15/05/2026: We had lunch as a group (46 people) under the colonnade with a pre-arranged menu: the food wasn't bad, but the portions were truly meager. The portions of food on each plate decreased significantly as they were served, so much so that by the last few plates, they were truly meager. The best part was the main course (goulash stew), which consisted of 3-4 pieces of meat per person. Side dishes were limited to two plates of grilled zucchini, two plates of baked potatoes, and two bowls of polenta for 46 people. Our half of the table (more than 20 people) was served one of the two bowls of polenta practically empty, with the rude explanations citing absurd reasons. I will never return to this restaurant again, and I will ensure it receives the publicity it deserves.

27/04/2026: The premise: a satisfying dinner for two, perfect for satisfying the palate after a busy week of work. The analysis: finding a suitable location, a simple menu, a relaxing atmosphere, and a fair price/quality ratio. The menu: Toc in braide. 2.0, obviously, because it resembled more of a "sboba," a "broth of unappealing and unpleasant appearance and flavor" that constituted the rations of Italian soldiers in World War II. In short, instant polenta, which, evidently too hardened during cooking, had water added to preserve and redistribute its unexpected consistency, "enriched" by a sprinkling of smoked ricotta on the plate, as if it were raining, to try to cover the result. A "K" ration would have been better. A pumpkin and carrot flan, which by standards should have a silky, soft, and creamy texture on the palate, instead appeared grainy and mushy from overcooking. A baked pork shank with beer and potatoes. Now, calling them potatoes is truly offensive. I'd say they were more like black stones, tasting as if they'd been cooked and recooked every day for a week. The shank was certainly soft, flaking to the touch, but the taste of the sauce on the bottom of the plate and covering it altered the flavor. Too bad. Discussion and Limitations: The resulting reflection is a criticism of the chef's work. Incompetent. The table service was friendly and courteous, but if you noticed that dishes were being returned just after tasting them, ask yourself a question. Ask the customers a question. To understand, to grow professionally. The verdict: being taken for a ride is a condition I don't accept. 72.00 is too much. Recommendations: I wouldn't recommend it.

09/11/2025: Unfortunately, there were several things I didn't like: first and foremost, the bag on the table with LEFTOVER bread (in addition to a bitten slice, there was also a piece of lemon from the fried food we had at lunch, probably 🤮). The waitress pointed it out, removed it, and offered no apology for this poor service, which I consider very serious. The seafood spaghetti (2 portions) was quite "strange": at least 15 EMPTY clam shells and several mussel shells. There must have been 3 or 4 tiny clams in the pasta, certainly not the ones from the shells... I could think of many reasons for something like that, but I didn't want to assume the worst, otherwise I would have had to get up and run away. Finally, the house wine was terrible, both in its cloudy color and flavor; it tasted like spirit. For this reason too, it's best not to ask where it came from, but we definitely didn't drink it. We won't be returning due to the poor food, the lack of customer service, and the inadequate bill.

14/12/2025: Incredibly rude! If it's true that there's the option to order a pizza outside the menu, certain personal comments can easily be left unsaid. Remove this option without mentioning that I'm ordering a "minestrone" when I call for a pizza... A total lack of politeness and professionalism!

21/11/2025: Everyone's taste is their own, but to praise and extol this pizza as if it were a delicacy is, in my opinion, a very exaggerated and inflated review. The pizza is average; in fact, I ate it late at night. I'm sorry, but I'll avoid returning. Best regards.

10/05/2026: Everything was delicious. 😊 We enjoyed two spaghetti dishes: clams and sardines. The sauce was delicious, delicate, and perfectly complemented the excellent fish. The place was lovely and private, a pleasant break. Thank you!

12/08/2025: We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. The spaghetti vongole was simply fantastic, along with a bottle of house wine—that's what lunch should be like. The landlady knows how to make guests happy, and she's an excellent cook.

15/03/2026: We had dinner for the tasting menu featuring Rosa di Gorizia. The restaurant is retro yet elegant and welcoming. The menu was excellent and the wine pairings interesting. The service was attentive and attentive throughout the dinner, but never too intrusive. Special mention goes to the dessert with its matching cocktail, a truly memorable finale. Congratulations!

27/08/2025: We ate at the restaurant today and the waiters were all very attentive and friendly! It was completely full, but everything was quick and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

19/08/2025: Breakfast was poor. Being Italians, we prefer sweet foods, but at this hotel, breakfast was mostly savory. They had more cold cuts than sweet options. Only two types of croissants, and rarely any cakes. Service was almost nonexistent. We constantly had to alert the staff when water and cups were out.

25/03/2026: One euro and fifty cents for a plain coffee, at the counter. I think that might be enough to stop going there, given how expensive the front lines are. Think about it.

18/01/2026: I'll remember the delicious hot chocolate! Orange and cinnamon, thick, served with fresh orange peel and a marshmallow stick. Thank you. A treat.

02/05/2026: I love this little place, a little vintage and super welcoming. Excellent food, delicious treats, and good wine. The welcome was also... Super ❤️ thank you for everything. I didn't take any photos because we devoured everything without thinking about anything else but enjoying your fried fish and canapés... TOP indeed.

30/04/2026: We were out for a walk and passed by – it looked nice, so we sat down. We left after 10 minutes because the waiter/owner still hadn't acknowledged us after going in and out four times. On the fifth visit, he cleared our table from the previous occupants, didn't even greet us, just said "one moment," and then didn't come out for ages...

03/06/2026: As soon as we arrived, we were told that several dishes were missing from the menu, but that to compensate, there were some off-menu items, including the seafood linguine, which we ordered. We asked for a half-liter of still wine from the cask: they only brought us a quarter, and explained that the keg had stopped working. The second quart, however, was sparkling. The tuna tartare had a slightly unusual color and a rather strange flavor, even if partially masked by the stracciatella. The first courses arrived within ten minutes of each other. The stuffed ravioli (six of them) were acceptable, but the linguine, indeed: the mussels and clams had virtually no flavor and seemed very watery; the sauce, if you can call it that, was a tasteless red swill. The dishes didn't even look like the photos online. To finish, I wanted to order a decaf coffee, but that too was sold out. I felt sorry for the only waiter present, who was clearly overworked: one person in the dining room wouldn't have been enough. He also seemed very untrained. My partner had already been there once before and had a good time, so it was probably a really bad evening. That said, after an experience like that, I wouldn't recommend it: the risk of finding yourself in a similar situation is too high. The bill at the end of this experience was also too high.

31/05/2026: We booked our wedding lunch for May 25th at 12:30 pm, with confirmation received via email. On the evening of May 24th, we also stopped by in person to ask if it was possible to have lunch inside, and they confirmed that there were no problems. On the day of the wedding, when we arrived at the restaurant, we found it closed, without any prior notification. This caused a serious organizational inconvenience on a very important day for us and forced us, not being from Trieste, to look at the last minute for another restaurant that could accommodate us. We are still waiting for a response from the management.

17/05/2026: A stunning seaside location, ideal for dinner or lunch in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the dining experience didn't live up to expectations: the dishes were bland and lacking in character. A real shame, because the restaurant has great potential. Overall, I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for good food.

10/05/2026: Mediocre hotel on the outskirts of Gorizia. Clean rooms but dated furnishings. There's significant room for improvement, both externally and internally.

04/04/2026: A VERY TERRIBLE and EMBARRASSING experience. The building is old and the furniture is definitely from the 1970s, including the sheets and bedspreads. The staff were UNSUPPORTIVE and RUDE, from the front desk to the bar. Breakfast... it's better to have it somewhere else. The only positive thing is that we booked for two nights but left early... we only slept one day. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
