01/06/2025: A monument that stands on the remains of a large Roman villa, inhabited until late antiquity, which between the 6th and 7th centuries became a castrum of those Byzantines who had retained control of the nearby port of Aternum (Pescara) as a fundamental landing place and intermediate port between the capital of the Exarchate Ravenna and Constantinople, and who clearly created the first nucleus of the historic Torre Alex (from Alessandro Valignano, one of the lords of the Valignano family of Cepagatti in the 17th century). The tower was consolidated in the Lombard era as a control point of a strategic road junction at the crossroads between the S.S. Picena Aprutina and the routes that went up to Forca di Penne and the Aquilano, and which from the 11th-12th centuries became the seat of the lords of the fiefdom of the Norman, Swabian and Angevin eras of Cepagatti, and then passed from the 15th century to the Valignano family and finally to the current owners. The first archaeological investigations by the Superintendency date back to the 1970s and continued between 1998 and 2011 in Piazza S. Rocco, bringing to light important evidence of the Roman era preserved in the City Council Hall. The restoration of the Castle returns to the public the so-called “sala delle cisterne” (cistern room), an authentic and rare Roman cistern 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as the “sala del grano” (grain room), 340 square meters large on the top floor of the monument with a panoramic view of the Pescara valley. The restoration of the Marcantonio Castle, begun in 2008, represents a “place in history” and the over 2000 square meters spread over 4 levels offer the possibility of hosting particularly evocative events. Unfortunately, it is now in decline due to problems with the owners and is closed. Too bad...

31/08/2025: Very nice and very willing to serve us an aperitif before opening. Good wine and a charming location.

30/08/2025: A sublime aperitif!! We chose the first aperitif, which included a seafood platter, a mussel and clam stew, and finally fried calamari and prawns. Everything was truly delicious, the fish fresh. As for the fried calamari, it was truly exceptional; it melted in your mouth!! A truly enchanting location; eating in a trabocco is an experience you should try at least once!

12/08/2025: The best beach in Montesilvano if you want to feel free and treated like a human being and a friend. The family-run business guarantees attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. The sea is located in the cleanest area of Montesilvano, while the outskirts of town are the mouths of the rivers. I don't even mention Pescara. Last but not least, the food. You won't eat such fresh fish at any other beach. Once you try it, you'll never go back. Lunch and dinner in a fantastic Caribbean setting. Surfboards, kitesurfing equipment, and windsurfing are also available for rent, with award-winning instructors at your disposal.

25/08/2025: This restaurant was recommended to us by friends, so we decided to try it and were very pleased. The staff were very welcoming, very kind and professional. The fish dishes were delicious and fresh...not to mention the desserts! Excellent value for money ☺️

22/08/2025: We ate inside, but the entrance to the restaurant is already quite impressive with its sea view and trabocco. The simple dishes showcase the raw ingredients, and the service is excellent, informal, and attentive. The only flaw was the dessert, which, in our opinion, wasn't up to par with the one we'd eaten before.

16/08/2025: An overall disappointing experience. The location is poorly maintained, the service is distant and inattentive to the customer. The dishes are unremarkable, especially considering the final bill, which is disproportionate to the quality. A restaurant that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, more because of the service than the taste.

16/08/2025: Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. The location, which one would expect to be well-kept and characteristic, turned out to be anonymous and devoid of personality. The service didn't help matters: cold treatment, little attention to the customer, and sloppy management that made the atmosphere distant and unwelcoming. The quality of the dishes also didn't justify the price in any way: banal, characterless, and with disproportionate portions. Given the excessively high final bill, one would at least expect a significantly higher level of care and professionalism. The overall result was embarrassing: a dinner that, instead of leaving a good memory, felt forced and unfairly priced. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a serious restaurant that respects its prices.

02/08/2025: Ci sono stata a pranzo nel febbraio 2025 con la mia famiglia. Cibo buono ( pesce fresco), però il servizio e l'attenzione al cliente non eccellenti. Il proprietario dovrebbe imparare l'espressione "Il cliente ha sempre ragione".

26/07/2025: Locale accogliente e con personale molto gentile. Menù vario, sempre basato sul pescato fresco, quindi piatti ottimi, preparati con cura e abbondanti. In coppia abbiamo mangiato molto bene, dagli antipasti, ai primi ed ai secondi. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Lo consigliamo vivamente a chi ama mangiare una cucina a base di pesce.

03/09/2025: Everything was delicious, plentiful, and fresh. There's only one flaw I've noticed the last two times I've visited this place during the summer: after a certain hour, the service starts to speed up dramatically, making those sitting down to dinner feel like "superfluous," forcing customers to get up when they might want to finish their glass of wine or wait a few minutes between the last course and dessert, for example. It's truly disappointing, because the restaurant deserves it and is a small oasis of peace in the middle of the urban setting, which, especially on a summer evening, would be pleasant to savor more slowly. I'm still giving it 5 stars because they're fully deserved.

31/08/2025: The food was decent, nothing special or unheard of elsewhere. The two waiters were extremely kind and professional, a true strength of the place. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the attitude of the owner, who is also the chef: angrily addressing the waiters in front of customers is certainly not a good look. If he uses the same approach in the kitchen, it's no surprise that the dishes lack personality and flavor.

21/08/2025: The food was good, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. The staff felt very superficial and stiff, with little to no interaction. Each time dishes were brought, they were simply placed on the table without a word. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, I expected a warmer, more attentive experience to match. The quality of service did not live up to the cost.

31/08/2025: Our first time at this restaurant, six adults and four children, we found the atmosphere spacious and welcoming. The traditional seafood menu was excellent value for money, and the Cerasuolo wine from a Pietranico winery was excellent. The table service was impeccable. We really enjoyed our stay.

09/08/2025: We're motorcyclists and we travel a lot. We found this restaurant by typing "restaurant" into Google, and it brought us here. When we walked in, I have to say there was a delicious smell of cooking fish. It was tempting to begin with, but we still ordered, and surprisingly, beyond the smell, there was also the taste. Everything was delicious, and the prices we motorcyclists like. We ate a lot, paid fairly, and the service was friendly and always attentive. Nothing to say except that it's a shame they can't give six stars ☺️. This restaurant has been added to our favorites, and we'll definitely be back when we're in the area, or even if we're not 🤣.
