29/07/2025: Last Sunday, for a family lunch, we chose Baco da Seta. The location was beautiful, but the service was terrible. The dining room was managed by two people who didn't understand Italian. They took away our dishes before we even ate. They had completely crowded the table and were breathing down our necks, so much so that in their rush, they knocked a glass of water onto the table and drenched us. I remembered this restaurant for the quality of the food, but I have to say that the fish, besides being clearly not cleaned properly (not to mention dirty), was completely unseasoned. The creamy scampi risotto, besides having numerous strands mixed in, tasted only of cream, and besides being a very small portion (maybe 50g), it seemed not to have been freshly made. The same thing happened with the spaghetti with clams. Let's not forget the fried fish, which arrived cold and rubbery. Inside the restaurant, there were two dogs sitting regularly on the chairs at a table next to us. At one point, a woman picked up one of these dogs and placed it on the ice bucket... sick! I had ordered a sponge cake with cream and chocolate chips for the occasion. They brought me a mille-feuille with cream and strawberries. So, to recap, €80 per person for 7 hot and cold appetizers, 6 first courses, 2 fried dishes, and a dessert (wrong). I'll add, NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!

03/09/2025: We chose the Sporting Hotel for our wedding reception, and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. 🌸 Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail: from the elegant decor to the excellent quality of the food to the impeccable service. Our guests complimented us on the magical atmosphere created, and this is thanks to the professionalism and attention of the entire staff. A special thanks to Stefania, who assisted us with patience and dedication from our first meeting, and to the maître d' Nicola, who with his courtesy and expertise made every course a perfect moment. We felt pampered every moment, without a single worry. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our most beautiful day unique and unforgettable. We recommend the Sporting to anyone seeking a refined, peaceful wedding filled with genuine emotion.

12/08/2025: Good location, friendly staff. Perfectly renovated rooms! The breakfast buffet could be improved a bit. Perfect shaded parking next door! Perfect beach! Minibar 0.5l water €6!! There's currently a large construction site in front of the hotel, but it's not a problem.

18/08/2025: Beautifully decorated place. The lady was very kind, the food was excellent, the pasta was cooked to perfection. I hadn't seen a Margherita for €6 in years. The result was 3 pizzas (Margherita, Marinara, and Bufalina), Calamarata with seafood, excellent fried food, 2 waters, 1 Coke, 1 glass of wine, 1 coffee affogato. ONLY €60. I wouldn't have left another place for less than €80. As a result, we returned on August 15th, but with 11 of us. Excellent experience and truly honest, finally someone is still there. The only flaw is the very small ice cream bowls, but I already told the lady that 🤣

15/08/2025: Nice place and good food. We really enjoyed the seafood sauce for the gnocchi, rich and well-blended. The fried fish and calamari skewers were also delicious, very delicate. The welcome was warm and the prices were fair, even for the drinks.

15/07/2025: If you are an ardent seafood lover, please do not miss this one. Amazing fresh tasting antipasti which barely leaves space for the mains. It is simply divine. A balmy evening dining on the outside is the ultimate evening experience in the gran sasso area. Service is excellent. Looking forward to the next one!

04/09/2025: A very good friend invited us to dinner here today: it's the very best fish restaurant we've ever visited. The many appetizers are unbeatable. The pasta is a dream, and the grilled fish platter couldn't be better. The only downside is: in the future, a fish dish in any other restaurant will be "okay" at best—and certainly never as sensational as in this family-run restaurant with its unique ambiance. The absolute culinary highlight ever! And I write this as a true Hamburg native (we're also called "Fischkopp") who knows what freshly caught food tastes like.

01/09/2025: Three of us went for lunch this Sunday (we had a reservation for 2:00 PM for four, but one of our daughters didn't show up). The restaurant is simple, decorated in white, with a beautiful sea view and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was slow: not that we ordered many courses, but the entire lunch lasted two and a half hours. This was partly understandable, given that the dining room was staffed by only two people, but for those of us who—as tourists—were hoping to enjoy an afternoon by the sea, it seemed excessive. Another critical point: the lack of a menu, neither for food nor wine. We had to rely on what was served, with no choice. The appetizer, a single and unannounced one, was a mixed platter with small samples: sautéed clams, mussels, scampi with tomato sauce, farro with shrimp, fried fish, and a gratinated razor clam. Everything was good, tapas-style, but I would have liked to have known in advance, perhaps so I could have opted for a raw ham. As for the first courses, the chitarrine with clams was excellent; my orecchiette with turnip tops and shrimp was more of a vegetable affair, and you couldn't smell the scent of the sea. The lemon sorbet with homemade fruit in syrup was very good, fresh and carefully prepared. When it came to the bill, the owner was kind and offered a discount, but he ended with an unfortunate quip: "If I had known there were three of you and not four, I would have given the table to someone else." After two and a half hours of lunch and with tables for two vacant next to each other, that's not exactly what a customer expects to hear. A phrase that may sound funny to the person who says it, but it leaves the wrong impression: is the problem really that there were one less?! In short: good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and reasonable prices, but the experience was marred by slow service, a lack of a menu, and an approach that risks appearing more arrogant than welcoming. With a little more attention, it could become a place I'd recommend without hesitation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

26/08/2025: Nice place, very good service. Too bad the rustic rock was soaked in oil and I couldn't eat it. The waiter admitted the obvious problem but added it to the bill anyway. Avoidable.

26/08/2025: The Scapece was decidedly too acidic. The monkfish cavatelli was bland to say the least. The tomato covered all the flavor. The seafood rustica was soaked in oil and had a sauce that must have been simmering for three days... I'd say we didn't eat well. The food is something else entirely.

The atmosphere is simple and elegant, the service is attentive, precise, and courteous, the cuisine impeccable, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. Highly recommended.

06/07/2025: Today for the first time my family and I spent a day at the beach at the Happy Days establishment in San Salvo. What to say: simply fantastic day. Very welcoming and well-equipped Lido, clean beach and above all lots of space between the umbrellas. Mr. Antonio and all his staff, very kind people and very present for every need. We also tasted the cuisine, everything excellent. I highly recommend visiting Lido Happy Days to spend a beautiful day and a well-deserved relaxation. Domenico (Foggia).

31/08/2025: The location and food were good, unfortunately they had some problems with the starters... there were 6 of us and first 3 arrived, then two and finally the last one who practically ate alone, otherwise a good experience.

29/08/2025: The seafood salad and cod meatballs were very good, as was the truly tender tuna steak. The pizza didn't look bad either. The garlic and oil with shrimp and burrata, however, was a truly flawed dish. The shrimp were overcooked, flavorless, and almost in broth. The place was nice, and the service was normal, though a little cold. I don't understand why it's called a Tuscan trattoria because there was nothing Tuscan about it. Plus, something must have burned because my eyes started watering during dinner.
