21/09/2024: Factory on the shores of Lake Bolsena not far from the town. We were two families with 3 children, 2 of which were under three years old. Beautiful well-kept lawn with regular ground (they don't even let towels be laid out on the ground to preserve the grass), beach-style umbrellas and sunbeds. The entrance into the water is characterized by large stones but on the left, near the pier, there is a strip of sand to enter without problems, clean water even in the afternoon, the best stretch of the lake still remains the Bolsena Montefiascone Marta Capodimonte side both for water cleaning and landscaping. The catering part can be improved: you have to order at the bar from the relevant menu indicating the table number and take a drink, then the waiter will bring the ordered food, which is very good, to the table. Unfortunately it is not written anywhere and, at least to us, no one has told us.

15/12/2024: Go eat there, it’s really good. We tasted the carbonara pasta as everyone said that it was very good: I confirm to take it without hesitation. The recommendation for a glass of red wine was also very good. The desserts ditto at the top. The servers were attentive and very friendly and spoke French. My advice is to eat there, you won't be disappointed.

07/12/2024: Nice place, well furnished and with a nice outdoor area, a little out of the way, discovered by chance, very kind and efficient waitress. Good choice of dishes, typical Roman and Sicilian cuisine. We ordered a fresh artichoke salad with Taggiasca olives and parmesan flakes, Roman-style artichokes with crusty bread and oil, focaccia and sautéed chicory. Everything very fresh and delicious. The artichoke salad cost 17 euros but it was worth it. A little more expensive than average but definitely superior quality. Bathrooms spotless. Advised.

22/12/2024: The fish is excellent and cooked very well as always but compared to the past (I was a customer and have been here many other times) it seemed to me that they have reduced the portions and increased the prices. We took two first courses (gnocchi and tonnarelli) which seemed like half portions. At a cost of 18/20 euros it is truly disproportionate. I have photos of the same dishes I took for a dinner in 2021 and they were double the size... we also had an excellent mixed fry. total 75 euros for two first courses, a second course divided into two and a glass of wine and a water.

01/12/2024: We recently had dinner at this restaurant, we went there because I had heard good things about it. We got three first courses and three second courses. The first courses compared to what we saw brought to the others were smaller portions and among other things mine was even less than that taken by the others (one of the two had taken the same dish as mine) and if the portions are weighed they do not it should be like this... above 20 euros per dish, but with the tuna steak 24 euros per dish 80/100 grams if it was the otoro I could have fit but it was a normal quality. We made a note to the waiter as soon as the dishes arrived which he denied, laughing in our faces several times, he made a scene of going to the kitchen to come back and repeat the same things, always laughing in our faces that the portions were standard but I assure you that this was not the case because three of us noticed this and saw the portion brought to the next table. It was a targeted choice and we made sure of this based on what we had seen before ordering the second one given that the first one was small. VERY BAD I HAD NEVER HAPPENED TO A WAITER LAUGHING IN MY FACE LIKE THAT (AND SEVERAL TIMES) I HAD TO GET UP AND LEAVE. After tasting the cut, we ordered a chewy fried calamari (one of the worst I've eaten) which was always a small portion. If you charge 23/24 euros for a fried dish, you can't show up with such a small portion of calamari. Unfortunately, after the notes made, it was offered to us together with the bitters, which is why I gave it two stars. Respect and education is the first thing. Never again. PS I smile at the offensive response (but they have never disrespected the customers) of the owner who didn't see the various skits as if I had invented it who was laughed in our faces several times... What do you call it? Education? Between 100 grams and 200 grams of cut, even a non-expert person would notice this... or even someone who needs eye maintenance as you say. You tried and he told you wrong. Bathe in humility and education. We followed his suggestion and we reflected extensively that 50 euros for a first and second course of those portions in our opinion should get the Michelin star so as to avoid criticism.

09/11/2024: We stopped on our way to Florence, it was a peaceful warm place where we had our beer, great cabernet savignon and prosecco and swam in the beatiful sea❤️:) it was one of the best water I have ever swam in 💕. the fried calamari was good, but we didnt like the fish dish with patatoe cream ; we could not eat it- the fish smelled like soap detergent for some reason. We are from mediterrenean and the fish was not delicious. But the whole beach experience and the staff were amazing🙏🏻thank youuu. Good place for drinks and swimming.

09/12/2024: Typical trattoria with beautiful, very pleasant rustic masonry rooms. Excellent food. Fried sage and borage appetizer with truly delicious tatziki sauce. Those who like eel will find the ideal place here. I had the ravioli with stracchino seasoned with truffle and pecorino di fossa... truly incredible, one of the dishes I have always liked the most. Balanced and tasty. Compliments. Highly recommended.

20/12/2024: We went in October for my father's birthday... What can I say: everything was excellent... Stunning location right in the center of the town with a spectacular view of the valley. Quality fresh fish and generous portions.. We started with a seafood appetizer, fusilli alla reef (there was so much fish that you couldn't see the pasta), sea bream in a crust with prawns.. Sweet fruit (spectacular thousand leaves)... Competent and attentive staff. Reserved parking. Excellent value for money

22/11/2024: Dishes cooked with real passion, excellent quality of fish, very generous portions, dry and crunchy fried and perfect raw and well served. Young and efficient staff. Medium-low prices considering the quality and abundance of the portions. In short, a place to eat well without being dazed by useless "special effects". I will definitely be back soon.

22/11/2024: Delicious dinner for reasonable money. Honestly, such quantity and taste is not so difficult to find. Everything is always fresh. I highly recommend it, there may be a little too much oil in the pastas, but very tasty anyway

19/11/2024: I can be brief. When you visit the market to buy local produce for your stay in Rome, you simply must have lunch at this place. For 1; the fish is fresh (next to the market), 2; the kitchen is traditional and local, 3; local clientele, 4; the warm welcome. We're difficult to convince when It comes to fish dishes but here our taste buds were celebrating. Everything from fish carpaccio to vermicelli (in The Netherlands we'd say Spaghetti) with bottarga is fresh and perfectly repared. We want to come back.

02/01/2025: We went for a simple aperitif and in the end we also extended it for dinner. Great food, great service! The place is very cute! The service was super and we thank you so much for the kindness and attention received.

27/12/2024: Suburra 1930 is a certainty: for the kind welcome of the owner, for the attentive service, for a well-kept environment and above all for the excellent food. Roman cuisine dishes, but also reinterpretations without ever falling into the pretentious. Unmissable!

15/12/2024: Excellent experience. We booked dinner and arrived on time, they immediately accompanied us to our table with a smile. Very friendly and polite staff. The salmon tartare is excellent. The cod as a second course is very good. The desserts are superb. Lots of attention to detail. Compliments to the chef. We'll be back.

10/11/2024: This spot was fantastic! From the second we walked in the service was fantastic and the calamari was sooo good! We asked the waiter where the bus stop was to get back to the train station and he not only told us but then looked up the time schedule for us. After the waiter realized the bus was not going to get us back in time to make the train. Someone who spoke good English came out of the kitchen and not only helped us come up with a plan but also arranged for us to get a private taxi to come pick us up in town and take us to make our train. Seriously above and beyond service. We are so grateful for all of you help and hospitality! Cheers 🥂

29/08/2024: We only had an aperitif, because I had already booked dinner at a restaurant in Trastevere... I spent more for the aperitif here than for dinner! Many places offer decidedly high prices for the aperitif, but on the other hand they also bring snacks and appetizers to accompany it while here they only brought us a bowl of chips, even a little stale... Definitely low quality/price ratio

04/01/2025: The food is excellent. We got pizza diavola and carbonara and peanut panna cotta. Everything was delicious and apparently it is a shop that the locals prefer. A bit small portions of the food (the wine was twice as much as usual). 40 euros for 2 people, you suggest.

25/12/2024: Christmas lunch 2024 We have just returned from Christmas lunch. A la carte menu so you can choose freely. The fresh fish appetizer, well prepared and served, was exceptional. Peppered with mussels, salmon and marinated swordfish, polenta with fish ragù and zeppoline. The first courses are excellent, both the ravioli and the risotto alla pescatora and the fusilli with burrata and clams. Abundant and delicious mixed fried food. Dessert panettone cake with cream and fresh fruit. Bitter, coffee to complete. Fast service despite the crowded room. Very kind waiters. Really fair price. It's really worth it and I highly recommend it! Dogs allowed 🐾❣️ We'll be back
