Al Chiostro In Gorizia

We arrived at the hotelier's recommendation. The place immediately struck us, thanks to its unique location in a private square in front of the equally unique hotel. I was particularly struck by the attention to detail in the table settings, which were uncommon but very refined. The Murano glasses were beautiful... while the owner of the establishment, a young, yet competent and empathetic ENTREPRENEUR, chatted with us, introducing us to the features of his service on a day most in the industry considered a HOLIDAY... EXCELLENT DISHES, some local and some revisited, but all, though simple, based on high-quality ingredients. The service was prompt. Perfect for an evening out. No noise, no crowds, no rush, and great attention to detail. Everything was well-organized. I'd say it was highly professional. Highly recommended.

I think I had the most delicious tiramisu of my life. My wife said so too. Solid elegance combined with delicious food.

I ended up here by chance with my family on a cold January 1st, when there weren't many places open in Gorizia. The restaurant, located in a very pretty square, was packed, so we had to eat outside. The staff was very friendly and initially served us quickly, but while the food was really good, the portions of the starters were quite small for the price. We ended up settling for the starters, partly because it was cold and no one else was coming. We paid and left. Overall, not a great experience.

Excellent in everything, food, hospitality and professionalism.

Good food quality and friendly service. Prices are high for this type of establishment (paper napkins and faux leather placemats in a rather bland and informal interior). The price was in line with the expectations listed on the menu, but a negative note is the price of the wine (local, recommended by the waiter), which was far too high and not communicated in advance. It's a shame, I was hoping for better overall.
