel experience wasn't. The overall neglect of the place, with frayed curtains and crooked rods, slightly warped fake parquet floors, a plastic shower curtain, and questionable cleanliness. Given the difficulty in reaching the property (about 3 km of wonderful but not "easy" trail) with hundreds of steps and dirt roads, you're forced to dine in their restaurant, a room with a breathtaking view. There's a catch... the photos of the dishes published on the website don't reflect reality at all. We spent €100 for two people for a second course consisting of half a thin slice of swordfish, cooked to a slightly boiled effect, tossed on a base of bagged salad (a mix of radicchio and greens, very little), €27, along with two grilled eggplant and zucchini wafers. A cover charge of €7.50 each for pre-cooked sandwiches, half a liter of house wine (€15), a dessert such as Bindi, and a bitter liqueur. The red tablecloth was made of synthetic, non-iron material and wrinkled. In a place like this, I can pay even more for dinner, but everything has to be up to par. The same goes for breakfast, everything was defrosted and the cake was always packaged—€12 each. For a medium-sized dog, we paid €25 more (it was €35, which was a special price for us) than the price of the room booked through Booking.com, without having any utensils (a mat/bowl). As we very politely, merely as a suggestion, told the owner, simply charging high prices isn't enough to elevate the quality of the establishment; the factors that lead to that goal are multiple and interconnected. The exchange of opinions wasn't entirely pleasant, and the somewhat arrogant attitude and responses are what made me decide to write this negative review, something I never do. Advice: if you ever decide to go, don't bring a trolley, but a backpack.

06/02/2026: This restaurant enjoys a stunning location on Portofino's main square. Excellent food and service. If we return to Portofino or the surrounding area, we'll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

02/02/2026: On a beautiful Sunday in January, we had lunch at this fantastic restaurant in the Piazzetta area overlooking the marina. We ate deliciously; the fish was incredibly fresh, and the octopus was buttery. The staff were friendly and polite. The prices were in line with other restaurants in Portofino. Highly recommended.

20/10/2025: Update Google Maps, because after parking and arriving in front of the restaurant, in the rain with a one-year-old child, and finding it closed... it's inconceivable!

13/10/2025: Everything was delicious, from the farinata to the dessert, the staff were very kind, I will definitely be back.

08/12/2025: Even though the place no longer seems "in its prime," it appears to be kept clean and tidy. I had the shrimp carbonara followed by the grilled tuna, and I found both dishes well-made and adequately generous. The wine, a Vermentino by the glass recommended by the staff, didn't particularly stand out compared to others we'd tried in the area.

05/10/2025: Terrible experience! We dined here with 12 people, and when it came time to take our orders, the waiter became annoyed because one of our guests ordered a first course before the appetizer. He showed us the order pad, asking where he should write the appetizer, since the first line was already taken up by spaghetti with clams. Result: the appetizer wasn't ordered. We then ordered gnocchi with Fassona ragù, and they got tomato gnocchi, and instead of the lemon scallops, we got chicken breast with potatoes. We then asked for three glasses of Vermentino, and the waiter replied that he would bring us a bottle of local wine. Only after we further insisted did we get the three glasses of wine. When it came time to order coffees, the waiter again became annoyed when we ordered a caffè macchiato, replying that that wasn't a real coffee, and even worse if ordered with hot milk. The icing on the cake when it came to paying the bill: we were told that only one of us would pay €538 (!!), or at most we could split the amount between those paying (when among us were both families of four and singles). The only thing we were told was, "I can't waste time splitting the bill." Only after we strongly protested did the annoyed waiter finally decide to split the bill equally. The disastrous outcome of the evening was probably also our fault; we should have realized there was definitely a reason the place was almost completely empty.

16/01/2026: It would have been nice, but… IT'S A SHAME THAT EVEN THOUGH WE RESERVED WITH THE FORK, THE PLACE IS CLOSED!

07/12/2025: I visited Trattoria Barisone after the recent change of management and was thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming, with attention to detail, and from the first moment you can sense the new energy and attention to detail. I started with ravioli al tocco, which released an incredibly inviting aroma: a rich, enveloping dish with a simply divine flavor. Next came a delicate swordfish carpaccio, incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, perfect in its elegant simplicity. All this was accompanied by an excellent Lagrein, which perfectly rounded out the experience. The quality of the cuisine, combined with the kindness and professionalism of the service, makes the new management a true revelation. Trattoria Barisone is back, better than ever: highly recommended!
