Everything was delicious. 😊 We enjoyed two spaghetti dishes: clams and sardines. The sauce was delicious, delicate, and perfectly complemented the excellent fish. The place was lovely and private, a pleasant break. Thank you!

In December 2024, we were looking for a nice place for dinner and, by pure chance, we discovered "El Fornel." How lucky! We enjoyed fresh, freshly prepared dishes, accompanied by excellent wine and friendly, attentive service. Everything tasted authentically like home cooking, and was truly delicious. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Trieste!

14/07/2026: Whilst I only popped by for a glass of wine, the friendly waiter went out of his way to get me some gluten free crisps to accompany the wine. Enjoyed the glass of whilst overlooking the piazza.
20/06/2026: This is a place we've frequented at different times over the past three years. It's in a very central location on Trieste's largest square. Unfortunately, the service standard outdoors is poor during the summer months. Otherwise, the indoor area, especially with its signature cocktails, is a good option for pre-dinner aperitifs. The unsuccessful DJ performance outdoors spoils the ambiance.

11/04/2026: Beautiful apartment and would be a nice location if not for a nightclub right across the street. It's IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP on a Saturday. They are blasting music so loud you feel like you're in the middle of the club. Definitely would not recommend to someone who actually wants a peaceful weekend
18/03/2026: I'm grateful for the owner's kindness and helpfulness. He spontaneously resolved a mixup with Booking.com. Since he couldn't confirm my reservation, he found me an alternative with the same price and conditions and went out of his way to facilitate my transition.
