03/02/2026: The restaurant is simple and slightly dated in its furnishings, in need of a remodel, but the quality of the fish really makes you forget everything else. We had a mixed grill of fish with fries: spectacular, fresh, and tasty. The fried calamari with potatoes was also excellent, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, not at all greasy. To finish, the sorbet and baba were truly delicious. With a glass of wine and a bottle of water, we spent €63.50, a fair price for what we ate. Highly recommended for those looking for substance and quality in the dish rather than aesthetics! I recommend booking because it's hard to find a table; the restaurant also has a veranda that's only open in the summer.

26/12/2025: I was recommended this place, so I took my family who came from Spain. We were all delighted. The gnocchi were delicious, the meat was tender and flavorful, the spaghetti with fish was unbeatable, the portions were generous and incredibly tasty, the service was spectacular, and the quality/price ratio was amazing. I 100% recommend it and we will be back.

19/10/2025: The place is very nice and well-kept. The service is good but nothing special. The dishes are very minimal; on the menu they appear to be more tempting than what you can find on the table. I wouldn't return.

08/11/2025: We were seated at the "osteria," which is essentially the bar where people from outside came and went for coffee. The first course arrived after almost an hour, cold and undercooked, sparse, and served in a bowl. The foie gras was good. They tried to charge €4 for the cover charge instead of €3.50, which is still excessive for a placemat and a paper napkin and the setting in which we dined. Four pieces of turnip and a greasy, tasteless sage leaf didn't qualify for the entrée. The owner was completely indifferent to our complaints. Despite the excellent wine list (even though the one we chose wasn't chilled), I wouldn't recommend it.

27/01/2026: I've ordered takeout twice and was satisfied both times. My only regret is not having eaten there, as it seemed like a really nice and welcoming place for a pleasant dinner. I hope I'll have another opportunity. I ordered a simple Margherita pizza, which was really good and, most importantly, it didn't weigh on my stomach (other pizzas, from other places, have sometimes given me heartburn!) and the desserts were simply stellar!! I ordered a simple pavlova, without fruit, and it was delicious both times!! A sweet treat!! The Tenerina was equally excellent!! And then, the staff was incredibly kind, which never hurts. Udine will always remain in my heart, and if I ever return, a stop here is a must. 🩷

04/01/2026: Lunch fell short of expectations. The pasta was overcooked, the fresh fish fillet was full of bones (we pointed this out, and were told it was normal), and the wait was very long. The service was courteous, but unfortunately the experience was still not a positive one. What a shame!

12/01/2026: We booked a Boxing Day lunch for seven people a month in advance due to the holidays. Arriving that day, we realized our reservation with a certain Salvatore wasn't on the list. Luckily, the place wasn't busy, so they seated us anyway. The dishes were good, but we noticed a bit of disorganization in the service from the start (the wrong order was served, and chips were requested for the children, but they didn't bring them for an hour). At the end of the meal, when it was time for dessert, we asked to wait ten minutes for someone else to arrive. Next, we asked for the dessert menu and were told the kitchen was already closed and we couldn't order anything else. Frankly, we were disappointed, as it would have been enough to let them know the kitchen was closing. Finally, the bill was out of balance for the experience. We won't be returning.

14/12/2025: We had a very enjoyable experience at this seafood restaurant in Trieste. We chose the five-course tasting menu, accompanied by a bottle of wine. Overall, the food was tasty and well presented. The chef clearly tries to bring creativity into the dishes, moving away from standard or predictable seafood recipes, but sometimes simplicity wins. A special mention goes to Salvatore Esposito, the manager and waiter, who welcomed us very warmly and made us feel at home from the very beginning. His hospitality alone is worth the visit even if his journey to the UK should perhaps not be for learning English!

03/02/2026: Pizzas with a thin, light crust, but I found them a bit salty. I would have avoided adding rosemary to the zucchini pizza scapece; it completely ruined it, a shame! The place is small but nice, the service is average, and the prices are slightly higher.

31/10/2025: We spent five days in Italy and had the best meal at the Pescada restaurant. Thanks to Lucca (Villa Carlotta) for the tip. The food was truly excellent, especially the mussels – they were absolutely divine! It couldn't have been better! Highly recommended!

21/10/2025: An unexpected lunch stop on a holiday. The first course, a mille-feuille with cod and arugula, was spectacular but bland; the dessert, on the other hand, was tasty but parsnip, unlike the rather hefty bill. A quarter of the house white wine was €8. An unforgettable experience.
