08/03/2026: Good morning, I'm very sorry to give an overall negative review of a renowned restaurant I've frequented over the years, but I've noticed a marked decline, especially in attendance, which is reflected in the atmosphere during dinner. The table service is impeccable, but we were directed to the back room, where the crowd was unpleasant, as if we'd been judged to be of the same standard. Then another table was occupied by people who were again unsuitable for the environment. The food was obviously good, but not up to expectations. I'd like to revise a few things.

25/02/2026: Quiet restaurant in a residential neighborhood,mostly local crowd. Not a touristy place, go there if you are looking for upscale, good quality food. Simple ambiance but excellent friendly service, English spoken. Assortment of freshly caught seafood and fish. Delicious food and out do this world dessert. Not cheap but worth it!

05/04/2026: Stopped by Sciarra Ristorante Pizzeria after a long day walking around, and it turned out to be a really good choice. The location is super convenient, especially if you’re visiting the nearby attractions. The place has a relaxed, casual vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable. The pizza was very tasty with a nice thin crust, and the pasta was fresh and full of flavor. Service was friendly and quick, even though it was quite busy. Prices are reasonable for the area, which is always a plus in Rome. Overall, a solid spot if you’re looking for good food without overcomplicating things. Would definitely come back.

When a complaint is made, the waiters try to intimidate the customer instead of solving the problem. This is not fine dining — it's pure arrogance without substance. A restaurant like this deserves zero for service. The owners are rude, dismissive, and completely unfit to run a hospitality business. Worst restaurant experience in Rome. If you want to eat good fish, go to Pierluigi or Assunta Madre. Avoid Il San Lorenzo — even for free. A place that honestly should be shut down Il San Lorenzo – Shameful Service Despite the food quality being just okay, the service is simply awful. 25/03/2026: We had dinner for the first time at this unfamiliar restaurant, which we chose because it was close to home. The place was pleasant and well-decorated. Good food and good service, but it was a shame the place was too crowded, mostly caused by the customers. We were pleasantly surprised. Prices, in our opinion, were a little lower than other similar places. We will definitely be back, and we'll be happy to. Congratulations to all the staff.

12/04/2026: I had lunch at Oltremare in Fiumicino and it was a truly excellent experience. We started with fried calamari, crispy and light, truly well-prepared. Next came gnocchi with tuna ragù and tonnarelli with seafood: incredibly fresh dishes, rich in flavor, and prepared with great care. The tiramisu was also delicious, creamy, and perfectly balanced. A special mention goes to the owner, Paolo, who came to our table to greet us with great kindness, making us feel truly welcomed. Attentive service, a pleasant atmosphere, and quality cuisine: highly recommended!

26/09/2025: We tried the restaurant, staying at the hotel, with the à la carte menu. The view is the most beautiful on Ponza, a marvelous terrace overlooking Chiaia di Luna beach. The menu is different for lunch and dinner, both satisfying. The prices are obviously high, but for the location and the quality, they're justified. The service is perfect, very professional. For dinner, we tried the fried calamari and grilled calamari on a potato cake, both excellent. The salad was also a surprise. The dessert was a bit disappointing. For lunch, the spaghetti with clams and bottarga was excellent. And so was the seafood salad. A feast for the eyes and the palate.

20/09/2025: Let me start by saying that I'm not interested in denigrating anyone, but rather in encouraging improvement. I'm giving it two stars because you expect more from a four-star hotel restaurant. The location isn't enough—it's very beautiful, and the ambiance is also very good—but the rest is needed. The service could be improved, especially regarding the cutlery arrangement and maintaining the same non-standard servings for two people. Then there's the food. A dish that "ran out" at 8:30 PM should be removed from the menu, and you shouldn't wait to be asked to tell us so. We ordered two first courses, which, based on their names, raised certain expectations, but the flavors were very distant and basic (the base was tomato, and that was basically all we could taste). Then there was the fried fish, which left us unsure about the freshness of the fish, but that's an unprovable feeling. Then there was the side salad (mixed salad with citrus and dried fruit) that tasted like coarsely chopped, bagged salad from the supermarket. With water and a half bottle of white wine, we paid over €100 for two. Now, if you want to stay in that price range you have to raise the quality bar!
