The ear listens to the stories of what you eat, the palate savors the freshness of the dishes. An experience paired with the right wine. The very friendly waiter occasionally cracks jokes and pleasantly brightens the atmosphere. Highly recommended. The price is adequate for the quality and meticulous cleanliness.

We were welcomed and pampered by the dining room team, led by the excellent Pierandrea! And we were advised on the various delicacies by a true Locanda owner, Mr. Nicola! We returned several times during our short stay, simply because each time we saw the various dishes being served... The legendary brodetto! A triumph of taste and flavor that, after sampling the fish, can be transformed into a sauce for a pasta dish to be sautéed again, allowing the culinary magic to continue until the final moment of enjoyment!!! All accompanied by a selection of local and non-local wines, offering excellent value! I can't give 6 stars on the format! We'll give them to you here! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟! Congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

20/02/2026: Yesterday we had two seafood risottos with baby octopus, clams, and shrimp. They were out of this world, believe me, I could have eaten a kilo of them. They were so good. The fried fish was well-cooked, and the sea bass with potatoes was delicious. But the risotto was mind-blowing. The owner was too serious, so let's smile, my goodness.

18/07/2026: A true seafood culinary experience. The fish is always incredibly fresh, freshly prepared daily. The dishes are truly special, from the raw fish to the hot appetizers, first courses, and fried fish—an experience not to be missed.

16/07/2026: I was here for a graduation. The quality of the food was excellent: even though there were people who didn't eat fish (or only wanted certain dishes), all our requests were met. We occupied the room overlooking the harbor: isolated from the rest of the restaurant, air-conditioned, and quiet. Excellent service: from the owners to the table service, it's hard to find a place these days where you're welcomed like this. I hope to return soon.

03/08/2026: The pizza was very good, but it's unusual to have no air conditioning in 40°C heat. We went at the end of June and it was broken; we returned in August and it's still the same! As good as it is, you can't enjoy your dinner and can't wait to finish. The staff was always friendly and smiling, despite all the customers complaining. A word of advice: report this issue when booking.

05/08/2026: The restaurant is near the sea.. Beautiful location.. They made my husband and I wait forever for two second courses and two side dishes while a couple they knew who arrived after us brought their appetizer, first course, 2 second courses, etc.. Terrible thing and terrible service... Even the food was nothing special.

26/06/2026: We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening as a couple. Considering the prices and location, we expected much more attentive service. Right from the start of the dinner, we were surprised by the wine service... The bottle was opened and poured directly without even offering a taste, a small gesture that should be expected in a restaurant of this caliber. After receiving the appetizer, however, a long wait began. After more than an hour had passed without receiving the first course, we inquired with the waiter, who asked if everything was okay. When we mentioned that we were still waiting for the first course, he went to the kitchen and we discovered that our order had simply been forgotten. After another wait of about half an hour, the first course finally arrived. The dish was overall pleasant, but the pasta was flavorless, lacking in salt and undercooked, so much so that some of the pasta was still stuck to the dish. Once we had finished the first course, we reminded the staff that we had also ordered the second course. Again, the waiter seemed surprised, as if the order had been forgotten again. After another 15-30 minutes of waiting, the fried fish arrived, unfortunately overly salty. We arrived at 8:00 PM and finished dinner around 10:30 PM. Despite numerous mix-ups and long waits, no one apologized, nor did we receive any kind of thoughtfulness or discount on our bill. An unfortunately disappointing experience, especially considering the expectations raised by the type of restaurant and the prices.

03/05/2026: We had lunch at the Taverna and were very satisfied. The food, expertly prepared (the great Leonardo), was excellent. What can I say about the staff: Susanna pampered us, and Ioana made the lunch much more enjoyable; the owner is very kind. See you soon.

30/03/2026: A monument built on the ruins of a large Roman villa, inhabited until late antiquity, which between the 6th and 7th centuries became a castrum for the Byzantines who had retained control of the nearby port of Aternum (Pescara), a key landing place and intermediate port between the Exarchate capital of Ravenna and Constantinople. They evidently built the first nucleus of the historic Torre Alex (named after Alessandro Valignano, one of the lords of the Valignano di Cepagatti family in the 17th century). The tower was consolidated in the Lombard era as a control point for a strategic road junction at the crossroads of the S.S. Picena Aprutina and the routes leading up to Forca di Penne and the Aquilano area. From the 11th and 12th centuries, it became the seat of the lords of the Norman, Swabian, and Angevin fiefdom of Cepagatti, before passing to the Valignano family in the 15th century and finally to the current owners. The first archaeological investigations by the Superintendency date back to the 1970s, and continued between 1998 and 2011 in Piazza San Rocco, bringing to light important Roman-era artefacts preserved in the City Council Chamber. The restoration of the Castle has returned to the public the so-called "Sala delle Cisterne," a rare and authentic Roman-era cistern measuring 22 meters long and 4 meters wide, as well as the 340-square-meter "Sala del Grano," located on the top floor of the monument, with a panoramic view of the Pescara Valley. The restoration of the Marcantonio Castle, begun in 2008, represents a "place in history," and the over 2,000 square meters spread over four levels offer the possibility of hosting particularly evocative events. Unfortunately, it is now in decline due to problems with the owners and is closed. What a shame... It is closed and abandoned. We hope the municipality of Cepagatti buys it back.
